|1.14km from city centerDisliked: I honestly feel like the pictures posted on Bookings.Com are a total misrepresentation of what one walks into. We walked into an apartment that looked empty. The lounge area to be precise looked like our furniture was repossessed or we were new tenants waiting for furniture to be delivered. It looked cold and unwelcoming. The pictures on the other hand showed a fully furnished apartment with carpets and or a table in the middle of the lounge. 90% of the TV channels gave error 48-32, and the channels that play without a problem are kids channels. Apparently, the area has signal problems. The cutlery and crockery was a joke, 1 eating fork, 1 spoon, 2 steak forks, 2 teaspoons, 3 butter knives, no bread knife or chopping knives. 4 pots, only 2 of those pots have lids. Only 1 small serving dish, the other one had no lid. When we checked in, we had to pay R200 damage fees, which we were aware of, however, no one walked us to our room for an inspection, despite having paid the damage fee.....when we got to our room, the kettle lid was broken, the cabinet door on the island was broken... The accommodation is located on Grayston drive. It's a busy street, so obviously, there are no silent nights. So if you are hoping for a quiet day or night l, this won't be a place for you. The same night we checked in, we wanted to cancel our reservation and book somewhere else. Unfortunately for us when we went to reception, the reception was closed and we couldn't be assisted. for a place located in Sandton I had high expectations and they were definitely not met.

The staff were beyond anything I have ever experienced before and their willingness to go the extra mile is amazing. Comfortable, accessible and so beautiful, one can only sit back and take in these meticulously manicured lawns and most opulent surroundings. It feels like a little piece of Tuscany in the heart of Midrand Bravo all. You will definitely be on my most loved places to visit again.

One guy stood out for me his name is ”Essential” he went out of his way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms were fairly clean and had a nice mini bar fridge. The downside was that they didn't have microwave ovens in the rooms, Essential sorted us out through the restaurant. The wifi login tends to be troublesome, I'd prefer they improve on that or find a simpler way to secure it and still allow flawless connecting.

|4.54km from city centerMy husband and me, we traveled to ZA for the first time. Our first stop was at The Ashford guesthouse. That was actually a perfect choice! :-) I really loved their fittings and furnishings on the whole property. Everything was so lovely! We stayed there for 4 nights. The staff has been unbelievable great, too! As we are booth vegans, it was difficult to find the right accommodation. But the guesthouse staff is open minded to create a vegan breakfast every morning. It was delicious! The situation of the guesthouse is good, as you have the chance to walk to the Rosebank Mall close by. There, you can find lots of shops and restaurants. All in all, we definitely recommend this place! As we won’t make it to the Kruger NP this time, we definitely have to come back and we’ll book this guesthouse again! :-) Thanks for everything!

The rooms are clean, well sized and fully equipped. The bed was very comfy, and the bath was huge. The pool might need a little more attention. Elaine and her team are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Definitely not the last visit.

|11.73km from city centerWe had stayed at Prestige two and half years ago pre-Covid. Then the apartment was okay, but now, shocking. The shower door was broken, oven door was broken, the lock to the door half falling off. Holes in the wall, dirty as well. Grime in the bathroom and mould in the showers. The linen to the beds dirty and had holes in them and same for the towels. No shower mat so take care as the tiles are very slippery. Grime around the basin. No hairdryer. Our key was left in the door by the cleaners which was very bad form as anyone could have gone into our room and taken what ever they wanted. The sofas were very used and needed replacing. One positive was the staff were so lovely. Always had a smile and happy to help. Such a pity about the property. Sadly won’t be going back.

Everything went very well, and I highly recommend this Guesthouse with its welcoming, friendly, warm and smiling staff, always available to meet any need.
I had initially booked a room for only 5 days, I had no problem extending this stay directly on site.
The rooms are clean and well appointed, as are the collective areas. Very pretty interior courtyard. Breakfast is generously prepared by Prisca, incredibly kind and with whom it is very easy to exchange and share (I miss your smile :) ).
The street and the neighborhood are calm and safe, we are close (10 min walk) to activities / bars / restaurants on 7th.
I could not have asked for better for a first experience in Johannesburg.
Thank you again very much to the staff and owners! As promised, hope to see you again soon...

The staff are really so friendly and helpful as is Belinda but unfortunately the manor house is in desperate need of serious renovations. The staff kindly moved our room closer to our daughter at 9pm so they weren't prepared for someone to use the room. Be that as it may. The bathrooms need to be gutted. The weird ceilings should be closed up. The cupboards replaced. The mattress in our second room needs to be replaced. The gardens need redoing. The outside needs to be fixed up and painted. The decks need to be replaced. We didn't stay for breakfast as we were in a hurry. It is such a shame as the manor house is in a classy area. And once again the staff are trying their best in a very old house. I really hope they get the upgrades that they need to restore the manor house to its former glory.

|1.01km from city centerWe travel in December for a week with my family...I have seen some pics on the Internet and in reality it is not the same..the place is very old..the ac in the living room was out of order,we did not have keys with our room door to be safe,we ask for a cloth rack to be put in the room cause we didn't have one ,we never received it...I was in my period one night and the bedsheets got dirty with blood stains and my towels was dirty,I explain my situation and ask a new towel they told me to wash it my self.my bed sheet was not changed even if it was dirty, I remove it on my bed, I put it on the floor I sleep on a naked bed .one day they have done the rooms,they removed the bath towels and never replace them,when I ask on the reception they say they are not a hotel and they do jot have towels to give me.the dryer machine is not even hot and the cloths still wet ,the washing machine make a lot of water on the floor...this was my honest opinion...pls do some maintenance on the place .thanks

We arrived late after a long drive from Timbavati with our family, which exist of 15 people, youngest 3 months and oldest 74 years old. The owner was very thoughtful to switch a room to the ground floor for the less mobile people. In no time everyone was checked-in and settled in a beautiful rooms. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The owner and wife are lovely and friendly people. The garden with pool is beautiful, well-maintained with seats to sit and enjoy.

Housewives like to talk. Her husband, Gary, was an editor of a motorcycle magazine, but the magazine failed. Provide bread slices, milk, 4 kinds of fruits. Stayed two nights and was very quiet. There are no buses in South Africa and it can't be too dangerous to take them. It's not expensive to use UBER to go out. 36 rand taxi to the nearby shopping center.

The location of the hotel is very close to the exhibition hall. The white area is also very safe. After finishing the work, I return to the hotel for quiet finishing work. It is very comfortable and the parking is also good. No problem, big yard. The most important thing is that several of us return to the hotel is a kind of home feeling. The landlord couple is super enthusiasm, can provide food and travel help in life, the room contains drinks, coffee, European design, feels better than 5 star hotel is ok. The hotel environment regrets not taking a few more, looking forward to staying next time.
