|3.56km from city centerPlease Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

Our apartment was located at the 5th and last floor The apartment was very small, the room was 2 single beds and a little more, but I think it is the most of Madrid accommodations. the private bathroom in Madrid was a very small apartment. Room, not with shower but with bathroom (where you could still do the shower n.d.r.). at the end to wash and sleep was very good. good wifi, staff present H24. We liked it, I would advise and return.

There was air conditioning, an empty fridge and a safe which were helpful. The rooms were also cleaned each day. Breakfast was excellent with a continental selection of cereals, breads and pastries along with bacon, sausage and scrambled egg. The location was fantastic allowing us to walk to most of the places we wanted to visit but it was also close to the Metro.

Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor can be visited by foot or transit. As well there are shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is on a higher floor within a secure building and entry is by key code (and buzzed in when you first arrive). It is nicely decorated and kept very clean. The bathroom has a shower with good water pressure and plenty of light. Our room was 2 twin beds with nightstands, lights, and conveniently placed plugs. There was also a desk, TV, and area to hang clothes. Our room looked out to the inner courtyard and was quiet. The air conditioning worked though we found we didn’t need it at that time of year with the ceiling fan sufficing. The staff were very kind, professional, and helpful especially since our flight was a very late night arrival. I would definitely stay here again.

|0.19km from city centerThe hostel is located on the 4th floor of a building few mt away from Plaza del Sol so basically the center of the center and this should be a great news but... 1) The room is approx 16 sq mt , it can fit just a bedroom and a very small bathroom 2) The closet is basically non existent . You can just put there a very small luggage and no shelves 3) Below the hotel you have at least 4 restaurant and most of all a pub which is open until 5 AM, and you'll basically have 24/7 people singing , loud, ect. This will happen on every single day of the week, not only the weekend 4) Each single morning at approx 5:30 AM you'll get the noise from the road cleaning plus the trucks delivering the beer.... to the pub! 5) The room , as well the window, is not sound proofed so... good luck with your sleep 6) The sun is hitting the building almost all day, so this means at night it's like Frodo it's about to drop a ring in your room. 7) The A/C it's noisy and due the fact that the room is so small it's basically 1mt away from your bed. Good look with your health To wrap up: good place for a night, but no longer than that!

Sweet rooms, bad smell everywhere to the point of giving you arcades, bathroom shared with 7 rooms with mugre (we dare not use it) the door of the room was not closed well... the bed had chinches and the sofas I think they were not clean, summarized a lot of dirt. It has very good location - just in front of the bus stop that you can easily reach the city center and on a 5 min walking distance from the Metro station Colombia. Rooms are new, very clean, stylish and spacious, bathroom is big enough, the room had a big balcony to the inner yard (not noisy). Internet connection is more than perfect. Room was cleaned every day. The reception is 24/7 and very friendly The windows are soundproof but unfortunately the walls are not - they are rather thin so you ca hear every little and not so little noise from the corridor or next room (or maybe because the bed was just next to the corridor wall). Some guest were rather noisy late in the evening/night and makes it difficult to sleep The TV had no English channels

|0.44km from city centerOur family of three had a tiny room barely big enough for the beds and no space for luggage. The door didn't even close without having to push it past the bed. But the main reason for the 1 star is that our room was broken into our first night while we were out to dinner. The door frames are very cheaply made. Oddly, nothing was stolen but it was upsetting. We had to repeatedly ask the management to fix the door and nothing was done to make things right. We were told we couldn't be moved to another room until our last night there, even though the room next to us became available. There are no additional facilities - no common areas, no self-catering. Just a room and that's it. Some of the rooms seem to be of a good size but as stated ours was very small. There was no fridge. The hotel has security problems. It can be accessed by anyone through the back by entering through the main building doors which were never locked. There was even a ladder propped up near the back windows making it easy to climb up to access the unbarred upper windows. Repeated attempts to address this were met with indifference by the front desk staff and I was told to contact the owner. I emailed, called, and sent a whatsapp and never got a response.

It is located A 10-15 minutes walk from the station where a bus shuttle regularly (once every 15 minutes) to reach the airport. The staff is really friendly. Check in and check out easy and fast. There is a possibility to leave your baggage if you arrive before check-in and leave after check-out. I have not given the five stars because, unfortunately, the walls are really thin and the room neighbors and people in the streets feel, but with a couple of ears, everything is resolved. Another “negative” note is that shampoo and shampoo shower are very small and very difficult to open (I opened them by stripping them with my mouth 😅). So I recommend you to take the shampoo/shampoo from home. I found it really comfortable, and I would like to recommend the hotel to all, suggesting that you should take ears and shampoo/shampoo shower.

|1.33km from city centerOnly advantage to these apar**ents in my opinion is the location. The balcony is a Juliet Balcony, not big enough to sit on so this is misleading. The towels were very small and threadbare and you have to pay extra to get them replaced and clean ones. The cleanliness when we arrived was basic, the oven was greasy and apar**ent was dusty. The drains in the apar**ent were very smelly, they came and cleaned them but the smell came back the next day. There were no instructions or a welcome pack to give you an idea of the area ie metro lines, places of interest, just given key and not told the office is closed when you checkout. The area is very noisy and busy at all times but it's central so you have to expect this. The soundproofing between apar**ents is bad and you can hear people moving around at all times.

|4.61km from city centerFor the price of the room ( around 140 Euros or 7 nights), I was very satisfied. It is a family run hotel and all the staff were very helpful and some speak good English. There is no lift system but however, the stairs are wide and there are only a few floors. The free Wifi connection is good and there is a bar/ restaurant which is not expensive. The Metro is several minutes walk away and easy to find.

They initially put me in a good room on the reception side, but I asked to swap for the noise and they put me on the other side of the hotel (a door on the other side of the corridor. And it was great. No luxury, small room, but everything was clean and quiet. Except for a few days with more noisy guests, but nothing that would bother me much. Moreover, staff were very nice and requested and the hotel has a very legal balcony. Of course, the location is wonderful!

They refused us access to our room, even though the room was available and was prepaid. They said we should have arrived within a certain check in time, but this was not written anywhere in the confirmation nor policies we got, when we booked through ***********, which *********** also confirmed to us in writing The hotel just cancelled the booking (even though it was a non-cancellation booking), and they would not give us any help, give the money back or let us in to the empty room.
