I feel extremely lucky to have found this little gem in Hong Kong. The dorms are extremely well laid out, with plenty of space for the suitcase and personal belongings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean, the common areas are cosy, there's everything you need in terms of kitchen utensils, the water pressure in the showers is amazing, the rooftop is a really place to hang out in the evenings, and most of all, the host Patricia makes you feel at home. I got there solo, and after a few nights I'm leaving with a bunch of friends. This place certainly has a magical power 😊

You get what you paid for. Location was good, few mins walk to the metro. The room size was as stated in the picture only concern was the condition of the room, a few stains on the bedsheets & towel, the wifi wasn’t working even though it was a full bar and somehow the keycard given was able to access other rooms so that was concerning but other than that everything else was okay.

Self-service, every day you go out and come back to squat the door, now you need a password, the store should take the initiative to inform the guests of the newly changed password, not after a tired day in the middle of the night, squat the door, contact the store how much password, you have to wait to enter the door. Feel bad

Ah Shan Hostel is certainly a hidden treasure in the area. Despite the crappy building outside, the hostel is in a class of its own. The room was neat and tidy! The toilet was Super Clean! The staff and boss are nice & helpful. Free drinking water on the side. If you travel with 2 or 3 buddies, Ah Shan is your choice! Break the cost, it is much cheaper than staying at backpackers hostels. With a better environment. The location is quite convenient. Mong Kok MTR Station Exit B or D. Check-in counter is on the 14/F. If the door is closed, just PRESS THE DOOR BELL or call them. They all speak English and Cantonese well.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is very convenient, just a 3-minute walk from the subway station. Nearby restaurants and convenience stores make travel and daily life very convenient. The front desk was efficient and friendly during check-in, and they proactively explained the hotel's amenities. The room was clean and tidy, with no odors. The bedding was comfortable and the soundproofing was excellent, making it quiet and a restful sleep. The bathroom was clean, with prompt hot water supply, and the toiletries were high-quality. Overall, the value for money was excellent, and I would stay here again next time I visit the area.

The hotel is located in the center of Mongkok, close to buses, subways and train stations. Transportation is easily accessible in all directions. Nearby downstairs are the famous pedestrian streets, shopping malls, restaurants, etc., where shopping and delicious food are top-notch. The room is quite nice. Although it is small, it is well-equipped with everything, such as air conditioner, TV, hairdryer, etc. The landlady is very kind and enthusiastic. She always introduces us to the must-see and must-eat food nearby, and also teaches us how to take transportation to different attractions. We forgot to bring the adapter this time, so the landlady lent us one, which was very considerate. This room is suitable for a single person or a couple to live in. Whether it is the layout of the room, the equipment, or the service attitude of the landlord, it deserves a five-star rating. We will come again next time!

PROS: • near transportation, MTR station and bus stops are few mins walk • Ladies Market is few mins away • 7/11, groceries, restaurants like Ichiran, Bestmart 360, Donki, fast food are very near • landlady and landlord are accommodating, especially the landlady -she also knows English. They moved me to a different room after I told them my room smelled of cigarettes • hot shower is available and enough water pressure CONS: • rooms are small, just enough for sleeping. For solo travellers, it might be enough but if you’re 2 people, it might be small. You can only open 1 luggage at a time • hallways going to the units are not clean • landlord and cleaning lady doesn’t speak English, only the landlady spoke English • the first room I got smelled of cigarettes and had no windows, 2nd room was better but the pillows smelled of cigarettes • 2nd room had annoying sound. In bustling Mong Kok, where space is a luxury, for a price of around 100, you can't realistically expect high-end amenities or a luxurious environment. If you're looking for that, you'd obviously be booking a much pricier hotel. I shared a room for a night with a gentleman from India. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but he turned out to be very friendly. Check-in and check-out were very flexible; you just need to call the host for the access code, and you're free to leave whenever you're ready. Housekeeping typically arrives around 3 PM. The renowned Badminton Building is right across the street, and there's an abundance of street food stalls nearby – most of which serve up pretty good eats. This spot is perfect for solo travelers on a tight budget who want an authentic, in-depth Hong Kong experience. However, it's definitely not for those (especially women) looking for a refined, 'Instagram-perfect' stay.

After booking the room, the store has not contacted until the morning of the room entry. I took the initiative to send a message to him to add my WeChat account, and he did not have it either. I arrived at Jordan Station at 2 o'clock and kept looking for the hotel after 3 o'clock. In the end, I called him and he added me to WeChat, saying that I didn't see my text message. I left my mobile phone number when I booked the room, and even after the reserved check-in time, the store didn’t contact me at all. I thought the self-service hotel was interesting, but it turned out to be ignored. After arriving at the hotel, some questions are answered for a long time or not at all. One time is enough!

There are many popular restaurants and drugstores nearby. The front desk staff was very kind; they even found us a larger room because we had a big suitcase. The place is good for its price, we booked 5 days last Dec 2024 for 4 pax and we've got a 2 double size bed, the size of the room is enough for us, given the size of the other rooms/guest house in HK is small, I think we have got that best room with windows. The guest house is near MTR and shopping malls. I suggest that they update and change the address in google map,, so others will find it easy and faster ( we found the guest house after 30 mins😅) I have attached the picture here of the front view of the building for reference.

This location is about a block away from Jordan MTR - use B exit. It is a great location especially for that area and to get around. The entrance is located on a side street with golden lettering and you will need to get the pin for the front door. The Guest house is inside a residential building. There is always a security guard in the building which is nice. The Guest House is located on the 3rd & 10th floor however the elevator for the even number floors was out of service (We stayed there Apr 10-11) so we had to go either on the 9th or 11th floor to go up and walk to the 10th - this isn't the Guest House's fault but just more of a FYI situation. The elevator is tiny. Miss Chan was very helpful. She wasn't there when we arrived but the security guard let us in first and we mentioned the Guest House name. We called Miss Chan's number that was on the door via Whatsapp. My Cantonese is horrible and her english isn't the best but we worked it out in the end. We arrived earlier than check-in time and luckily one of the rooms we booked was already ready for us so we were able to store our things. We booked 2 triple bed rooms (1 on each floor). The room is cozy (That's also a HK thing - space is a rarity) but for the location and price it fit what we needed. I would stay here again if I come back to HK. It is also a 8 min drive from West Kowloon Train station.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient! 📍Room 503, 5/F, Haiphong Mansion, 53-55 Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (Take airport bus A21 to stop 14, Cameron Road, takes about 54 minutes). Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is right downstairs, and the A21 airport bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away. I chose this hotel specifically to attend a concert at Kai Tak! It's about a 10-minute walk to Tsim East MTR station (from Tsim East, you can take the Tuen Ma Line directly to Kai Tak Sports Park, which is only 6 stops and very convenient, costing 6.8 HKD one way). However, the room is indeed very small. It's perfectly fine for one person, but for two adults, it might be a bit cramped, especially with luggage! So, I highly recommend it for solo travelers! Within about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach New Harbour City, K11, Avenue of Stars, and China Ferry Terminal (where you can pick up City Line tickets). For food, I recommend: 1. Genki Sushi on the 2nd floor of Silvercord, a 5-minute walk away (great value for money, the sashimi is really fresh, and the tuna trio is a must-try – the melt-in-your-mouth tuna is absolutely divine). 2. For dim sum breakfast, Kowloon Cafe is just a 3-minute walk downstairs. Their breakfast set includes a Hong Kong-style milk tea for just 3 HKD, and it tastes very authentic.

There were several bottles of water left over from previous guests in the refrigerator that the housekeeper forgot to throw away. The housekeeper didn't refill the disposable towels, so we had to get them ourselves. The kettle didn't work because the plug didn't work with the outlet in the room. The air conditioning in the room for three people wasn't very cool. They should replace it; it was too hot for three people. The cleanliness was okay. The location was convenient and check-in was easy. The owner responded quickly via WeChat. The housekeeper needs improvement: she's sloppy and doesn't do a thorough job.

I honestly was very impressed with this place, Hong Kong is a tricky one when it comes to Accomodation and this place sa exactly what we needed. The dorm was comfortable and clean, with curtains. The double room was small but that absolute standard in HK in my experience, but had everything needed. Plus the best part, right next to our room, there was a balcony overlooking the huge park.. the staff used it for laundry drying but I was so happy to find it..!! one of the best views I’ve sen in Hong Kong when it comes to Accomodation. We had an enjoyable stay. Great location for hiking and sightseeing, very peaceful setting, lovely views of Lantau Peak and close to the Big Buddha, the chairlift and good bus connections to all over Lantau Island. The buildings have seen better days, as you expect at a youth hostel, but the showers are hot and effective, the kitchen and BBQ facilities are good and the bed is comfortable. The manager is very personable and friendly and it was nice to meet his family. There are few shops to buy ordinary supplies in Ngong Ping, except a very basic 7/11, so you need to stock up before arriving or be prepared to eat at the expensive tourist outlets in the 'village' or at Po Lin monastery. Tourist facilities shut down by 5-6pm.

The room and bathroom are small, which matches the price. The best part is the great location near the MTR and the easy self check-in/out. However, cleanliness was a problem—one bed looked dirty, and the other had hair on the pillow. I used my T-shirt as a pillow cover. The towel smelled musty, so bring your own.The power outlet next to my bed made strange electrical noises, so I didn’t dare use it. Lastly, the room isn’t soundproof—you can hear music and conversations from the neighboring buildings until after 1 a.m. on both nights I stayed. Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant stay for me.

I recently stayed at Harbour Hella Inn for 2 weeks and overall, it was a unique experience. The hotel offers a modern and compact concept that is both practical and comfortable, making it suitable for both short and extended stays. One of the standout features of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the housekeeper. She was incredibly friendly and made sure I had fresh towels every day, which added a nice touch to the overall comfort of my stay. Additionally, I appreciated the thoughtful provision of house shoes—definitely a cozy bonus! The amenities available in the pod were quite convenient. Having a microwave and an electric stove made it easy to prepare simple meals, which is especially helpful for longer stays. The view from the hotel was another highlight; it was truly stunning and contributed to a pleasant atmosphere. However, I did encounter some issues during my stay. The customer service staff, while friendly, were slow to respond on WhatsApp, particularly during an unsettling incident involving a creepy man. It would have been reassuring to receive quicker assistance in that situation, as safety is a top priority for any guest. In summary, the hotel offers a unique and enjoyable experience with excellent housekeeping and nice amenities. Just be prepared for potential delays in customer service responsiveness. I would recommend it for those looking for a budget-friendly option with a great view, but I hope the management addresses the customer service aspect for future guests.
