Honestly, the five-star rating goes to Xuebao, the concierge in the lobby. He was incredibly enthusiastic and made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived in Harbin. In contrast, the front desk staff were quite lackluster. The hotel's location is great, right next to Central Street, but the facilities are a bit dated, and the room cleaning wasn't particularly thorough. The room itself is very spacious, but the room rates are a mystery – they fluctuate constantly. The first time I booked, it was over 400 yuan, but after booking, I saw it dropped to just over 300, so I promptly canceled and rebooked. Later, due to a change in plans, I wanted to extend for one night, and the price was over 600 yuan. For this hotel, a price of over 600 without breakfast feels a bit expensive. The concierge's service really made up for the shortcomings.

The room was luxurious yet retro, and the hygiene was excellent. They had everything imaginable for children, and promptly responded to any requests – thumbs up! I'm so grateful for the room upgrade. When I arrived, it was pouring rain, and the front desk staff and bellhops came out with umbrellas, escorting each of us in one by one. The front desk attendant even helped me carry several large suitcases without a hint of hesitation – a huge thank you! The bellhop also braved the rain to park my car for me, and consistently opened doors whenever we entered or left. The complimentary afternoon tea was also quite good. You should definitely try the à la carte breakfast – it was delicious. All in all, it was a very comfortable and pleasant experience. If I ever come back to Harbin, I'll definitely choose to stay here again!

It's been a while since I last stayed at a Shangri-La hotel. This time in Harbin, I chose it because it's convenient for self-driving with ample parking, and its location is good for getting around. I booked a river view room, and the Songhua River night view was absolutely beautiful. The service was pretty standard. They asked for a 500 deposit for the minibar, saying I might consume items. I told them that as a Ctrip VIP advanced member, I've traveled all over China and never had to pay a deposit. What era are we in? If they're worried about guests consuming items, they could just remove those few cans of Coke and Sprite. The hotel room was small and the facilities were old, probably due to its age. But surely the service could be improved? This is a major reason why several international big-brand hotels in China are losing market share to other chain brands. They really need a wake-up call.

The thoughtful service at the lobby bar instantly uplifted my spirits upon arrival; it was such a delightful welcome. The afternoon tea was incredibly exquisite – almost too beautiful to eat! It was perfectly sweet without being cloying, and every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. What truly impressed me was the hotel's extensive facilities; from the gym to the meticulous room details, everything was flawless. I honestly didn't want to leave the hotel once I checked in!

Exceeded expectations, highly recommended! Next time I come to Harbin, I'll definitely stay for more nights. Before arriving in Harbin, when booking a hotel, besides location and facilities, my main concern was whether there was a pool for kids. After much deliberation among several star-rated hotels, I finally chose Shangri-La Songbei. It turned out to be the absolute best decision of our Harbin-Yichun trip. The most surprising thing? It has to be the hotel's window view! We gasped the moment we entered the room – it was simply stunning! How could there be such a large window, such a beautiful view of the Songhua River, and such a perfect hotel? This scene made us never want to leave the room; just quietly sitting by the window and enjoying the scenery was enough. Next, let's talk about the hotel's service, which was also top-notch! We had an early flight back to Beijing on our departure day. We had booked a room with breakfast, but since we had to leave by 6 AM, we wouldn't be able to enjoy it. So, when checking in, I asked the front desk if there was a solution. The hotel offered a incredibly thoughtful plan: they prepared simple packed meals for us to take away. When we checked out, I saw three bags for the three of us, and each bag contained three packed containers with fruits, pastries, eggs, sausages, and more – it was so comprehensive! Who wouldn't love such a considerate hotel? Finally, one more thing: there aren't many dining options near the hotel. There's only one dumpling restaurant across the road. We navigated there, walked around for a long time, and just as we were about to give up, we discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant nearby called 'Dufu Smoked & Sauced Dumpling Longjiang Cuisine.' I highly recommend this restaurant too! The dishes are diverse, delicious, and affordably priced. It's truly a treasure! I'm already planning to replicate this experience with Shangri-La Songbei and Dufu Restaurant on my next trip to Harbin – I'm so excited to plan my next Harbin itinerary just for them! 😘

My stay at Fairfield Inn this time exceeded my expectations! Upon arrival, the front desk staff were warm and polite, making check-in efficient and smooth. They answered all my questions, providing incredibly thoughtful service. The hotel's common areas feature a simple and warm natural wood style. The lobby lounge is clean and elegant, with a tidy and bright space, meticulously maintained throughout. I particularly want to highlight the restaurant; the dining environment is spacious and comfortable, with a relaxed and uncrowded layout. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of options, including hot Chinese dishes, whole grains, and fruits, all fresh and promptly refilled. The entire hotel is clean and refreshing, with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. It's suitable for both short trips and extended stays. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

This was my first time staying at a Mercure, and its location in Harbin's tourist area is excellent. The twin room offered great value for money. The staff were very professional. The room was a bit small, but well-designed, and surprisingly, it even had a mini-fridge. Initially, I had booked a non-Mercure hotel, but due to a typhoon, I had to cancel it. By the time I rebooked, there were no twin rooms left. The lobby of this Mercure hotel was quite small, which made me a bit apprehensive at first. During peak tourist season, family and twin rooms are really hard to come by. But since I was traveling with elderly family members, we had to make do. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel is actually quite large with many rooms and excellent service all around. Our twin room was not facing the street, so it was very quiet, perfect for the elderly to rest. My family was very satisfied with this hotel during our trip to Harbin.

Getting around is super easy too; the subway station is just a few minutes' walk away, and it's only about a 10-15 minute taxi ride to various attractions. I've stayed at quite a few Hampton Inns, and this one in Harbin was generally quite disappointing. Location: It's in a popular commercial area, right next to the Heilongjiang Museum. Building: Seems to be an older structure. Front Entrance: Narrow, making it difficult to get in and out of vehicles. Lobby: Decent, no major issues. Service: The front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming. I don't expect over-the-top enthusiasm, but a basic level of professionalism would be good. Room: The TV resolution was low, and the bed wobbled when I turned over; even stuffing towels under it the next day didn't help. The window was quite small and looked dirty. Bathroom: No smart toilet, and the showerhead was leaking.

The hotel was clean and tidy. I chose to stay at the Sofitel Harbin for my trip to Harbin this time, and my overall experience was exceptionally satisfying. It truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing, high-end five-star hotel in the area. The hotel's location is excellent, directly opposite Xiangjiang Park and adjacent to Wanda Plaza, making shopping, dining, and short excursions incredibly convenient. In my leisure time, I could even stroll through the park to enjoy the scenery and relax. The lobby features a French-inspired light luxury design with a sophisticated feel. The high ceilings paired with exquisite chandeliers create a rich and elegant atmosphere. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, and daily housekeeping is meticulous. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and each room is equipped with a humidifier, perfect for the northern climate. The double-glazed windows provide excellent sound insulation, ensuring a quiet and undisturbed rest. From the concierge to the front desk and housekeeping staff, everyone was highly professional. Check-in was efficient and smooth, and the service was attentive and discreet, without being overly solicitous. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, including local Northeastern specialties. The heated swimming pool and 24-hour gym are well-equipped. The hotel's unique forest tribe theme design is refreshing, with its wooden decor exuding a premium feel. Taking the express elevator directly from the underground parking garage to the sky lobby on the 42nd floor, the stunning panoramic views of the Songhua River immediately took my breath away. The room is spacious and gets great sunlight. The disposable amenities provided are top-notch for a hotel in this price range. The front desk service was excellent; they met all my needs within five minutes. The location is the best I've experienced in all my stays in Harbin – it's super close to Central Street, Flood Control Memorial Tower, and the subway station. The Hongzhuan Street morning market is right downstairs, and there are plenty of great restaurants within a 10-minute walk. This was the first time I've returned to the hotel so many times in one day: after shopping, after dinner, after buying drinks, and after visiting the morning market, and even brought back breakfast! The fried yellow croaker for breakfast was delicious, and they even froze the ingredients I packed the day before and then cooked them for me. I originally bought a pre-sale voucher, but couldn't book a slot on the day, and it turned out to be even cheaper to just book directly. The location isn't very convenient; it took over 20 minutes to get here by taxi from Harbin Station, and the nearest subway is more than 2 kilometers away, so taxis are the only option for getting around. The room itself was pretty standard, and they provided bottled water, though I didn't recognize the brand. Service, however, deserves criticism. After this brunch, I was full of energy and ready to explore. The service is thoughtful and warm; every staff member in the restaurant had a friendly smile on their face. The 3D-printed yogurts in the pictures are incredibly cute; I took photos of all of them to cherish. Although my dietary choices were somewhat limited due to ethnic considerations, I was delighted to find Lanzhou hand-pulled noodles here. Their roasted chicken also tasted exceptionally good, and today I even had stewed chicken with mushrooms – I'm so satisfied! The room offers a splendid view, with the beautiful Songhua River scenery right before my eyes. The housekeeping staff always greeted me warmly whenever we met. On my first day, I even received frozen pears in an insulated container and a handwritten note, which was such a thoughtful touch. The transportation is super convenient; the hotel is right next to the river cable car, a five-minute walk to Central Avenue, and it's only about a twenty-minute walk to Saint Sophia Cathedral. What an amazing hotel!

Facilities: There's a restaurant on the first floor that offers breakfast. The selection isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The room was spacious and had a large window. There were no strange odors, and the bathroom was a good size with a separate wet and dry area. Ambiance: Clean and tidy, with lively decor. The signature Ibis red makes it feel warm and inviting. Service: The young lady at the front desk had a smile that could melt anyone (and I'm a woman!). She was a major highlight of the hotel – so enthusiastic and empathetic. When she saw my mom and I were sharing a bed, she proactively upgraded us to a twin room, which was also very spacious, and even gave us complimentary egg tarts upon check-in. Her proactive spirit and warm service made our stay truly enjoyable! 😀 Hygiene: The hotel maintained the usual Ibis standard of cleanliness. There was no hair on the room floor, and both the toilet and shower areas were excellent and very spacious.
