This hotel is conveniently located near the Songhua River, with Central Street and Hongzhuan Street Morning Market just next door. St. Sophia Cathedral is also within walking distance. There are tons of local specialty restaurants nearby, and shopping malls are very close, too. The transportation is excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. The room was clean and cozy, which I really appreciated, and the service was great. I highly recommend staying here. Plus, there's complimentary warm tea in the lobby, which is a lovely touch.

Initially, I booked this hotel because I was drawn to its century-old elevators, a unique feature. My child was amazed by the grand, gilded lobby. But what truly stood out was the exceptional service. A staff member helped with our luggage upon check-in, and when my child forgot their homework, they even printed it out and delivered it to our room. During our stay, a kind housekeeper laundered our clothes and brought them back. Since our train wasn't until the afternoon and my child needed to do homework, they even provided afternoon tea. On top of all this, the hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to get to all the attractions. It's highly recommended, especially for families with children.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Stay! We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The location couldn’t be better—perfect for exploring the city. The hotel itself has a bit of old-school charm, but everything is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and personal, always making sure you feel welcome. A huge highlight for us was the playroom for children. It’s not just a room—there’s actual staff looking after the kids, which gave us some rare relaxation time. Huge thumbs up! Breakfast is a massive buffet with plenty of choice. And if you book the Horizon Club, you get free drinks and food all day long. Absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be back!

I saw some negative reviews and was a bit nervous before checking in. However, my stay turned out to be fantastic! Everything from the service, hardware, and breakfast, to the gym (all Technogym equipment!), and the excellent quality of the pastry at breakfast, met all my expectations. The breakfast buffet at New Paris is absolutely amazing 😋! They have all the facilities you could ask for, and the freshly baked bread is delicious, fragrant, and crispy. The juices are perfectly sweet and tart, and there's also freshly cooked hot congee served with refreshing side dishes. All the ingredients are fresh, and the comfortable seating makes the meal even more enjoyable. The location is super convenient, right next to the Workers' Cultural Palace metro station. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming, and there's a charming little church nearby that's perfect for a quick photo op.

Overall, it's a pretty good hotel, and I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Harbin. The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, and you can also walk to St. Sophia Cathedral and Central Street. We booked what I assume was a standard room; it wasn't huge and didn't have a desk, but all other facilities were complete, including a fridge. The room and bathroom design were quite well-thought-out. The breakfast selection was also quite rich for a hotel of this caliber. The staff were very helpful and considerate of guests, making it the best of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip. In particular, Restaurant Manager TAN provided proactive and excellent service, making breakfast a very pleasant experience.

The hotel service exceeded our expectations! Every staff member was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The welcome package was substantial (as pictured), and there was complimentary afternoon tea with adorable tanghulu (candied hawthorn berries) and donuts 🍩, which my child absolutely loved, plus a late-night snack! 🥳 The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was plentiful. Most importantly, the location was super convenient – after checking in, we headed straight to the Songhua River Ice and Snow Carnival! ✌️

Traveling with my child, I initially booked a king-sized bed. Upon arrival, I saw they had family rooms, so I paid the difference to upgrade. This room is truly spacious, easily 30-40 sqm! It's very well-equipped with a mini-fridge and a humidifier. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area with a double vanity, which is super thoughtful – no more rushing to get ready when there are multiple people in the morning! The room price was also very reasonable. The room temperature was actually quite warm, and the staff were incredibly friendly, truly embodying that heartwarming Northeastern hospitality. It was really great!

The hotel is just a five minute walk from the nearest metro station. The street the hotel is on is a little dilapidated (at least in late April) but has its own charm. My room was comfortable and a good size for a solo traveler. The buffet breakfast was big and the selections changed a but every day. I was there during the Labour holiday do there were many guests, and the staff replenished the different dishes often. I didn't use the laundry room but I took a look... Currently only one washing machine is in service. The finally, all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Very good location with only 3 minutes walk to the Central Street.  Services are ok. Breakfast is good.  We booked 2 rooms.  One room is good but the other one looks old and dirty with broken tiles at the entrance.  Toilet is smelly too  We made a complaint, they changed room for us the next morning, the new room is slightly better but the toilet is in bad shape. We stayed from Feb 15–19, 2026 in the Executive Suite River View King (room 2116) with breakfast and lounge access. The hotel truly lives up to its comfort. The suite was spacious and offered stunning river views that made mornings feel serene. The location was excellent, close to the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival. The check-in receptionist was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the welcome fruits and almonds arranged on the first day. Housekeeping, however was disappointing. Daily cleaning felt incomplete, with tea bags, sugar, cups, and glasses not replenished. The welcome fruits were left to spoil and were never replaced. Overall room cleanliness was only 3/5, which felt below expectations for a suite at this price point. The breakfast buffet provided both local and international options but the dishes were average and repetitive. We saw the same items every day, which quickly became boring. Overall, the suite and location were enjoyable but housekeeping and breakfast variety need improvement. A convenient choice for exploring Harbin while still feeling like a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city.

The hotel was spotless and really clean. I just booked it on a whim, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The decor is simple, elegant, and very stylish, great for taking photos. The bed was perfectly comfortable, not too soft nor too hard, and the pillows were just the right height, ensuring I had an amazing night's sleep. The room was well-equipped, and the internet speed was fast, perfect for both work and leisure. The hallways and lobby were very quiet, and the management was clearly well-organized. The staff were professional and patient, and their attention to detail really showed their high standards. After staying here, I felt completely relaxed, not at all like I was on a journey. I'm a guest who recently finished a trip to Harbin. I'm writing this specifically to commend your hotel's butler, Sally Zhang Xinran, and Emma Han Yu from the breakfast restaurant front desk. I've been to Harbin many times, but this was my first time visiting as a tourist, and I unhesitatingly chose the Aoluguya Hotel. From the very beginning of my trip, the hotel service left a deep impression on me. Firstly, the butler, Sally Zhang Xinran, made me feel the hotel's warmth from the moment I set out. She not only offered me many travel suggestions but also promptly responded to all my questions during my stay. Secondly, there's Emma Han Yu from the breakfast restaurant. On the last day of my trip, an incident occurred at the breakfast restaurant. On check-in day, the hotel front desk explicitly told me that a meal voucher needed to be purchased separately for my child and that I could buy it when dining. So, during my stay, I always purchased it before meals, and for the first two days, there were no issues. However, on the last day, a restaurant staff member not only told me very bluntly that this operation was not allowed but also rudely interrupted my explanation, completely disregarding the guest's feelings (objectively speaking, it was my first time encountering a star-rated hotel staff member who wouldn't solve problems but only said 'No'). At that moment, Emma Han Yu, from another counter, intervened immediately after handling other guests' issues. She not only showed extremely high professional standards but also quickly provided a perfect solution, easing the awkward atmosphere. Emma Han Yu's crisis management ability displayed on the spot is a fundamental quality that any hotel professional should possess. She also fully considered the guest's feelings without compromising the hotel's interests. What's even more commendable is that she maintained sincerity and patience throughout the process, making me feel like family. For a traveler about to leave Harbin, this kindness from a stranger was incredibly precious. She filled the end of my Harbin trip with warmth, bringing it to a perfect close. Employees like Sally Zhang Xinran and Emma (Han Yu), who possess both professional competence and a warm service attitude, are the hotel's most valuable assets. I hope the hotel management can acknowledge and recognize their excellent performance.

Wanted to give my thanks to Joe for picking us up in the airport and helping us all around. He is naturally helpful and kind. Well the hotel is grand. It is old but they maintain it. We booked suite room and it is very spacious and comfortable. Bed is just fine and huge bathroom. They make sure to clean our room every day. Location wise is excellent . Close to many malls, travel time to sofia church and some other famous attractions is about 25mins. Just the food selection in this hotel is limited. The chinese restaurant seems close or fully booked all the time and the japanese restaurant is close the whole duration of our week. Hotel says because its off season. I'm writing this review today because of Amy, an amazing lady at the JW Marriott Hotel Harbin. She was like a warm haven in the middle of the Harbin Ice and Snow World [smiley face]. Our stay at the Marriott was during the latter part of our Harbin trip. The morning we returned to Harbin from Snow Town, Amy called to confirm our itinerary and asked about our room preferences. She arranged a room with a view of the Ice and Snow World, and we were truly amazed the moment we stepped in. Because I hadn't read the details carefully, I discovered upon arrival that breakfast wasn't included in my package. My attempts to resolve this with the booking platform were unsuccessful. For someone like me who absolutely needs breakfast when staying at a hotel, this was really hard to accept, but since it was my own oversight, I had to just accept it. Later, I spoke with Amy, and after understanding the situation, she consulted with her superiors and helped resolve the issue. The hotel facilities are meticulous, thoughtful, and high-quality. I'll definitely book Marriott hotels in other locations again. Five-star rating, all thanks to the staff here. [smiley face]

Went with my husband during the off-peak season, and the price was unbelievably low again after using points, only about eighty yuan. The location is excellent, very close to the museum. If you turn left when you go out, there's a spot that's not listed on maps, and the night view there is stunning. It's clean and hygienic, and the front desk staff provided superb service. Highly recommended, great value for money. There's also a morning market nearby worth checking out.

The moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt the warmth of Harbin. The winter melon tea offered by the concierge was delicious. Every staff member at the hotel was incredibly nice after check-in. This was my first time staying in a hotel with two bathrooms, which was a huge blessing for a trip with my best friend. No more fighting over the bathroom for showers and getting ready! Even though I missed the snow season, I still had a great time. The hotel is right at the subway entrance, making it convenient to go anywhere. The cross-river cable car, which is worth experiencing, is just across the street. The afternoon tea and traditional costume fitting offered by the hotel were also very unique. Very pleasant hotel for a short stay in Harbin. It’s an Ibis, so you know exactly what it will be like. Rooms are simple, but clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location is okay, but there is another Ibis about half a mile down the road that is closer to the main attractions. Still, a short and easy walk to Central Street. The staff are extremely helpful and polite, and the breakfast is good, with a wide range of dishes (especially pickles). Recommended!
