Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig Harbin|2.8km from city center
Overall, it was pretty good. We stayed in three rooms consecutively. On the first day, we were in building B, and the room had a strong musty smell that wouldn't go away even with the windows open. For the next two days, they moved us to building A, which was much better. The hotel's location is excellent, right on Central Street, very convenient for the Songhua River and the Hongzhuan Factory morning market. The service was also good. The complimentary afternoon tea was really pointless, and I'd suggest they don't offer it next time; something more practical would be better. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. All in all, it was a decent stay.

We wanted more than luxury . We wanted a hotel that truly reflected Harbin’s character, heritage, and history. We are glad to have discovered this hidden gem. Mansion 1903 Hotel is probably one of the most charming hotels in Harbin, beautifully blending old-world elegance, modern comfort, and strong Russian heritage. The location is excellent, conveniently close to Zhongyang Street, yet peaceful and refined. The rooms are spacious, clean, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable, while the staff are warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Their service made our stay especially memorable. The elegant lobby environment, together with the traditional Sarafan and Kokoshnik costumes, also provided a wonderful opportunity for photography and added to the hotel’s unique cultural atmosphere. Special thanks to Mr. Deng for his meticulous sharing and introduction of the antique collections displayed in the hotel lobby. His passion and knowledge greatly enriched our experience.

The service was excellent. Its location near the attractions was super convenient during the May Day holiday, and the price was very reasonable. Both the front desk and room service staff were very welcoming. It's close to Central Street and the Red Brick Morning Market, and the Songhua River is right downstairs, visible from the room.

The experience at the New Paris Hotel was absolutely fantastic! 🏨 The room was super clean and tidy; as someone who pays attention to details, I couldn't find a single flaw 😛. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help and very thoughtful, especially the male manager (the one without glasses)! He was mature, steady, polite, and maintained appropriate boundaries with guests. The facilities were also comprehensive, making for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The front desk staff were very friendly, and check-in was quick. The bedding in the room was clean. The housekeeper was prompt and patient when bringing the items we requested. We booked a standard room, which wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate for our family of three. Breakfast was decent, a mix of Chinese and Western options. This hotel is super conveniently located, just a 6-7 minute walk from Saint Sophia Cathedral and Daoli Market. Central Street is about a 15-minute stroll away. Getting around is a breeze too, whether you prefer a taxi, bus, or shared bike. The hotel facilities are top-notch, featuring smart toilets and Dyson hairdryers. Each room even has a mini-fridge stocked with Coke, Sprite, drip coffee, and tea. The front desk staff and housekeepers were incredibly friendly and polite, always greeting guests. The breakfast was surprisingly excellent with a huge variety of options, including different stir-fries, cold dishes, fruits, yogurt, juices, main courses, cheese, and coffee. They also offer afternoon tea, and even gave me a souvenir when I checked out. I highly recommend this hotel! Harbin was great, and I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

Traveling with my child, I initially booked a king-sized bed. Upon arrival, I saw they had family rooms, so I paid the difference to upgrade. This room is truly spacious, easily 30-40 sqm! It's very well-equipped with a mini-fridge and a humidifier. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area with a double vanity, which is super thoughtful – no more rushing to get ready when there are multiple people in the morning! The room price was also very reasonable. The room temperature was actually quite warm, and the staff were incredibly friendly, truly embodying that heartwarming Northeastern hospitality. The ground floor greeter was very friendly and proactively helped with my luggage. The breakfast was excellent, offering Evenki milk tea and freshly made dumplings, a better experience than what I had at the Ritz-Carlton Fuli. The hotel lobby is on the 42nd floor, so you have to transfer elevators at the 42nd floor to get to and from the rooms. The hotel is located in a commercial area, which makes dining and getting around a bit inconvenient. It's fine if you're on a business trip and don't plan on going out much. Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig Harbin|2.82km from city center
Let's start with the positives: The room was very clean, so no worries about hygiene. The environment is nice, and it's convenient for getting around. The facilities are a bit dated, which is understandable. Now for the negatives: Most of the front desk staff were polite, but there was a lack of thoughtful consideration when assigning rooms. I was traveling alone with a very large suitcase and had booked a king-size bed room. The front desk asked if I was checking in alone, and I confirmed. However, upon entering the room, I found there was hardly any space to open and lay out my suitcase. I eventually had to prop it up against the bathroom door, which made getting in and out of the bathroom very difficult. When I called to request a larger room, I was bluntly told that the room I booked was this size. I was quite surprised; did they think I hadn't stayed in many hotels before, or did they genuinely not have any other rooms available? I hope the hotel provides better training in this regard, as communicating with guests like that is sure to lead to more complaints.

The location is decent. If you're visiting Harbin during peak season, staying at a hotel outside the Central Street area like this one offers a more reasonable price. Right across the street, there's a good dumpling restaurant which is a plus. It's also convenient to call for express delivery services to send things home from the hotel. The hotel itself is quite old; the service, facilities, and room size are all pretty average.

Harbin Central Avenue/Saint Sophia Cathedral/The Memorial Tower of Fig Harbin|3.1km from city center
This was my first trip to Harbin, and I booked a riverside hotel near the Songhua River on Ctrip. My stay at the Harbin Habsburg River View Hotel (St. Sophia Church branch) was overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the service and breakfast. From the greeters and front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was consistently described as 'warm, attentive, and caring,' making it feel just like home. They even offered complimentary access to the executive lounge, which truly showed how thoughtful and considerate the hotel is. The breakfast was incredibly rich and featured local specialties. What really stood out was the long serving time, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing us to sleep in and enjoy it as a brunch – a luxury usually only found in international resort hotels. The variety was impressive, including Northeastern dishes like 'kill-pig' stew, chicken stew with mushrooms, 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork), iron pot stew, frozen pears, and Kvas, along with Lanzhou beef noodles, wontons, tofu pudding, and big bone stews. The hotel's location is also excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk (500 meters) to Central Street, the Flood Control Monument, and the Chinese Eastern Railway Bridge. St. Sophia Church and Daoli Market are within a 2-kilometer walk. Directly across from the hotel is the entrance to the Songhua River Cableway. We stayed on the 11th floor in a high-level river view room, offering distant views of the river and Swan Castle. The night view was truly beautiful. The room was well-equipped with a humidifier (essential in dry Northeast China), heated eye masks, sleep earplugs, a foot bath, bath salts, and charging cables. They also provided a complimentary fruit platter and snacks daily, and the bottled water was from Quanyangquan. This hotel is a 'service-driven' choice offering excellent value for money. With its thoughtful service, abundant breakfast, and convenient location, the Habsburg is definitely worth choosing. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Harbin and would even recommend it to friends.

Facilities: There's a restaurant on the first floor that offers breakfast. The selection isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The room was spacious and had a large window. There were no strange odors, and the bathroom was a good size with a separate wet and dry area. Ambiance: Clean and tidy, with lively decor. The signature Ibis red makes it feel warm and inviting. Service: The young lady at the front desk had a smile that could melt anyone (and I'm a woman!). She was a major highlight of the hotel – so enthusiastic and empathetic. When she saw my mom and I were sharing a bed, she proactively upgraded us to a twin room, which was also very spacious, and even gave us complimentary egg tarts upon check-in. Her proactive spirit and warm service made our stay truly enjoyable! 😀 Hygiene: The hotel maintained the usual Ibis standard of cleanliness. There was no hair on the room floor, and both the toilet and shower areas were excellent and very spacious.
