There is an instruction to register the phone and wechat, and it is quite severe if it cannot be Chinese because it received the room number and the key number in wechat. I have to ask the guards to ride the elevator in Chinese. After that, you can get on the elevator with the card that was placed in the room, but I didn't have the explanation (probably) so I tried it with my own instinct. It was wonderful, the service was very good. The room was comfortable, I love bathtubs and the room was not very spacious but it had a bathtub and it was perfect. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is not noisy but it is a good tourist area, perfect for walking and not having to take extra transportation.

We ended up giving our host the name 'Fred'... because he is truly a big friendly guy. The place might be a little rustic, but that was a big draw for us. What it lacks in facilities (not that we needed any of them), compared to a bigger hotel it more than makes up for in its intimacy and warmth of service. There is also a small tea/coffee room with the window facing the waterway - nothing fancy, but I happily spent almost an hour in there planning my day, while watching locals and the resident duck go about their day. When it came to advice, Fred was detailed, to the point of recommending us the best places to eat along the way to our destinations, what is there in the area. The room is generally clean, and so is the bed. The bathroom does have a few occasional bugs, but that is simply due to the area you're in. The tv has a good variety of movies, though everything is in Chinese (but they do have old HK comedies...a favourite of mine). The walls may be made of concrete, but noise somehow passes through, and we can hear the occupants next door in lively conversation. But other than that, I had a good night's sleep. You are literally just a few tens of meters from Pingjiang road, but far enough not to get disturbed by the nightly hustle and bustle. It is also walking distance to the Humble Administrators Garden and IM Pei's cool white building of historical Chinese things.

We stayed (2 adults and 2 children 3 and 12 years old) in this wonderful hotel for a couple of nights during CNY. The owner speaks English and was absolutely delightful and very flexible when we had to check in earlier. We loved: - close walking distance to main sites ( Suzhou museum and Humble administrator gardens), a longer walk to tongli bridge and old Suzhou village (2-3 km) - spacious room with details we enjoyed such as wooden bathtub and wall projector; - clean and equipped with washing machine; - cafe on site with proper coffee! - very quiet although on a busy street; - variety of delicious brunch and restaurant places within 4 km radius. To be aware that: - the area and road outside the hotel is under work, surely will look wonderful once completed. Overall: highly recommended for quality/price and convenience to visit Suzhou. We will definitely be back in the future!

Pingjiang Road is the main river, and you can see small bridges and flowing water as soon as you step out; it takes 3 minutes to walk to Pingtan Hall; it is 20 meters to the road, and it is convenient to take a taxi. 2. In the same courtyard of the hotel, there are cafes, tea places, and pottery studios for children to play. 3. The service staff helped me check in early, store my luggage and check out late. Wechat replies to questions very quickly 4. Corner floor-to-ceiling windows are relatively rare and have an exclusive feel. Room for improvement: 1. Facility quality. For all B&Bs at this price, you should be willing to invest in facilities, and the user experience will be much better. For example, the TV cabinet (integrated with the washbasin) is in the condition shown in the picture. The simple style cannot be so simple 😂; The bed sheet has a hole that looks like a cut; 2. No tea bags. Generally, B&Bs will have two tea bags and instant coffee. User expectations have been cultivated, but they are not provided here.
