A rather old hotel, with out of date facilities. Slow elevators and a rather poor quality breakfast, with too many sweet pastries and low quality cheap sausages! The location was good with a rocky private beach on the ocean, and a swimming pool but one can notice the facilities are rather old. Overall a good location for a beach resort but facilities and quality of breakfast need improvements!

Overlooking the Ionian Sea, the Grand Hotel San Pietro is a beautiful hotel with landscaped gardens and excellent amenities. The staff are extremely courteous and helpful and the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Located within a 10-15 minute walk of the shopping and sightseeing area of Taormina, makes this 5 Star hotel an excellent choice. The staff, as mentioned, are very courteous and helpful - and it is quite easy to become friends with them. Infact, Christian and Loretta (who work in the bar area during the evenings) are 2 staff members that I highly commend - not only for their service but for the exceptional time we spent with them. This hotel is highly recommended and I certainly look forward to returning in the not too distant future.

The hotel is located at the very end of the main street. For those taking the bus up the mountain, you'll need to walk about 1.2 kilometers to reach the hotel. Although old, the common areas have been largely renovated and are well-maintained. The high ceilings make for a comfortable and pleasant experience, and the staff are friendly. I even had a room tour of my single room. The hotel's extra services are above four-star standards, including a spa, lunch, bar, and dinner (though I didn't try them). The guest area inside the room looked older, but it was spacious enough. It came with a small terrace with a sea view. The bathroom seemed renovated, and the fixtures were relatively new. The Western breakfast was standard, with smoothies available. (I was confused because it didn't include breakfast when booking, but I was told it was included when I checked in.) The hotel has a small garden with a beautiful pool at the end. By the way, the city tax is a bit steep, at 4 euros per person per night.

The location and the view of the hotel are impeccable and the rooms have unrivaled sea and mountain views. The facilities are actually very good, but the strange bathroom shower head design makes the bath extremely awkward. The hotel is the old grand theatre, and it is the town that continues to go down. The distances are just right. The beach is not good, but the beaches in southern Italy are the same. It is the kind of large-grained sandstone beach, which is very ground. The only thing that I feel dissatisfied is that the Italians are really too playable. The party is still playing music loudly at 12:30 in the evening. It is not a complaint that it is estimated that it will not be closed several times. Parking is also a bit difficult, we all parked in the parking lot lumbi garage about 2 km away, and then take the shuttle bus, convenient.

The location is on the hillside of the ancient city, with the ancient castle in the background. You can see the ancient Greek theater on the top floor, and it is only a 1-minute walk to the central street of the ancient city. The room facilities are modern and generally superior rooms are relatively small and suitable for one person. You can see the sunrise from the balcony room.

When you come to a new place without much research done in advance, you need someone to give you practical and useful information. This is the hotel where staff are so friendly and professional. They gave you the best and most practical advice to visit some of the tourist attractions and restaurants. Appreciate their excellent recommendations. Hotel itself is good with great attention in small details. Free minibar, small snacks, fine quality of toilet amenities. It isn’t a big name but a big surprise to us. Love their staff. All make you feel very welcoming and homey. Stunning sea view and very convenient location. I simply park the car outside the hotel and use their valet parking service at 25 Euro a day. What else can I ask for? Would recommend it to anyone who would like to spend a relaxing holiday in Taormina.

Though the hotel was old and with outdated furnishings, it still had a pleasant charm. Short walk to the main street and close to the cable car and bus station. The view from the room was very beautiful, though it lacked privacy as all the balconies were connected and no walls between. The sound proofing wasn't great as it was easy to hear people next to us. Also, the air conditioner felt like it could only go to 28° and was still very hot at night. Breakfast was nice and service was good, overall. We were sad to hear that the pool wasn't available, but they had arrangements for a beach and shuttle, that was appreciated. I don't think I would book here again though.

The ocean view is really heartfelt. To get to the city center, you have to walk and then take the cable car. Personally think the hotel is fine, but just a little old. The main reason is that the price is not good. Sorry for the price of 2000 nights (late October, out of high season). Lower than expected. Reasonable price 1200.

In total, it was a good stay. The price 1150€ for 2 nights is insane though. I like that the pool is open 24/7 and there is a beautiful restaurant with a view. The property also offered an upgrade, which was nice. The rooms are white and cold, though. Also the rooms should be cleaned while the guests are having the breakfast, so they need to use the updated system for tracking that.

It is a bit expensive to take a taxi from the train station to the mountain for 25 euros. Young people without large luggage can try hiking or taking the bus. The uncle at the front desk is very friendly. The sleeping bag left in the room by my companion was immediately delivered. I stayed for two nights. It is suitable for a daze vacation

We just had the most wonderful stay at La Plage. We arrived and were seen immediately and offered a drink whilst we checked in. We were then given a tour of the hotel and some information on the local area. We were shown to our room which was a sea front bungalow with a hot tub. Just gorgeous! We had the most beautiful view of Isola Bella. The next morning we were awake before the birds for an excursion to Etna (for my birthday), before we left someone appeared at the door with a birthday cake and a candle. A really lovely touch. Upon our return the ladies who cleaned the rooms stopped by whilst I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub to say hello and sang me happy birthday too! The service was impeccable from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are AMAZING and so attentive. The food is delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Thank you everyone in La Plage for making our stay so perfect. We can’t wait to come back

The room was very satisfied. On the 2nd floor, I didn't imagine the music on the roof at night. The highlight was that there was free lemonade at the front desk and you could help call a taxi to the bus terminal (note that when the taxi checkout, make sure that they are the same as said in advance, they may temporarily increase the price). We have been allowed to climb the stairs according to Google Maps navigation. Great experience! Everything was really good. We had a room with terass and a view of the sea. It was stunning. Room was very clean and sheets where changed daily, which was nice when you have two dogs that sneak into bed during the night. Location was great. A short distance walk to the town center with shops and restaurants. The parking service was great. They park the car for you and when you need it they will bring the car in front of the hotel within 15 minutes. It will cost you 20€/ night but it's hassle free. Staff is fantastic. We arrived around 6AM (much earlier than expected), and way too early for the normal check-in time. We were absolutely exhausted after a night of driving and our room wasn't ready. But the staff was kind enough to give us a room to sleep in, and at 11AM we could check-in to our booked room. Free of charge! Breakfast was also great and they do packed breakfast if you leave before breakfast time. The hotel doesn't do laundry, but there is a laundry place 800m away.

We had the luck to see an Ethna eruption in a silent morning... a show of nature that we will never forget. The breakfast is very rich and well-thinked, with various Sicilian specialities, sweet and salty, and the cassette cake we eat on the first day was, without exaggeration, divine. We decided to dine in the hotel restaurant last night and it was an excellent choice: the dishes were very well prepared and harmonised with a light and delicious rosé wine. I think this is the most satisfying hotel I have ever booked! Most of the hotels in Taormina are old and small, but this one is very clean, comfortable and spacious! It is rare to provide good quality slippers and toiletries. The kitchen has a gas stove and a dishwasher. I cooked an unusually rich breakfast. I am really satisfied! The first time I went to Sicily, I blindly chose this hotel on Trip.com . I feel very lucky! The hotel is small in size and the number of rooms is not large. But the victory is beautiful on the hillside and the scenery is beautiful. Rosanna and Krizia helped me a lot before and after check-in and play plan, and Antonio also helped me a lot later on. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a simple kitchen, including a refrigerator and cookware. There is a supermarket nearby (Eurospin) where you can buy food and make it yourself. Very suitable for our family outing. It is worth mentioning that there is an Alcantara Canyon nearby, the knee-deep stream is clear and cold, and the summer is a great retreat. There are also beaches in Taormina, of course. Friendly tip: You need to rent a car. Apple Maps or Google Maps will do.
