Long Island.. The day in the city like the name of a cocktail felt sweet like a cocktail. Of course, thanks to the good service of the hotel ㅇ.

We had reserved three nights (using points and certificates, so reserved each night separately) and upon check-in realized we probably needed to cancel the 3rd night. I asked the clerk for confirmation that we needed to do so by 6PM of the day before. She responded ”No, you must do so 3 days in advance.” I showed her my confirmation email which clearly stated that cancellation is required by 6 PM of the day before. She simply kept repeating that at this hotel, the policy is 3 days in advance. Her unpleasant attitude and incorrect information (contradicting the written contract with our reservation) put a pallor on what was otherwise a decent stay. Since we are platinum members, we did receive an upgrade to a ”suite” which is a larger room with a sofa area. The room was nice enough except it faced the highway so there was some noise, which didn't bother me since I always wear earplugs.

This was a great choice for our trip to both the North and South Forks of Long Island. The facility is adjacent to the popular Tangier Outlets and that could be another reason to stay here. The room was well appointed although we were surprised that the only television was in the bedroom area and we had two containers of shampoo and no body wash in the shower. The free hot breakfast was excellent and the staff working in that area were especially friendly and helpful. A suggestion - put a larger sign at the entrance as it was difficult to see the current small one and it was confusing since the Hilton hotel was clearly identified in that area.

On a positive note the location was great, the usually amenities such as breakfast, indoor pool and gym, nice public spaces we’re all up to par. This is the reason I like staying at Hyatt place. Unfortunately, this location had some issues. First, our bathroom was not clean, Urine on the side of the toilet from a previous guest. Second, the parking situation is not great, there is very limited parking in the front so you had to either park behind the building or across the street. Neither lot had defined parking places and the lots were not suitable for roller board luggage. Thirdly, the hotel is adjacent to a catering hall. We were staying in room 418. If you are staying on that side of the hotel, dont expect to sleep before 12p. The walls are so thin you would hear the music and DJ from the weddings next door very clearly. When event is over tou get the pleasure of hearing the drunk guests screaming up and down the hallways returning from their night out. I would suggest if you are staying on a weekend to look elsewhere unless you are attending the party next door.

The surroundings are desolate and there is no public transportation. It is hard to find a place to eat. At the front desk, there was a fat woman wearing glasses who was very arrogant. She stayed for two days and brushed me twice for pre-authorization. The pre-authorization was not returned after 4 days of departure!
