The hotel's location is excellent, right near Venice Santa Lucia train station, making transportation very convenient. There are also many restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself has a very Venetian character, and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. If you can get a room overlooking the Grand Canal, the view would be stunning. The breakfast is also quite good, with a decent variety of choices, and dining by the canal is a great experience. However, there were a few drawbacks during this stay. Our room was quite small, and for two people, the space felt cramped. There was hardly any extra room to sit and relax, and opening two suitcases at once made it feel very crowded. The bathroom was also not very spacious. Overall, the hotel's biggest advantages are its location and ambiance. If you prioritize convenient transportation, Venetian charm, and canal views, this hotel is definitely worth considering. But if you have high expectations for room size and living space, I recommend booking a larger room type.

Hotel just opposite the train station which very convenient. If you have big luggage, alternative I advise u to store at the train station. At the train station, there is porter to help carry your luggage for 5/luggage to your hotel so you don’t need to drag over the bridges. And from hotel to train station, porter usually charge 10euro.

Great! They upgraded us to a larger room. The breakfast was good too. This hotel has a fantastic location, right opposite Santa Lucia train station. It only takes about six minutes to walk across the bridge with your luggage. Plus, if you're planning to explore by boat, you can buy tickets right across the street at the ticket office. We bought a one-day pass and even managed a trip to Murano (the glass island).

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, right on a high-end shopping street, making it incredibly convenient for exploring on foot. The service is also impeccable; the personalized butler service is excellent, with staff escorting you to your room and handling your luggage. The rooms are generously sized, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The hotel itself is a beautifully renovated mansion. Its grand staircase offers wonderful photo opportunities, and from the rooftop, you can enjoy the refreshing Adriatic breeze while watching a stunning Venetian sunset. A crucial tip for arrival: absolutely do not follow Google Maps! Do not disembark the water bus too early. Instead, take it all the way to 'G-station' (you might need to check previous reviews for the exact name). From there, the hotel is just a very short walk away.

Here's why I recommend this hotel: 1. **Amazing Breakfast**: The hotel breakfast was incredibly diverse, the best I've had in all of Italy. I was so excited and happy to see canned yellow peaches! Studying in London and having traveled to France, Spain, and Italy, I've never encountered canned yellow peaches at breakfast before – I absolutely loved it! 💕 2. **Great Location**: Staying at the Plaza was super convenient. It's right opposite the train station, making trips to Venice incredibly quick and easy! 3. **Modern and Spacious Rooms**: The rooms are very new and generously sized. 4. **Helpful Luggage Storage Staff**: The staff at the luggage storage area were very dedicated and responsible. 5. **Friendly Front Desk**: The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. 6. **Chinese Food Galore**: Within a 10-minute walk, there are several Chinese restaurants! Who doesn't love satisfying their 'Chinese stomach' while traveling abroad? For all these reasons, I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you're visiting Venice.

Love the place. They have very accomodating and friendly staff who go the extra mile to help their guests. Told the staff that if I will stay there again next time. Right in front of the train station (although need to walk about 10mins round the old buildings and cross a bridge to the train station). Free tour to Murano to see glass blowing at a factory. Breakfast was very good.  Checking out was smooth. And able to get a porter to help transport the luggages over the bridges to the train station was fantastic!!

The hotel is located about 15-20 minutes' walk from surrounding attractions and about 28 minutes' walk from the lonely San Lucia train station. However, it is not recommended for travelers with suitcases to walk, although the original picture has a good view. You can go out from the train station and take the bus line 5.2. I may not have bought the ticket properly, but it cost 9 euros to get from the hotel to the train station. The hotel is not very close or far from the shopping street. However, the walking navigation signal is easy to drift. After walking into many narrow alleys, you have to find a way out. The hotel room is small and the bathroom is large. The hotel does not provide toothbrushes. When I contacted the front desk, they said that the toothbrush was gone, which was very frustrating. The hotel is near the seaside. You can go there for a walk and have a cup of coffee in the morning. It's not bad either. The hotel recommended two restaurants: OGINA and which one is 50 meters straight on the right side of the hotel. OGINA Forget it, it's not that good. The other seafood restaurant was okay and the service was good. I ate there all day, but I had diarrhea the next morning. Maybe it was because I was lactose intolerant myself and ate a lot of cheese. The breakfast in the hotel is very basic. It costs 25 euros and 5 euros plus tax. I am not happy with the 29 euros. Overall, I spent 2,000 a night and enjoyed 3 stars in a first-tier domestic city. One advantage of the hotel is that the hassle of taxis is free. z z z

This hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station, next to a Venice canal. Location is convenient but you need to cross a few bridges from the train station to the hotel so moving heavy luggages require a bit effort. The decoration of the hotel is classic and tasteful. The lobby is like an art studio. Best part is the excellent service. Hotel staff are courteous and always ready to help. After we checked out, we stored luggages at the hotel and went for sightseeing. Coming back to the hotel to retrieve the luggages,vwe rested at the lobby. The service staffer offered us free tea, which exceeded our expectation. Pretty much all other hotels charge fees for drinks. This hotel not only offered free drink but also offered it after our checking out. It's fully recommended.

This stay had a mix of positives and negatives. We were not placed at San Cassiano as expected but were instead transferred to another hotel in their chain, Palazzo Stern. The alternate hotel wasn’t bad—it's located along the Grand Canal and has a lovely terrace. The property itself boasts some impressive design elements, likely stemming from its past as an antique mansion turned hotel. We were given a loft room, which unfortunately didn’t have any windows with a view, and the space was a bit cramped for two large suitcases. On the plus side, the bathroom had a beautiful design. Breakfast was ok, though nothing to rave about. The hotel is a bit of a walk from most attractions unless you opt for a water taxi, with a water taxi stop conveniently located right outside the hotel.

The location is incredibly convenient—it’s just a short walk from the train station, which means you don't have to drag your luggage across the bridge to get there. It’s also very close to the water bus stop, making it easy to explore the rest of the city. The staff really stood out to us; they offered us a complimentary drink at the bar upon arrival and even helped carry our luggage up to the room. Booking a superior room often results in being assigned an accessible room or a subpar one on the ground floor, and even if you're unhappy with your room, they refuse to allow a change.

And inexpensive city tax. No elevator, but this is a small hotel in an old house. I liked the color. Antique furniture, Venetian chandelier. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is quiet. There were not many guests. Wi-Fi is fast. I was a little disappointed with the warm water, it was not hot. Otherwise, everything is great.

The staff at Dona Palace were so friendly and helpful. The garden area for drinks is a real bonus, has it's own boat docking pier which means you can easily see all the gondolas going by. The room was lovely too, with plenty of room and we had a lovely view over the garden area. Breakfast was fabulous, a good range of continental style options plus hot options as well, the staff covering breakfast were also lovely and friendly. Very quiet, couldn't hear other guests moving around at all. Very close to San Marco Piazza and plenty of shops and restaurants close by and within easy walking distance. A wonderful 3 night stay, would definitely stay there again.

Location: Super close to the train station and the Vaporetto stop, which is great because getting around Venice's main island means either walking or taking a boat. The island is pretty big, but you can see most of it in a day if you're not planning on visiting every single museum. Facilities: The hotel's entrance is tiny, easy to miss! The worst part, though, are the stairs. Besides the ones at the entrance, there are so many steps going up and down throughout the hallways inside the hotel. It's really inconvenient if you have luggage. Service: No one was available to help with luggage, which was a real pain, especially since I had a lot. The front desk service, however, was quite professional, and the staff spoke good English – plus, they were very handsome! Cleanliness: The hotel is a bit old. Our room window faced an alley with trash cans, so we had to keep it closed.

The bus driver who picked us up in the evening was incredibly rude; I wouldn't even give him one star for service. We'd pre-booked the shuttle service and had already been charged online, with the order showing as confirmed. However, for some reason, we couldn't access the bus ticket page – it kept showing an error. Perhaps it was because we were using a German SIM card, or maybe there was an issue with the hotel's website (we tried again after leaving the hotel the next day, and it worked fine). But at the time, the bus driver was really difficult, you know? We tried repeatedly to explain and show him the order confirmation page, but he just said it wasn't his fault, that he didn't care about our reasons, and he only looked at the ticket page. His impatient tone and glare would have made anyone lose their cool. So, my husband got into an argument with him. I tried to de-escalate, telling him I understood it was his job and not his fault, but before I could finish, he pointed his finger at my nose, stared me down, and loudly declared, 'Yes, madam, it's all your fault!' Then he got back into the driver's seat and started muttering to himself in Italian, but in a way that sounded insulting. At that point, I lost it too. We flew all the way to Milan and took a train to Venice specifically not to deal with such attitudes. Can't there be special treatment for special circumstances? I believe such people are rare, but this one incident definitely ruined our vacation to some extent. The bus driver who dropped us off in the morning was excellent. Faced with the same issue, he let us on the bus and even said that these things sometimes happen, proving how different people can be. Now, about the hotel: it's about a 20-minute walk from the train station, so it would be more suitable if you're driving. The internal facilities are decent; the well-equipped kitchen was my favorite part. However, one toilet wouldn't flush, the shower temperature fluctuated between hot and cold, and the soundproofing was poor, likely due to it being a wooden building. The hotel has a pool, an internal shop, and a restaurant. The surroundings are quite isolated, with nothing to do nearby besides farmland and residential areas. The front desk staff provided excellent service.

Well located hotel, with easy (vaporetto and by foot) connections to all parts of Venice. Breakfast was included and was good. There is a supermarket a couple of mins away. For those with mobility issues but does not use a wheelchair, please check what the hotel has in place to support you when the lift does not work. We chose this hotel as it has lift access to all floors. On the day we were checking out, the power was shut off for works (by the local govt and not the hotel). This resulted in the lifts being inaccessible, making it impossible for one person in our party to access the room. While the hotel was helpful in bringing luggage downstairs, it was concerning that they had no solution to help someone unable to take the stairs. We were fortunate that we had a solution that did not require help from hotel staff, but I am not clear on how someone with mobility issues and stuck on the upper floors would be able to move.

Before my stay, I saw mixed reviews online, but after experiencing it myself, I found it to be pretty good. The front desk staff were very friendly and patient. **Transportation:** There's a bus stop very close to the right of the hotel entrance. Using Google Maps, it's quite convenient to get to the train station or Venice's main island. Just make sure you're heading in the right direction before boarding. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the main island, but you need to factor in waiting time for the bus. I bought several tickets at an automatic machine at the train station, each costing 1.5 Euros. Remember to validate your ticket when you get on the bus. **Surroundings:** If you walk ten minutes to the right of the hotel entrance, there's a huge shopping mall where you can find food, entertainment, clothes, and souvenirs. **Airport:** Taking the bus isn't very convenient; from the last stop, you'd have to walk nearly 2km. So, I decided to ask the hotel to call a taxi for me. It took 20 minutes to get to Marco Polo Airport and cost 40 Euros.

Overall, the hotel was a 3.5/5. It's in a great location and a very beautiful hotel. We often sat on the veranda bar and looked out at the gondolas. The staff was very friendly, everyone was responsive, and tried to resolve our issues. However, during our stay, the hotel restaurant was closed for breakfast due to technical issues, so we were referred to other hotels in the chain. We weren't notified by email. Consequently, breakfast was overcrowded. We expressed our disappointment to the staff, and they resolved the issue as best they could. We were also assigned a room near the utility room, so we were woken up by the noise every morning. However, we didn't raise this issue; perhaps they could have moved us. These downsides don't outweigh the wonderful location and view from the veranda.

What a gem this place is! Very close to Rialto bridge water bus stop from the airport, and very close to St Marks Basilica and Square. Rooms are amazingly well presented, very spacious and very clean. There’s also a rooftop area which has amazing views and great space to hang out. The only downside is they provide one bottle of water for two people in the room, charge of €6 for an extra bottle, which for a 4* hotel, is frankly a joke in my opinion. Not even complimentary snack for the price we paid for the room. Price-wise,it’s on the 4* range mark, thus the complain about the water and lack of complementaries. Otherwise, staff are nice. Easy check in, and also have a luggage storage which meant we can have a lovely day without our bags. I’d stay here again though, I’ll just bring my own water bottle. Lol

The location and staff was nice. However the posted photos show fake wooden floors. In reality our room (and it seems like most rooms) had extremely old carpets. I personally am grossed out and get allergies from poorly cleaned carpets. It's an old and charming hotel, but they shouldn't lie by advertising modified photos... the giant ugly TV in the middle of the room killed the charm for us anyways. For the price I was let down. It would have been better to stay in an Airbnb... the AC didn't work great and they provided just one small bottle of water even though we were 2 people. We tried a couple times to get water from the lobby but the bottles in the complimentary drink area were usually empty. I feel bad to leave this review, but I really don't get how the ratings are so high.

The location is superb, making it ideal for anyone attending the Biennale. The staff provided excellent service. I arrived at 11:00 AM, and although the room wasn't ready yet, I was able to store my luggage. A friendly gentleman at the front desk even filled my water bottle with sparkling water, and an older manager pulled out a paper map of Venice to personally show me the must-see attractions. The room was comfortable and quiet, and right outside the door was the open sea. In the morning, after breakfast, I could step right out and enjoy a peaceful, private stretch of the sea.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Salute Station is definitely the first choice when entering Venice. It can be quiet and quiet. The hotel is next to the Dormition Church. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the staff, who were extremely polite and attentive. Unfortunately, the Valentine’s Day dinner was a major disappointment. Despite having great potential to be a special night, it lacked planning and romance. There was no themed decoration, and the music selection was completely off, with Latin music playing instead of a romantic Italian soundtrack. The only saving grace of the evening was the menu—the food was simply delicious, and I am immensely grateful to the chef for that. Without his exceptional cuisine, the night would have been completely ruined. Another frustrating detail was the absence of live music, despite the presence of a piano in the hotel. Throughout the entire weekend, there was no performance, which was a shame, as small details like this could have made a big difference in the atmosphere. Overall, the hotel has its qualities, but the service feels more like a 4-star standard rather than a true 5-star experience.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. When you arrive you are getting such a warmly welcome. The room was really nice - especially that Venice oriental style. Just the bath, as some already mentioned, does not fit to the room. It is clean and is equipped with everything what you need/expect. Just different from the style. And one more little highlight are the big air con devices in front of the window which a super loud. The rest was really perfect. Breakfast buffet included everything what you need. Just only the powder coffee you can get for the price - rest you need to order separately which is different to other 5 stars Hotel where I have been before. At least one „good“ coffee should be included in the high price. Overall really a nice stay with a SUPER friendly helpful staff. And the location is really perfect as you are close to the top sightseeing locations.

Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel and the island are absolutely beautiful — a real gem. However, there’s a big but: catastrophic lack of staff. The service level is very weak. You can see the staff are trying their best, but there are simply not enough people. In the morning, all hands are on deck for breakfast. The reception and concierge desks are empty — when we asked where everyone was, we were told: ”Sorry, they're all serving breakfast.” Breakfast itself was a struggle: huge queues for coffee, and tables were left uncleaned. That said, this is the only downside of this beautiful place. Everything else we really enjoyed. Tip for future guests: Don't be afraid to book a room in the separate building overlooking the lagoon. Yes, it's a long walk, but the view from the room is absolutely worth it.

It feels like a 5-star hostel! There's a reliable security guard standing in front of the building to look out for tourists, all the staff are friendly, and above all, the facilities feel exceptionally clean. The interior design is great too. Best of all, the location is insanely good! Being close to Mestre makes it easy to find great food and soak in the local vibe, and it's just a 5-minute walk to the station, which is just awesome. If you don't have towels, you can rent them at the reception for a fee. Ciao!

My stay was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located, and the overall environment is clean and comfortable. Although the twin room wasn't exceptionally spacious, it was well-equipped, and the natural light and soundproofing were both good. Great for self-driving, and you can buy Venice passes directly at the hotel. There's a bus stop nearby, just remember to wave when the bus approaches. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly. The hotel also provided two complimentary bottles of water.

The hotel is near the train station, with many dining options around. The 'Mo Yu Mian' noodle place downstairs is delicious – it's actually next door to the hotel, not part of it. This is a modern-style hotel. The photos I've shared aren't of the hotel's dining, but rather of a fantastic restaurant right next to the hotel. Their food is great and affordable. I think the hotel's price is justified because you can easily find a wonderful restaurant for dinner just by stepping downstairs in the evening. I think that's a real plus.

We had a great stay at the BW Premier Collection CHC Continental Venice. The location is incredibly convenient—it’s just a short walk from the train station, which means you don't have to drag your luggage across the bridge to get there. It’s also very close to the water bus stop, making it easy to explore the rest of the city. The staff really stood out to us; they offered us a complimentary drink at the bar upon arrival and even helped carry our luggage up to the room. Breakfast was lovely with a nice selection, and we especially enjoyed sitting near the canal while we ate. Highly recommend for the value and service.

The facilities of the hostel were great, especially the lounging area was comfortable enough to sit and wait if one had been early for the check-in time. However, when we checked into our room long after the official check-in time, the beddings of a bunk bed were not made. In fact, cover sheets and blankets of those beds were just laid there all messy and one even had holes in it (shown in the pictures provided below). That was not the only inconvenience, however. A fire alarm in the hostel had been activated at 3 am of August 11th randomly, which rang for at least two hours, but management and staff were not as competent when handling an emergency situation like that in my opinion. Guests of the hostel had to be waken up with a banging noise of alarm in the midst of their sleep and evacuated outside to stand still for 2 full hours with no explanation or compromisation. It has to be considered that all kinds of people are being hosted in this hostel, such as the elderly, the children, and also disabled people who cannot be put under that kind of stress and also deprivation of sleep. If compromisation of a late check-out was made with customers, it would at least compensate for the inconvenience it brought to people.
