Fantastic location. Sauna is available to book for free for private use. The best thing was the massage - it was really good. The only issue was the air condition which was changed to heating during the time we visited (summer transitioning to autumn) so it was a little warm at night. Unless you took the garden facing room, the road/ trams noises will be uncomfortable to leave the windows open through the night. Having said, the staff service were good.

One Rude Staff Member Ruined an Otherwise Decent Stay I stayed at Esplanade Zagreb Hotel with high expectations given its historic prestige, but one employee’s unprofessional behavior significantly tarnished my experience. Upon arrival, I mistakenly entered the hotel’s parking area as the parking gate opened. After realizing the error, I proceeded to the lobby, completed check-in, and moved my car to the designated drop-off zone for valet service. At this point, a parking attendant aggressively confronted me—hands on hips, speaking in a condescending tone, and demanding how I’d accessed the area. His demeanor was more suited to scolding a trespasser than addressing a paying guest. To be fair, the front desk and concierge staff were perfectly polite and efficient. Had I not encountered this particular employee, my overall impression would have been positive. But for a hotel branding itself as a luxury establishment, even one hostile interaction is unacceptable. A guest’s entire perception can be undone by a single moment of poor service. The incident casts doubt on the hotel’s training standards. Why does such a disparity in staff attitudes exist? I hope management addresses this, as no amount of century-old tradition excuses rudeness. Until then, I’d hesitate to return or recommend Esplanade Zagreb without caution.

I recently stayed at the Sheraton in Zagreb and found the experience to be quite average. While the staff were friendly, the accommodations were disappointing, especially for a hotel rated 5 stars—it had more of a 3-star look and feel. The lack of windows made the rooms feel stuffy, and the carpet was noticeably dirty. The bathroom was small, the TV was outdated and small, and not all channels worked. The rooms overall felt old and in need of renovation, which was a stark contrast to the beautifully renovated front desk area downstairs. The bright, modern lobby clashed with the dark, outdated corridors and old rooms, leaving much to be desired. I had hoped for better given the brand's reputation. While the service was good, the overall accommodations did not live up to the rating or expectations.

Really enjoyed my stay at The Westin Zagreb. The room was comfy and had everything I needed, plus a nice view of the city. Staff were super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was tasty with lots of options. The location’s great – easy walk to the main sights. Would definitely stay here again!

This grand lady is a little tired but her location and service is always outstanding. Excellent location and close to public transport. Buffet breakfast is full of variety and caters for all needs. The only thing I can suggest is softer toilet paper and why is the bathroom so dark?

Hilton is a famous hotel but i met the poor services : 1-I book 3 days hotel on Aug 9-12,2025. But i cancel booking on aug 6-9,2025 due to paper error and your sides has already cancelled on mid May.However, if you have any queries, you can discuss with me on the first day.But the hotel staff find me in the evening on the third day . How can i enough time to find and solve it. It maybe definitely effected my trip at that time. 2-No cleaning lady come to my room cleaning and tidy up at the second and third day. 3-I borrowed the computer adapter from the male reception staff in the evening but he said no. However, i can borrow from the female supervisor on next day. Why??? This is my unhappy trip

The hotel is very close to the city center. It is an old hotel. It feels like traveling back in time. The aunt at the front desk explained in detail. The hotel also has free parking. This hotel is very old-fashioned and has a warm feeling. The hotel breakfast service staff are all tall and handsome. I like the hotel's decoration style very much and will stay here again in the future.

Cosy, boutique -style hotel decorated with whimsical touches. Friendly staff, free and fast Wi-Fi, good water pressure and a small basement gym. Limited, though adequate breakfast buffet selection. My room's mattress showed its age as it was sagging to one side. Staff were prompt in retrieving lost property and posting to my next destination. As Zagreb is a compact city, the hotel is within easy walking distance to all major attractions, with convenience stores at the doorstep and the central train station 2 blocks away.

The hotel is located in a quiet little neighborhood next to the major bus station. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, they even gave me an extra sleeping pillow upon request. The room is big, enough for two people's luggage. The facilities are similar to the domestic all-seasons, but the shower water is too small. There are slippers in the room, but no kettle and paper towels. The surrounding environment is very good. Turn left and you will see a restaurant street. It takes 7 minutes to walk to the city center. It is very close to the attractions. Turn right and you will see a large supermarket and DM. It is the best choice for a business trip hotel

The room was ready by 11:00am so I could check in early and leave my luggage. I have a safety concern and it is that the code to access the main door is the same one to your room door, so unless everyone has a different code for both the main door and their room door (which is the same), any of the other residents can basically access your room since everyone shares the same code. The location is very good, very close to the main attractions. At times, there was a strange noise coming from the patio. Overall, decent experience.

Upper Town – Medvescak Zagreb|1.21km from city center
The hotel is superb, on the top of the city center, surrounded by the embassy area. Walk along the woods down the mountain for ten minutes to the pedestrian street. It is best to take a taxi back, but be careful to be slaughtered. Taxi drivers in various cities in Croatia will work together, and I will get 59 for three kilometers. I was entangled and didn't want this kind of ethos to be nurtured. I ran to ask the hotel lady. The lady was very cute and rushed out to the theory. The driver also threatened me and Miss Sister to call the police. I said okay. The police speed was very fast, more than ten minutes, and I coordinated for a long time. I said that I understand that the luxury model you drove has a weekend price increase. 20 is the highest, otherwise it is exempt from discussion. Finally, the driver dropped from 50 to 46 and solved it at the last 20 of 30. I left the hotel the next day and left a thank you note for the hotel lady, leaving the money saved the day before as a tip to her, I hope she can see this comment. Although I encountered bad things, but most people are very cute. Money is not a problem, I think I should choose to do the right thing!

Lower Town Zagreb|0.38km from city center
What began as a suspiciously underpriced, gorgeously designed, epicentrically located property with heart and smiles for days...turned into a psychotic, abusive nightmare, like something straight out of Rosemary’s Baby. Never in all my days, in all the hundreds of properties and thousands of nights in everything from backpacker hostels to five-star suites, have I been subjected not simply to bad service (fixable) but outright and unrepentant hostility, harassment and torment by the staff. Unbelievable. As the gentleman and professional many know me to be, I in good faith detailed the infractions, called for a GM meeting, recommended simple solutions, had multiple follow-up meetings, and presumed the offending micro-tyrants would be disciplined and neutralized. They weren’t. It only got worse. And worse still. Think, stalking, door slamming, man-handling my iPad (verboten), shorting guest change when paying by cash in the bar (witnessed multiple times), having aggressive security called for eating in an otherwise public area five minutes beyond a theretofore unknown “rule,” asking me repeated and pointedly “how long I would be staying...” you get the idea. So, in the end, I cancelled two weeks of reservations (which would have been expanded to 6+) and protested with my feet. I left. A day out and I STILL feel emotionally winded, unsure of what I just witnessed. All I know is that if my behavior to a client or guest even approached this, I’d be – and should be – terminated on the spot. This was not the decision of management. But maybe it’s me. Maybe this is Croatia’s version of adventure travel. Not enough to make me fall out of love with Zagreb...but close. Interesting world.

Good location, right on the side of the square! No breakfast, no kitchen, no toiletries, no slippers, no parking, it took a long time to find the hotel by car! The nearest paid parking lot is 10 minutes walk and 10 euros a night! The facilities are more general, the water heater can only be rushed by two people, and the third person has to wait for a long time! very inconvenient! Ctrip's service is too bad, communication is not timely, and understanding ability is seriously problematic! Never go abroad to book a hotel on Ctrip!

Excellent savory breakfast, with cooked and raw vegetables, eggs, meat, cured meats, cheeses, etc. The sweet part is a little lacking. Free private parking. Large room. In the central square of Zagreb, the location is excellent, the room is small but breakfast is included, the restaurant has snacks and drinks coffee 24 hours a day, the biggest advantage is that you can store your luggage and use the restaurant after check-out. Because Zagreb all check in after 3 pm and check out before 10 am. The only downside is that it is the city center, Zagreb is still full of people at 3 in the middle of the night, and the hotel has prepared earplugs for guests.

From Zagreb station, take the tram 2 or 6 and the stop is not painful if you get off at the Zagreb bus station. This is good if you want to take advantage of the Zagreb bus station. There is no breakfast (you can procure it because there is a 24-hour bakery at the bus station), but you can substitute it because there is a kettle and a pack of tea and coffee and sticks. Instant soup and cup noodles are also good at the supermarket. Wi-Fi is strong and stress-free. There is air conditioning so you can deal with the heat of summer or off-season. The facilities are brand new so you can spend very cozy.

The location of the hotel is very good. It takes a long time to reach the scenic spots. The entrance is also a parking place. The decoration of the hotel is modern, very good, very large and very tall. But we looked for it according to the order address and was told that it was in a house facing the street, and then the luggage moved downstairs, but the landlord said that she contacted the agent but there was no reply and no contact information for us. In addition, we encountered a thief on the way to the house facing the street. Fortunately, 4 of us found out. The thief went away. It was 3 women. must be careful

First things I like to express my appreciation to Toni at front desk who's very friendly welcoming my first day check in and helping me when I have problem with rental car. He really put his effort making so many calls when the rental car didn't response well, but finally all problem solved. And he sent his regard throe his friend at front desk on my second check in after 7 days traveling to Split and Dubrovnik, his name also Tony and he also very friendly. Thanks to both of you Toni & Tony ( I hope I didn't wrong spelling your name ) It's highly recommend for all type of traveler, the room is very quite, I can't hear anything from next room or outside, sleep like a baby. I love the spacious shower room and all luxury amenities. If not mistaken I think this is a brand new hotel. Since i drive a car, for me location is not important, 8 minutes drive to the old town, not too far. I like the neighborhood is so quite. Breakfast has many menus and tasty too. Overall is perfect , one thing I don't like is the dimming lights. If they have a brighter light, I will be so happy. The W By LJ is my youtube channel if you like to see my review video
