AP Adriana Beach Resort

My family and I arrived 2wnd October, and this is our 5th time here. We are staying in room Z203 and Z202 which are other end of main reception by The Grill Restaurant. Rooms are nice and clean with plenty of space. This is classed as a basic room which we have stayed in before and also stayed in superior which are more central but its literally a 5 minute walk from reception. Our friends arrived a couple of days later and stayed in AA block, not sure why some comments are complaining about it being so far away from the reception area. It's not. I thought I would take a walk to my friends room and I would say it takes the same time to get from reception to my room. It is 5 minutes and again the room was great, I would stay there. Great food choices and plenty of snacks to choose from. We are leaving this morning but again another fabulous week here. As its our 5th time we will probably try different places in the future but sure will will be back at some point as is a wonderful resort. My friends loved it and we all said how well the design of the hotel is with so many places to sit even if it's raining. Thank you Adriana.

First time in Portugal and so glad we chose this resort, absolutely fantastic place to visit, all the bar and entertainment staff are so helpful and lovely, mus from the entertainment side made our time extra fun and Clara from the bar was just the sweetest person ever, will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing 10 days x

We came as a group of friends and there were positives and negatives Negatives- Never really enough staff on at the bar and many people ordering cocktails or ordering double drinks so not having to wait as long If they had a beer pump / soft drinks to help yourself would alleviate the problem. Hotel is a 30 minute taxi ride away to Albufeira or Vilamoura and it is in the middle of nowhere so no shops or anything, we were constantly using Ubers so an hour round trip most days and €30 each time wasn’t ideal Annex rooms very small, balcony tiny and shady so couldn’t sit out on it , also no coffee making facilities which is not great when breakfast isn’t until 7.30am so if you are an early riser you just have to wait Poolside toilets downstairs down a dingy old tunnel and always seemed to have a bad smell , spa down there also and very un inviting so didn’t bother with it Food lukewarm most of the time especially at breakfast so tried to get everything from the bottom in the hope it would be slightly warmer, also no condiments on the table so you would sit down then have to get back up to get salt or pepper No toilet facilities on the beach They put sunloungers down there so if you needed to go you would have to go up the 90 odd steps to relieve yourself and you would be in serious trouble with an upset stomach Would be nice to have a small bar down there too Positives - Pool although cold was large and plenty of room to have a swim Salad selection was very good and tasty Staff were very friendly and happy Sunloungers - plenty of them so always had one for everyone although not that comfy

Been to this hotel twice now and will defantly be returning its really clean & well kept honestly cant fault it loved our stay just one thing please stop smoking around the pool a smoking area would be good not nice when you sunbathing & are behind someone smoking there are children around as well so not good other than thst love it here .

We stayed here for 7 nights in one of the large standard twin rooms. The room was HUGE and the decor was modern and nicely done. Check in was an absolute breeze with a porter transporting us to our room with our suitcases on a buggy. This was our first trip away with our little 2 year old boy and he loved it and all of the staff were lovely with him particularly the staff in the restaurants and by the small pool. Our room was located so when we walked out we could access the small pool which although cold was a great size and was quiet throughout our stay. The beach was less than 5 mins walk away and was absolutely stunning. The food in both restaurants was fantastic and there was always something on offer throughout the day. There were times when the food was a bit cold but for the quantities that the staff have to cook I think that has to be expected. The bar by the small pool at times was a bit busy and could have perhaps done with 2 members of staff working there but was only ever a couple of minutes wait. Loads of sun loungers scattered around the grounds which are just stunning and a massive selling point. The new splash park was a real bonus and our little boy loved this. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyway and we look forward to booking again in the near future.

Second Visit We stayed here in September 2021 and it’s good to see some improvements new sun-beds around but these are not comfortable. New chairs and tables in the outdoor entertainment area. The staff are hard working friendly & helpful big thanks to Lisa & Joao Lovely well kept grounds. There are Bali beds available at €10 per day however every day I saw people on the beds who clearly had not paid as there were no pillows. The pool attendant did not seem to care, so save your money. However although the pool toilets are now open they are in a terrible state. Entertainment was Pretty good of an evening. It gets chilly of an evening so take a warm jacket and jeans or trousers. Room The room is clean and the beds comfortable. There is a free safe for your valuables. Plenty of hanger & enough wardrobe space. Good lighting options. Bathroom was small but adequate. Small balcony with 2 chairs & a table. Would it really be so difficult to have a kettle cups etc in the rooms if requested? The animation team do a good job but we’re not as good as last time we stayed during the day. The beach is lovely especially at sunset it’s a bit of a walk with 94 steps down. Negative points The music around the pool during the day is loud. The food is not hot a lot of the time this needs improvement. Looks like things are cooked on mass and thrown into containers to keep warm. This is unavoidable to a certain degree but food needs to be kept hotter in my opinion this is especially noticeable at breakfast. This really lets the place down in my opinion. The paved areas and pathways need some attention as there are trip hazards, a simple maintenance issue. The hotel guests would benefit from a designated quiet area outside away from the main pool to allow guests to relax and read in the sun. There is a quieter pool and bar at the other end of the complex nice place to have lunch at Grill. It got really busy towards the end of the week as a big contingent of French people arrived. Meal times then turned into organised chaos with ill manners on show. This is a big hotel that can accommodate 1500 guests. The best advice is if you want a quieter holiday spend most of your time at the smaller pool. The big question is would I recommend this hotel if you want noise, fun and sun yes. If you want peace and quiet no. We will not be making a third visit.
