Not quite sure why there are so many negative reviews calling this place unacceptable, for the price you pay you’re definitely getting your moneys worth and some. The male young receptionist was friendly at check in and guided us to our room (although he didn’t know some answers about basic questions about the area, such as he incorrectly told us the wrong time for the last trams, he was very kind but maybe the staff could be told some answers to the most common questions). The junior suite was extremely spacious, had a lovely bathroom, lots of mirrors which was nice, large bed and lots of light windows overlooking the dock. The room was fab, however like some other reviews state sometimes there was a mysterious odour, particularly on the last day, but it wasn’t unbearable. Could definitely do with some harder mattresses which would definitely improve everyone’s experience but I still slept perfectly. Location is perfect for the price, only a 14min tram away from Amsterdam Centraal. The coffee pods and machine in the room were nice but could also put some biscuits there too which would be amazing. Maybe needs a repaint of the room but it’s safe to say i’d definitely stay again

I travel for work and frequent hotels on a weekly basis for the last 16 years, usually Hampton inns or holiday inns. I have never had a breakfast remotely as good as what this hotel serves! There was such a variety of different foods, and we would get a great start to our day with a full belly! Was nice as we could skip lunch as prices were so high at the restaurants. Room was nice and otherwise typical of a Hampton Inn.

This apartment has too many faults and lacks to be a place to recommend, especially at more than 200€ per night. The remarkably comfortable bedding, the very practical washer-dryer and the presence of (free) parking under the hotel do not offset all of the following: “Entrance”: no carpet to put down soaked shoes and dripping coats Living room: nothing that can be used as an office or, at least, to put your computer / no furniture under the TV to store guides, books Bedroom: the only storage space is a wardrobe, half of which is occupied by the ironing board and the iron; only 2 very high shelves. ”Dressing room”: an EMPTY room: NO STORAGE; 0 DRAWERS, 0 SHELVES!! INADMISSIBLE for an apartment costing more than 200€ per night and able to accommodate 4 people. We were 2 for 6 nights and had to leave most of our clothes in the suitcases. Following our complaint, a rack was provided to us but it offered much less storage capacity than what we find, for example, in an Ibis… Kitchen area: inverted mounting of cupboard doors; dangerous and unpleasant to use / hot tap water; dangerous for us but even more so for children / the bulb above the sink is out of order Shower room: NO RADIATOR, NO HEATING. It is therefore the coldest part of the apartment; not pleasant at all. Personally, I had never seen this / no shower gel in the bottle provided for this purpose in the shower WC: no hook to hang the towel which cannot dry / Bring your own toilet paper because, if you use more than what is available to you (2 rolls for 6 nights), the reception informs you that you will have to go buy what you need. At more than 200€ (x 6) the room, it leaves you dreaming. Finally, she had the generosity to offer us a roll.

The hotel inspite of being rated 4 stars does not have a phone in the room , no gym , no room service , no coffee or tea in the room. But if what you look for in a hotel is only a bed to sleep in then this hotel offers a very spacious , comfortable and modern room.Since the hotel opened it's doors in 2019 is relatively a new hotel. It may not be centrally located but is well connected via public transport with the rest of Amsterdam, It's location in itself is also an attraction as is relatively a quiet residential area but still being in the docks area of Amsterdam it offers plenty of canals to discovered , less crowded than those in central Amsterdam.

Overall experience wasn't bad. No AC so be mindful if booking during summers with rising heatwaves. The hotel itself is a labyrinth to access which is annoying for accessibility. Check in is said to happen ahead via email but it in fact still takes up much time in person. Mostly recommend young folks working just above a hostel budget. But I was very satisfied with the location as Amsterdam central can be too chaotic. And the employees were really lovely. Especially bar folks. It's bustling with people and music so definitely more of a young crowd/artsy vibe.

I loved the style of this hostel, but I've been too disappointed to enjoy it. I'll go straight to what I hated: 1. No check-in before 2 PM - Hence you're compelled to strand your bags in a miniroom and do without a shower\private toilet 2. Sensor lights - Get ready to poop and shower in the dark, unless you like dancing during those activities 3. Breakfast - €7/person and no pastry? Really? And mugs for hot beverages with no handles? What? 4. Tram stop - I expected it to be almost outside the door, instead it's like 400 m away, which is not the best if weather is not willing to cooperate 5. Staff - I barely saw some of them smile
