This is where we stayed for 2 nights in Athens. This is the best accommodation where you can enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the night view of the Acropolis from the rooftop. It was also easy to keep in touch with them, and they offered early check-in if it fit your schedule, which was great. The owner is also very friendly and will take you to the rooftop when you first check in and explain everything.

While the location was amazing and the room was nice, I felt compelled to write a review because of how wonderful Mario was! From the moment our family walked in, he was so polite, gracious, and genuinely happy to be there and help us make the most out of our stay. He must have taken at least 20 minutes to go through everything we might need to know and answer any questions we had. He helped us connect to WiFi, demonstrated how the hot water switch worked in our room, showed us the wonderful rooftop with Acropolis view that all guests have access to, pointed out the best paths to take to Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis (both very easy to walk to), and gave us dinner recommendations. The day before we left for our cruise, he helped us figure out the best time to leave for the port based on when we needed to be there and the expected traffic. He also arranged for a cab to meet us outside at that time so we didn't have to worry about anything - and it all worked out well! There was also a sheet of paper in the room (I believe it was laminated) that went over a lot of the things Mario covered in case we weren't able to remember everything. We did run into Grace briefly as she was cleaning rooms, and she was also very sweet. I had picked this hotel primarily based on the location/price after doing some research, and my parents were so happy and impressed with the selection and had no complaints. While you're close to a lot of things here, you're still a bit removed from the action so it's a lot quieter than if you were right on the square. A couple of things to note: - Entrance can be a bit tricky to find; the door is on Astingos, but a taxi will drop you off on Ermou or right on the corner of the two streets. I went on Google street view ahead of time so I knew what the area would be like and what to look for; I highly recommend doing that. - This is a small handful of units (2 rooms on each floor) as opposed to a larger hotel, so there is not always someone at the front desk. Because of this, a code is required to get into the building, so if there is no one there when you arrive, you can't get in. In my initial booking, there was a section to put anything they might need to know or special requests and I didn't think to put anything about our travel schedule or arrival time...so they had no idea when we were arriving. It also didn't occur to me to let them know how late we'd be getting in closer to the date; I guess I just assumed they'd always have someone at the front desk and didn't realize how small of an operation it was. We got there in the evening and once I saw the setup and situation I realized that Mario had been waiting for us, which I felt terrible about (polite as ever, he told me it was fine and don't even think about it), but just something to be aware of - make sure to communicate your anticipated arrival time (and flight info if relevant) to make it easier for everyone and ensure someone is there to let y

The staff are professional helpful and so friendly!!! Julius Mario and Grace they made our stay very special. ✨️ The hotel is great. It feels quite luxurious. It is centrally located, within walking distance to all the tourist sites. The hotel is either new or newly renovated. It is clean, fresh, and welcoming. The shower is amazing. The towels and beddings are of good quality. The bed is firm and comfortable. A 5* stay overall! Grazie mille!!! Thank you!!!! Eliza & Anahi

You can not beat the view of the Acropolis from the rooftop area. We took a drink or ice cream up every night to sit and admire the view. I would go back just for that but the the room was also great and cleaned daily. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Location is perfect to walk to everything. Yes, it can get loud on weekends but with the windows shut it is no extra noise than any other city.

Location for hotel is wonderful for walking the area, flea market and restaurants right outside the hotel doors, host are amazing very personable and accommodating, rooms are clean and comfortable only issue which is out of the control of hotel is the noise levels from outside you need a very good set of earplugs if your a light sleeper like me I had earplugs but not my normal set from home just some simple plugs for traveling and for me those were not sufficient so sleeping was difficult.

Our stay at Athens Versions was perfect. The hotel room was smart, clean and filled with light and air. It provided a basic kitchenette and space for visitors or just moving about. From the roof top veranda we could see what we came to see and to step out the rest of Athens and beyond is only a walk, taxi or metro away. Athens Versions is perfectly located in central Athens. But why leave? The Cafe at street level is there with smiles and menus. The staff is friendly and helpful; we were very happy with our stay and will return!

Excellent location & excellent staff - especially Mario & Mgr Lou!! Great ppl!! Rooftop best view ever & beautiful sunset too! Wi-Fi - best reception on rooftop; our first floor room Wi-Fi signal is weaker! We had a great time understanding the neighborhood. Very busy & noisy on Friday & Saturday-lots of partying going on. Wished we've had a room with a kitchenette also.

The hotel is within walking distance from local flea markets, dinning and archeological sites which was convenient for us. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. It’s a small hotel approx 12-14 rooms. We only saw the the guest service personnel twice. Just fyi, to conserve energy, the lights and AC only work when someone is in the room. You’ll need to place the key fob in a slot to activate the electricity. So it took the room a bit longer to cool off which was a little inconvenient after walking all day in the heat.

Decent hotel right in the middle of everything. The rooms were nice with some wear and tear. It was very clean. The rooftop terrace has a wonderful view of the Acropolis and is a nice place to end the day with a few drinks you can bring up (a beer store and liquor store within 200 meters of the hotel). There is a restaurant associated with the hotel but we didn't wind up eating there, but heard good things from other travelers. The hotel is a bit difficult to locate since the sign is pretty much hidden by overhangs, but Mario was a wonderful host when we finally found it and really helped getting luggage to our room and with helpful directions for things to see around locally. The other hosts weren't almost invisible so he stood out. The elevator is very small so you can't be claustrophobic and use that one. The hot water heaters also had a quirk where you had to turn them on every morning, but they gave hot water in a few minutes, not sure if that's typical in Greece or not. All in all, I would stay there again if I had a trip to Athens.

My husband and I stayed here for the length of our stay in Athens during our honeymoon. The service was so great; the woman who let us in was very sweet! We had a little bit of a hard time finding its exact location, but that was more our own fault than anything else. I will say, the elevator is a little tight with luggage, but overall, the room was clean and beautiful, the view was nice, the staff was very friendly, and the location was fantastic. We easily walked to many great restaurants, tour pickups, and sights. When we were leaving, we had a really stressful situation, as we had accidentally booked the car pickup from the hotel to get to the airport for the wrong time. The owner of the cafe downstairs was extremely kind and helped us speak to the car service in Greek and made sure we made it to the airport on time even though he didn't have the best English. Incredible kindness and hospitality, and it was VERY much appreciated. I don't know if we would have made it to Paros without him! A tip: we booked a food tour with Rachel and Michalis through AirBnB experiences that begins a 5-10 min walk away at Monastiraki Plaza, and we can't recommend it enough!! One of our favorite parts of the whole trip.

Never stayed in the hotel but I did visit the bar which was so inviting . A cool looking bar ,nice decor and furnishings, lots of seating options both inside and outside ,this is were we chose to sit on a really hot night. We ordered beers from Arthenian Brewery ( Mamos beer ) ,these bottled beers were served iced cold ,we chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My beer was really good, prefer this to the more commonplace Mythos beer,it's a light ,hoppy and very drinkable beer bursting with taste ,so easy to drink ,when served iced cold as in this bar it's such a refreshing beer. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to here we had a great time,it's easy to locate along Ermou and well worth checking out.

We visited this excellent hotel bar very late in the evening and this bar was busy as the hotel bar had live entertainment. We took a seat on the outside terrace and had a few bottles of Mythos beers which were superb and well priced. This is a brilliant hotel bar that is well worth a visit and is really easy to locate from the Monastiraki metro stop its only a couple of minutes walk away.(This is my first review of Athens Version Luxery Suites bar). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-Don't Know. Public Transport. Metro Stop. Monastiraki metro stop.

Disappointed with this stay! Hotel room flooring was in a bad shape, with flooring boards moving, leaving lots of gaps. I even scratched myself in one of the gaps. The rooftop was nice but very tiny and not much usable since there is an exterior wall painting going on at the evening and night times. Windows of the room was so bad that you can hear someone coughing on the street, even our room was on 3rd floor. Crazy part - when i informed these issues to the property manager, he brushed it off, saying that they are aware of the issue but will not take care of it until off season. Location was nice, but certainly not worth the money with all the issues! I wish they specifically mention these issues to the future guests, so others can make an informed decision.
