Funchal Hotels with Bars

We really enjoyed our stay at Baia Azul. This hotel has everything! Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff is friendly, the room is a good size and everything was clean. The room has a mini fridge, slippers and robes. They also provide pool towels. There is a cleaning service everyday and they change all the towels, including the ones for the pool. The bed was not the best as it was quite hard and had a spring mattress. We enjoyed the indoor pool, the jacuzzi and sauna. We haven't tried the outdoor pool as we only spent time there in the evenings. The breakfast was good. I'd come back as it was a nice experience overall.

The hotel facilities and location are amazing! The rooms are big and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is good with many options. The only negative point is the lack of detail in the service. The y offer only one water bottle per room and charge for refill, they offer no vanity kit or sleepers. Emitem magnólia could be a top hotel in Madeira if they pay more attention to the details. Overall we had a good time anyway.

Double room for single occupancy; the room is rather substandard and in no way meets the standards of a 4-star hotel. Upon arrival, there was a steadily growing puddle under the sink in the bathroom, extending behind the toilet. The damage must have been known for some time, as the corresponding limescale stains had not been removed. There were water stains all over the bathroom ceiling, a discolored shower curtain, and not a single electrical outlet (even for an electric toothbrush). The room itself is only habitable with the balcony closed, as jackhammers and excavators operate loudly from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the hotel opposite, making noise impossible to ignore even with the door closed. Therefore, balcony use is only possible after 6:00 PM. Moving to another room is not possible, as the hotel is fully booked. For my trip costing €622, I was offered a complimentary dinner (worth €21.50) in the hotel restaurant on the last evening as compensation.

The experience in Pestana Ocean Bay was quite pleasant, the collaborators were always very sympathetic and attentive, helped whenever it was necessary, have certainly a team concerned with the guest, careful, in a questionnaire I answered in the middle of my stay, I mentioned that there could be grapes in the buffets (this because my daughter loves them very much, and the grapes were a fruit that had not yet appeared), I made this comment thinking that it would not be read, however, on the day after arrival at the room we had a beautiful grape plate, at that moment, we felt shaved as if we were at home, it was a gesture of care that left us sensitive, are of congratulations That is why and because they actually read the questionnaires, which we often think no one will read and care about what is written there. They have a good organisation, presentation and logistics of everything that involves a stay: meals, animation at the end of the day, excursions/passages, etc. Continuation of excellent work ☺️ thanks.

A big thank you to the wonderful team at the Golden Residence hotel. From the bottle of sparkling wine to the small gestures like the candy offered at check-out, our stay was excellent. The indoor pool and Turkish bath are a must, in addition to the outdoor pool. The rooms are large, with a living room and kitchenette; the only thing missing was a TV in the bedroom. Very good location.

I chose a hotel with an ocean view at an affordable price. As a result, there was a hotel with very spacious rooms, panoramic window, coffee/tea, a comfortable bathroom with bid, a large balcony. The only moments: a separate bed for the couple and a weak shower. Noise of night waves on the amateur:) We had to close the door on the balcony, though it was quite noisy. The service is very friendly.  Breakfast is delicious and fresh. There are plenty of baking, drinks, cuts and hot.  I didn't expect there would be a free transfer to the center and back. Absolute plus this hotel because it is not in step-by-step access from the center.  The views, the purity near the hotel, its beach is amazing.  Then we lived in the private sector and a lot of what looked at the island, but the first two nights in Orca Praia remained in our heart 💘 With respect,  Elena from Russia

The dining room -I was there for the breakfast- is an old one, not so inviting. The breakfast-selection is not so good, as a vegan or vegetarian you can't choose much (only beans & bread), the coffee is okay but not tasty, the juices are not fresh & sugary. There is no big pot for cooking, for two persons it would be good to have one. The bed is good, the fan does its job, the bathroom is big enough, the balcony practical. The location is near to the busline, 30min to walk to the center & there is the Lido promenade (with some places to swim) to the next small city with a small light tunnel for pedestrians, there you can hear/see the surf :) The opening times for the pool are too late in the morning and too short (8.00-20.00). The female staff at the reception with the glasses (saturday evening), didn't manage my wake-up-call for the next morning (the staff at this day showed me that he had no notice for a call), thats not a good one, because sometimes you have to depend on it.

The hotel is beautiful and super homey, you can get to the city centre really easily as there is like 3 different buses and one that is less than a 3 minute walk away from the hotel, the staff are kind and friendly, we initially got given a room right next to the entrance, due to the really thin walls it was unfortunately really loud, but the staff moved us to a much better room with no problem at all, the rooms aren’t super clean as there was some hair left after cleaning and a bag of medicine another guest had left, but it’s an amazing hotel and I’ll be staying here again next time I visit. The pool is not usable (extremely dirty) and the breakfast and coffee are way too much for what you get.

It's perfect for this price category. A great breakfast for the 3 star hotel. A kitchen where you can cook a delicious dinner from fine food. Strong extract, no smell, even if you give yourself a fish Balcony with a chic view, on which it is wonderful to go with a sea view and a shining fire Mount Monte. . Cleaning every day. The area is beautiful. Down on the street-promenade along the ocean, a chic huge supermarket, green, cafes.. Recommend. Yes, the hotel is old, a little scratched everything, but the advantages overlap the minus with the cost of this all..
