The service was okay but when we checked in they asked to see our travel log history in which we showed them but they opened up a previous customers travel history and they were worried that we had been to Shandong province but in fact they just hadn’t checked the Chinese persons travel history and they were being overly cautious because we were foreigners. We have been in Beijing for months. They also gave our room to someone else but kindly gave us a lovely upgrade to the executive apartments. The breakfast was quite disappointing the pastries were dry with a hot lamp above them and there was no flavour but a lot of variety for Chinese breakfast style food if that’s what you’re into. I wouldn’t call this a international breakfast. The waitress in the breakfast lobby kindly found us some room temperature water because they only had hot water at the buffet. Because of the location we really enjoyed our stay but we probably will not go again. The amenities were alright but for such a lovely big bath tub there was only one small bottle of body wash which only lasted one tub use and then we couldn’t have a shower or go in the tub again because there was only one bottle between the both of us. I wouldn’t say not to recommend this hotel, it would be very good for people on business trips and big families but I wouldn’t recommend it for couples. Of the five hotels we have stayed in within Beijing, this hotel is ranked last.

Grand Hyatt Beijing

Everything in regards to our stay at the Grand Hyatt was 6* except for the WiFi which wasn't of international standards. Location was spot on a central network linked to the mall with major big brands Which is linked to the 1st class train system. It's also 30mins walk to the Forbidden city. And the gym 🏋️♀️ and Pool and Spa was simply immaculate and luxurious first class with a heated pool oasis. Wished I could have spent more time enjoying the facilities. And what complimented well to the global luxurious brand was it's staff members! I have to call out the exceptional 2 departments Conceige and Housekeeping which was truly above and beyond!!! Daniel -assisted with restaurant bookings and forbidden City tickets reservations. And when he was off duty he still wechat me to suggest how to maximise the use of our tickets and best way to maximise time to visit Tianamen Square too and tips too on best way all this while he was off duty! Such dedication!!! Another staff whom I like to recognise is Cecila also from Conceige. When asked for directions on day 1, she didn't just verbalise, she left her station and ushered us all the way outside and showed us the right way around to our breakfast destination. On day 2, which is also check out day, she realised its J birthday and made arrangments for not 1 but 2 bakes so that our dearest friends could enjoy together too. She also kept in touch on wechat to organise all our logistical arrangments several times. Each time with a 😃 smile. Outstanding! Housekeeping lady for rooms 1221 and 1220 was simple though and detailed and went above and beyond too. So much personal touch to all that she did which most would never bother! Good job!! And best of all, she didn't expect anything in return. Absolutely admirable! Unsung hero! Check in staff Allan was pleasant and swift with our late check in and made our final day breakfast logistics seamless. Thank you and thanks for responding efficiently on wechat too. Con- WiFi sucks badly.....surprised that a 5* global brand couldn't keep u to. Chengdu 4* service Residence. So frustrating for global travellers like ourselves. Hope the next time we stay here sky guo would have fixed this feedback! Alongside with ensuring that luke warm pre made coffee will not be served. Absolutely charming sales director

Madison Hotel Wangfujing Tiananmen Beijing

Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area
The hotel I originally stayed at was unavailable for some reason. Thanks to the Ctrip platform for helping me switch to this hotel. The hotel is located very close to Wangfujing Street and a four- to five-minute walk from Wangfujing Subway. It is absolutely convenient to travel. The lobby of the hotel is bright and clean, and the entire decoration style is modern, light and luxurious, very fashionable. The rooms are equipped with smart lights, the bedding is comfortable, and the bathroom is large and clean. There is also a laundry area in the public area, which is convenient for business travelers who want to stay for a few more nights. The restaurant environment is very good, and the breakfast variety is also rich. The hotel's front desk waiters, restaurant waiters, and room waiters all have very good attitudes and will proactively greet you warmly. The stay experience was very good, I will choose it next time

Facilities: The decoration is too old, it was from 2008. At this price, I prefer to go to the current smart hotel. Hygiene: Of course the hygiene of a five-star hotel is acceptable. There is nothing to say about this. Environment: The environment is acceptable, with small bridges, flowing water and rockery Service: It was after one o'clock in the morning when we arrived. As a five-star hotel, doesn't the concierge provide 24-hour service? I have stayed in so many high-star hotels. When I entered, there was no concierge and the taxi driver brought me suitcases (one large and one small dragging 24-inch suitcases). I found the front desk by myself. The person who received me should be the lobby manager after reporting it. After checking in, he sent us all the way to the room and was kind enough to upgrade to a family suite. Next time I go to Beijing, I probably won't stay here again.

Very good hotel. The reception at the front desk is warm. The indoor environment is warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is delivered to the room. I booked a two-day stay and the breakfast is not repeated on both days. Breakfast will be delivered at a fixed time according to the guest's time. It is uncomfortable at night. , the medicine bought from **, the small robot was delivered to the door of the room. On the day of check-out, because we could not make it back from the scenic spot in time, the customer service Xiao Cao delayed it until we came back, and also helped us deliver our luggage to the rental 👍👍👍 👍

The room is spacious and nice. I requested a humidifier and less than five minutes the housekeeper send one to The room and set it up. The view from my room is very nice. The breakfast buffet is best so far, lots of variety and tasty. Quick respond we needed to check out and requested for help to send down our luggage. The front office manager helped me get a taxi to go PEK airport in the evening. Nearby there is a mall with macdonalds, steamboat and movie theatre etc. about 1.6 km walk to wang fu Jing shopping area.

The location of the hotel is so closed to the MRT stat - 崇文门,the entrance/exit is just right in-front of the hotel! As it was off-peak season when we visited Beijing, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Suite, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. We really appreciate the kind act. While I was still at other part of China, I thought of ordering something online and use this hotel as the receiving end, I thought of just checking it out, and to my pleasant surprise, the hotel does provide such service and the staff helpfully guided me on how to do so. After I checked into the hotel and gotten the item I ordered, a few days later, but sadly the item didn't suit me, the hotel again provides the service of allowing the courier staff to go to the counter to collect back the return item. I was amazed by the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the staff there. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times.
