Only the welcome was friendly, what followed was a total disappoin**ent... When we arrived, the receptionist kindly accompanied us to the hotel's closed garage to assign us a place. We had arrived early and while waiting for the room to be ready the receptionist offered us to sit in the restaurant since the kitchen was still open (at 1:45 p.m.): once seated, the waiter immediately let us know that it was too late and we were just able to order 2 cappuccinos. Around 3 p.m. the room still did not seem to be ready, but above all I was warned that my wish (clearly expressed during my reservation) could only be granted for a supplement of 10 €... I would just have liked a room overlooking - a little, even to the side... - on the Marktplatz and the abbey church... I expressed my surprise and my refusal to pay these ridiculous 10 euros (on principle) and I was has therefore allocated a room whose 2 attached photos will give potential customers an idea of the effort made to tourists to make their stay more pleasant: I would like to point out that at this time of year the hotel was far from being complete! A word about the double bed: it is actually 2 separate beds which are pushed together but separate at the slightest movement! Strongly not recommended for any young couple on their honeymoon for example... As for dinner...! Not only is the table imposed on you, but the meals served are of a mediocre standard, absolutely not up to the image of a gourmet restaurant that this establishment would like to give itself! The fresh "Pfifferlinge" (girolles in French) accompanied by traditional Bavarian "Knödel" consisted of a few overcooked mushrooms which fought a duel with 2 compact and indigestible balls in an indefinable cream sauce... And then, even if habits and customs differ from one country to another, German restaurateurs should finally integrate the idea that the meal is not served before the customer has finished their aperitif! And yet we had reported it to the server when ordering! In summary: a hotel that is well located in a village where there is ultimately nothing other than a baroque church (as beautiful as it is) but which makes no effort to encourage customers to come back...
