When we got to the hotel they told us that they couldn't find our reservation. He asked me for the receipt of the reservation and I showed it to him. The receptionist spent almost an hour looking for the reservation on his computer and making calls to his boss. It was late at night, we had been traveling all day and we were exhausted. We were waiting for almost an hour. The receptionist concluded that if we wanted to stay we should pay the reservation price, again. I paid the price again. Then he led us to a building on another street and put us in the worst room I have ever seen. It was certainly not the room I had booked on eDreams. It was a floor -1 to which you descended by a staircase where they kept brooms, buckets, mops ... The window faced the street, the street floor, so we heard all the noises of motorcycles, pedestrians, people talking... The room is just below the entrance door so you could hear the footsteps of other guests and their suitcases. We hardly slept that night. The room is not worthy of the name. The walls were dirty, the ceiling had dampness, the bed sheet had a tear. The switch on which the card is put to activate the electricity in the room was detached from the wall so, from time to time, the lights would go out ... In short, it is not the room I booked, it is not the room I saw in the photos on eDreams. It is, surely, the worst room they have in the hotel and it is certainly not worth the price I paid. They shouldn't offer anyone that room. Very disappointed with the experience in this hotel. We arrived in Istanbul exhausted after traveling practically all day and we encountered this unpleasant situation ... We were traveling for two weeks in Turkey and staying in hotels of a similar price range and nothing similar to what we experienced in this hotel ever happened to us . So if you need to stay around Taksim, there are many honest places around.
