Ténéo Apparthôtel Bordeaux Maritime - Cité du Vin

Bordeaux|1.57km from Parc des Berges de Garonne
We have stayed in the hotel before as we have family nearby. We went out for dinner and came back to our key fob not working and we were unable to get back into our room. We called the emergency number on the door as the reception is closed between 7pm and 7am and there are no hotel employees on the premises during this time. We spoke to a guardian who spoke no English and poor French who told us that he would do a security round around midnight but we would have to stay outside until then - it was 8.30pm! We said that this was impossible and that we needed to get back into the room, to which he told us that it was not his problem. After a 30 minute discussion he got us to open a key safe and take another room card and said we should stay in another room for the night - obviously not a solution as we had medication in the room that needed to be taken, to which he replied it wasn't his problem and we should have taken it with us to dinner. At this point we asked to speak to a supervisor and threatened a formal complaint. He finally accepted to make the 30 minute drive to the hotel from where he was but when he got here had no idea how to open the room. It took another hour to find a solution. Although the reception the next morning agreed that this was unacceptable and the receptionist was understanding, we have decided to go elsewhere and we are yet to see a reimbursement for this terrible customer service.

There is a waitress at the front desk that is not friendly and welcoming, and everything else is fine!

This hostel was probably the best for its price I’ve ever been in. Very helping and friendly stuff, I found exceptional good sleep due to your good privacy in bed with curtains. If you want to visit the beautiful Bordeaux and don’t wanna spend a ton of money for sleeping this hostel is perfect for you!

We stayed here last weekend. From arrival to departure, we found the staff to be extremely friendly and professional. We arrived towards the end of service for dinner on Saturday but this wasn’t a problem, we were served efficiently and the food was superb. Choice was a little limited - just three choices for each course - but this wasn’t a problem for us as we all found something we liked. Breakfast was excellent though a little pricey, to be honest. 16€ Per person for a breakfast? Rooms were as you would always expect in a Novotel. Very clean and the comfiest bed and pillows. If I have a slight negative it would be to say that I think the public areas, which are beautiful, are maintained to a higher standard than the rooms (paint chipped off of toilet door and blistered plaster above the shower) but I really am splitting hairs here. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would be delighted to returm

Though not in the center of town, this apartment hotel is clean, well-run, and convenient to transportation. Just outside the center, the short tram ride to much of what you want to see and do makes it a convenient place to stay. The neighborhood isn't particularly picturesque and is part of a developing area of old shipping buildings converted into shops, restaurants, and art spaces. It's also a short walk to the new Cite du Vin, kind of a waste of time and money IMO. You're better off spending your time and money going to an actual winery.

First impressions is this place is like a motel from an American movie with roller shutters on the windows. However, room & bathroom were more than adequate, lovely and clean, crisp bed linen & towels. Air conditioning worked well too. The front desk staff (day and night) were very polite and helpful, and also spoke good English. The bar area is limited but we had good service regardless. The continental breakfast was generous for €11, with plenty of fresh coffee, fruit juices, fruit, meat & cheese, cereals and all kinds of breads and pastries. The 2 waitresses were super helpful and friendly as well. Location was great for main route access as well as the brilliant tram facility, which was €1.70 a journey into the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked directly on the site and recover the key in a safe receipt being open only two days in the week We took possession of our apartment in a clean appearance because I think the household had not been made before Our arrival despite the covid We have the habit of shoes off by coming but walking naked feet those were black I have to wash myself the floor that brought my maintenance products because I knew there was nothing Idem for the the electrical plate that should have been better decaped. There was no stick and towels for a person and there was no cover for the bed sofa The arrangement was badly thought because he had put a desk under the TV and all the catches were on the wall of the top table to eat what the fact that the office is useless except to reverse eating on the office and work on the high table Bravo messieurs architects Sinon has all this the apartment was quiet and the view of the pleasant garden We refused access for the household to 3th day due to the covid and especially if the latter was done as we arrived
