Hotel room is small but great location extremely close to Senso-ji temple and Nakamise-dori stretching 250 meters with roughly 90 traditional stalls. 

Free luggage storages before check in time and after check out.  

2nd time checked in to this hotel.  Location offers good value for the price. 

Subway/train to Haneda or Narita airport is about 20 mins walk to Asakusa A18.  It is advisable to use Elevator A2b if you have heavy luggages as walking down the stairs is horrendous.  

Would like to suggest hotel management to install water dispenser near to pantry areas so as to convenient guests to get hot or cold water for drinks.

Situated in the heart of Asakusa, you really couldn't ask for more when it comes to the location of this hotel. With 24 hours convenience stores and a Don Don Donki nearby, you'll have access to most products a typical traveller might need.

The hotel provides a microwave for its customers, and housekeeping does a good job keeping the room tidy daily. However, the hotel is quite dated and obvious stains/scratches could be observed on the carpets and walls. There's also no elevator in the hotel, so you'll need to climb for quite a bit to get to your room. Other than that, their front desk personnel are quite polite, and our stay here was peaceful.

I traveled to Tokyo alone this time and stayed at the Tawaraya Pop Hotel in Asakusa. Overall, the experience was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient; I could walk to Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon, and there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The subway station is right next door. Although the single room wasn't large, it was very cozy, clean, and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom space was just right, the water pressure for showering was stable, and all the amenities were well-stocked. The front desk staff were very friendly, communication was easy, and their service was attentive. They even allowed me to store my luggage, which was very thoughtful. For a solo traveler, this hotel offers great value for money, and it's safe and quiet. Next time I visit Asakusa, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended for solo travelers! 🌸🏙️✨

If you’re looking for an affordable stay that puts you steps away from buzzing restaurants and nightlife, this small hotel is a perfect pick. It’s light on frills but heavy on convenience, offering a no-fuss base for explorers who want to spend more on experiences than accommodations.  
Tucked into a lively neighborhood, it’s surrounded by a number of cafes, restaurants, bars and convenience stores—all within a 1-2 minute walk, basically everything is right at your doorstep. The area feels vibrant but safe, with popular temples and public transit (a metro station just 5-10 minutes away) makes it easy to venture farther afield.  
The hotel is room was small and compact but spotless, with a comfortable bed, AC ,curtains, and a sleek ensuite bathroom (hot shower + good water pressure!).The basics like a TV, free Wi-Fi, and a small desk were provided. The lack of clutter and modern minimalist design made the space feel fresh, not cramped. The bed is just good enough for two regular adults and a small kids.
While amenities are limited, they cover the essentials: 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and free amenities refills at the front desk.
The staff were friendly and efficient. They offered quick check-in/out, and delivered fresh towels to our door in the morning.

The light at the entrance probably got a motion detector that it kept turning on and off despite my minor body movement in the bed. Luckily I had mask to cover my eyes otherwise won’t be able to fall asleep. The reception staff was gentle and friendly.

Facilities: The room is not big, but it is fully equipped with basic accommodation facilities.
Hygiene: The room was clean.
Environment: The surrounding environment is quiet, about a 10-minute walk from Tennoji Station, and there is a Don Quijote 2 minutes away, so shopping is convenient.
Service: The service staff is friendly.

It was close to the station and there was a convenience store next door.

It was a non-smoking room, but I was a little worried about the smell of cigarettes...

It's just a little dirty. Well, I have to be convinced at the price.

The room was very nice - sufficiently large and with all necessary amenities (even a small fridge). The room was clean and in good condition. The staff was very kind and stored my luggage for free, as I arrived early in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located, yet in a rather quiet place. It's a walking distance from both Nagano station and Zenkoji temple (approximately 20-25 minutes), however, do note that the nearest bus stop is about 900 meters away, so if you got a lot of luggage and do not intend to get a taxi, that may be a bit far. They also have coin operated washing machines and dryers, in case you need them. Overall, a great option for most travelers, especially in terms of value for money.

The hotel looks old and isn't particularly striking from the street. However, the Japanese are incredibly meticulous with cleaning, so it's impeccably clean inside. The location is also super convenient (there's a great ramen place in the next building). You'll even find some retro features, like a two-handle faucet and an old TV – very authentic. My only minor complaint is that I couldn't get the air conditioning to cool, only to heat.
