The location is excellent, right on West Nanjing Road, making it very convenient for getting around. I booked three nights. First, I stayed in a king-size room on the thirteenth floor. Although the facilities were a bit old, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toilet was smart. I particularly want to commend Mr. Liu from housekeeping. When I needed to switch rooms, he ran up and down the stairs, enthusiastically and thoughtfully, always kind and friendly. Ms. Xiao Huang from housekeeping was also meticulous in her work and always accommodated requests. These two ladies truly add to the charm of this century-old establishment. 

However, the downside was the incredibly poor attitude of a young woman working at the front desk on April 2nd. She was cold and heartless, and every request was met with a blunt 'no'. Later, she called over someone who seemed to be her supervisor, whose attitude was even worse. I had booked breakfast, but no matter how I tried to coordinate, it was impossible. They kept insisting I go back to where I made the booking. I then contacted Trip.com, but their customer service calls were fruitless. Eventually, the Trip.com agent escalated it to their supervisor, but even the Trip.com supervisor couldn't persuade the front desk. In the end, the Trip.com supervisor said they would cover the cost. 

I went for breakfast the next day and was extremely disappointed. For 128 yuan, the variety was minimal, with only a few types of bread and some small dishes. Both the taste and service were unsatisfactory. Thankfully, I didn't purchase breakfast for the remaining two days. If László Hudec (the architect of the hotel) were to stay here, he'd probably have to show some deference to the arrogant attitudes of the front desk, including even the intern bellboys! I've stayed in many hotels both domestically and internationally, always giving five-star ratings, and I've never written such a long review. This time, my patience was truly pushed to its limit.

The hotel is visible from afar. It's tall and stylish. But the room wasn't very impressive. The floor is carpeted, which is difficult to clean and feels dirty. It's also uneven. There are scuffs, dust, and stains everywhere. You don't expect to see such flaws here. We stayed in a super small and cheap hotel in Beijing for 2,000 rubles, and everything there was a whole lot cleaner. The service was also questionable. My friend and I were traveling, and she was the first to show up at the reception desk to check us in. I arrived two minutes later, and they didn't even say hello. I just handed over my passport and that was it. No hello, no goodbye. Everything was fine when we checked out, but this was a surprise.

Jinjiang Hotel, quite famous indeed! They say even national leaders and world-class dignitaries have stayed here.

I came specifically to experience it, and ended up staying for four nights. The surrounding area is lovely, with Maoming South Road, Huaihai Middle Road, Changle Road, and Ruijin Road all nearby. There's a restaurant called Guangming Cun on Huaihai Middle Road that always has a long queue. I'll have to try it next time; apparently, it serves traditional Shanghainese small dishes. Further east, there are some old-Shanghai-style pickle shops that are quite popular. It's springtime now, so the queue for Qingtuan (green glutinous rice balls) is incredibly long and winding! 👍

I stayed in the Jin Nan Building. On the day I checked out (around 12 PM on March 29th), the doorman proactively helped me put my heavy luggage into the car, which I really appreciated.

The staff at the front desk, both gentlemen and ladies, generally had a 'calm and composed' demeanor – 'neither subservient nor arrogant,' 'spoke no unnecessary words,' and were 'neither warm nor cold.' 👍!

Oh, and the breakfast was excellent. Great atmosphere and environment. The freshly ground coffee was especially fragrant!

Great location! It's right next to Xujiahui subway station, making it super convenient to get to both Shanghai South Railway Station and Hongqiao Station. There's also a fantastic variety of local snacks nearby. I tried the Shanghai pan-fried buns, savory soy milk, savory tofu pudding, and fried pork chop – all delicious!

The hotel's hygiene and environment were perfectly fine. I had requested a good view and a high floor when booking, and when I checked in, I specifically asked the front desk staff for help. They were kind enough to assign me a room on the sixth floor with a nice view. It was so comfortable enjoying the Shanghai snacks while admiring the night view. I imagine the night view would be even better from a higher floor.

Minibar: Were those tea and coffee bags provided? The quality was decent enough to drink.

The room was spacious, with a smart toilet and double sinks, plus a capsule coffee machine. The hotel breakfast was also good, with plenty of space so no waiting. The only drawback might be the pool; it's only 1.2m deep, so when it gets crowded, you can't really swim. Also, the front desk was unstaffed when I arrived and left, so I had to self-check-in/out. They also ran out of plastic slippers in the pool area. There's room for improvement there.

The room color was even more premium than in the photos. Everything in the room was neatly arranged, and for a hotel with full carpeting, the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The location is superb, just a few dozen meters from the subway station, making travel very convenient. The doorman, front desk, and elevator lobby staff were all very responsible, meticulous, and had great attitudes.

Location, cleanliness, service are good. However, there is some renovations on-going at the 4th storey that caused noise. Hope the renovation will end soon.

The hotel's most striking feature is probably its sheer size; I couldn't even explore it all! However, it's a bit dated, and many things show signs of wear and tear. It appears to have undergone renovation at some point, and was still relatively clean and tidy. Crucially, the bathroom and AC were problem-free. Breakfast was delicious, and the 'Wadi Su' (a type of crispy pastry) and various pickled vegetables were very characteristic local specialties of Zhujiajiao. It would be even better if there were more amenities for children.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The location was near the airport where we needed to be but it’s not great if you want to explore downtown. The staff were also lovely, The pool is nice and warm enough with great staff too. There was a few concerns I had. We had the ac in as cold and as high as it would go and it was just passable. I’d be scared to come in summer. We had the baby crib which was set up lovely but there was a weird door there baby could kick out of and slip through. We put a suitcase up next to it to keep it shut but it could be really dangerous if you didn’t notice.

The room was quite spacious and appeared clean and tidy. The service attitude was good, and breakfast was also great. Overall, the experience matched the price point. The subway station is just about 10 meters to the left when you exit the lobby, and there's a mall with dining options right across the street, making both transportation and food very convenient.

Hotel is located close to Wang Fu Jing street. It's a very big and grand hotel, but you can tell it's a bit old. There was a leak under our sink and there's a puddle of water in the bathroom constantly. The shower door won't close properly so water gets out everywhere. We had 2 beds in the room, one of the bed was hard as rock. At night, hallways aren't well lit for gym. Good service, staff brought extra towels when they realized we had 2 kids and were very friendly.

I used to stay at this hotel often, but my check-in yesterday was extremely disappointing. It's already quite warm in Beijing by the end of March, and the room temperature was 27 degrees Celsius at night. With the thick duvet and mattress on the bed, it was impossible to sleep. I called the hotel, and they told me the air conditioning wasn't on yet, offering to send a fan instead. I had a truly miserable night's sleep. The most basic facilities aren't even up to par. I'm never coming back.

I always choose this place when I go on business trips. This one is very convenient in Yizhuang Hotel. The breakfast is also quite rich. There is also a KTV downstairs. After a day of meetings, you can go downstairs to relax. Parking is also very convenient.

Better than I expected for the price. The bed and room were quite comfortable. The room was larger than I expected. The hotel breakfast was adequate. Not particularly good, and too much lukewarm, overcooked fried Chinese food, but not as bad as some other hotels. Slightly above average for a Chinese hotel breakfast. Staff had essentially no English language knowledge, which is a little disappointing for this class of hotel in Beijing, but they were happy to work with translators. I would stay here again.

The service was great! The location is fantastic, really close to the Bell and Drum Towers, and super convenient with a subway station right outside. The facilities are new, and the service is excellent. Special shout-out to Xiao Li at the front desk for their amazing service, and Manager Changchun from Datang was also wonderful, even granting us a late check-out. We got to watch a beautiful snowfall from our room, which was an added bonus.

The hotel was generally very nice and convenient, not far from the highway exit and very close to the Olympic Sports Center (about a ten-minute drive). Even the river-view rooms had great views, and the rooms were quite spacious. The environment was really nice, but it's a prime location. I went on New Year's Eve, and it was incredibly crowded. I wanted to try the breakfast, but unfortunately, I was too late to get up, so I won't comment on that (I think a small open-air balcony would be nice; I highly recommend it). The only drawback was that the facilities had some minor issues. I drove there right after work, already exhausted, and wanted to rest before going out for dinner and entertainment. However, the bedside socket was faulty, and it took about 40-50 minutes to check and repair it. It was really frustrating. This is the bare minimum for a hotel; any room problems should be addressed beforehand. I don't know if the previous guests didn't report it or what, but this kind of basic mistake shouldn't be made. Furthermore, no staff member apologized at all. The only apology was from the repairman who said something like ”sorry to bother you.” No one from the front desk or the housekeeper inquired about our well-being. I just wanted to ask, ”Where is the apology?” My first stay wasn't great. When checking in, I asked if I could have a late check-out. The receptionist, Ms. Zheng, was very kind and let us check out at 2 PM. Considering it was New Year's Day, being able to check out at 2 PM was still a huge relief. The concierge was also very helpful; he even helped me with my luggage, although I only had two backpacks, and explained how to use the lighting controls.

In short, the price wasn't really good value for money. Without the receptionist and concierge, I would have given this hotel a bad review. It's unbelievable that such a large hotel isn't as good value as hotels costing 200-300 yuan these days; it's ridiculous.
