One should always review objectively and remind oneself of the price one is paying. The price of this hotel is very low given the location. This area of West Chengdu is affluent and the hotel is situated perfectly on the main thoroughfare that encircles the city and is a 20 minute walk from the art museums and botanical gardens (which are majestic). There is an elevator, and importantly, I liked the staff; they were welcoming and professional. The hotel is in all honesty, however, very shabby indeed, perhaps the most shabby I've seen in China thus far, but the room was clean and the linen white and pressed. The AC worked well and the bathroom was satisfactory, clean and amenities were provided. Once again, I reiterate, the price is very low, but what you get in return is very good indeed.

Facilities: The hotel has complete facilities.
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy.
Environment: The environment is quiet and peaceful, with many restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Service: The hotel owner is very friendly and patient; airport pick-up and drop-off was provided promptly after a phone call. I hope the hotel continues to improve and wish them continued success!
