Just ok, not the best hotel of our trip by a long shot. Relatively clean but could see lots of black in the bathrooms around the gap next to the bathtub, the grout and the bathroom door…hoping it wasn’t black mould. Pillow was very uncomfortable and the blanket was a shiny texture so kept sliding off throughout the night. Bathroom towels shed a bit on the skin. Quite small so any more than 2 suitcases would struggle. Only winning factor for this hotel would be the location. Cleaning staff were nice.

A Comfortable Stay at Quintessa Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin Minami ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently stayed at Quintessa Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin Minami and had a great experience. The hotel is notably large, modern, and exceptionally clean.
What I loved about this hotel:
Facilities: It’s very convenient as they offer on-site parking and a bicycle rental service, which is perfect for exploring the Tenjin area.
The Room: A huge plus is that every room comes with a bathtub, perfect for soaking and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.
Space Recommendation: If you prefer more space, I highly recommend booking a Twin Room or larger. While the Single Rooms are a bit compact (as is typical in Japan), they are still better designed and more comfortable than many other hotels I’ve stayed at in the same price range.
Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Fukuoka. Great location, helpful staff, and top-tier cleanliness!

**Pros:** I really liked the bathroom's wet/dry separation and its overall design. Disposable slippers were also provided. 

**Cons:** I noticed cobwebs on the light fixtures, which suggests a lack of attention to detail in the cleaning. The lighting was quite dim, making it very inconvenient to pack and unpack my luggage, as some items were hard to see. Also, the hotel is a considerable distance from the station, so guests with heavy luggage should definitely take this into account.

The location was a bit tricky, but it was closer to the bus stop than the subway, and it was midway between Hakata and Tenjin, so it wasn't inconvenient to get around. However, it seemed like Trip.com had only recently started accepting reservations, so the room photos and descriptions weren't accurate. Payment was only possible on-site at the hotel. The room I booked and the room I received were different, so I inquired. They contacted Trip.com and explained that the photo must have been posted incorrectly. However, since it was the weekend, there were no rooms available, and the price was right for the room I booked. Still, the manager, who seemed to be feeling the pinch, provided water and beer. Thank you!
And there was a Korean staff member, which was a welcome surprise. The Japanese-style room was spacious. There was a large public bath, a Family Mart nearby, and a lunch area on the first floor. Of course, you could also rent comics if you wanted.

Came b4 check in time and they effortlessly offered to handle our luggage, our room is pretty big even though still hard to open 3 big luggage at the same time, our room directly face the streets but we don't hear lots of noise, breakfast pretty solid, they change several menus every single day, they only clean once for our 5 nights stay, but thats fine they change the towel and emptying the trash bin everyday, they also have washing and drying machine operated by coin, microwave also,location is really good near susukino station, near nikka whisky sign, and also near bus stop to the airport over all very nice

During our recent family stay, we appreciated the spaciousness of our room. However, we encountered a few issues that impacted our comfort and safety. The lift doors closed very quickly and hit us on several occasions, which was alarming. For families, having two double beds in such a large room would be a much more practical configuration. Furthermore, the inability to adjust the centralized air conditioning made the room excessively warm and stuffy, which was particularly uncomfortable. We hope this feedback is helpful for future improvements

Overall, the stay was comfortable with several thoughtful touches, though there were some design drawbacks. The beds were soft and comfortable, and it was especially convenient that the sofa bed had already been made up for my daughter when we arrived. Toiletries were provided at check-in, which was a nice and practical detail. The concierge staff were consistently polite and helpful, and I appreciated the flavoured water always available in the lobby. The location is also very convenient and made getting around easy.

However, the room itself is quite small. The walkway between the door and the beds is extremely narrow, and one side of the bed sits directly against the wall, making it difficult to get out at night without disturbing your partner.

My biggest concern was the onsen changing area. When I entered, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Drying my hair there was unpleasant, and when I asked the front desk, I was told it was a designated smoking area. I found this surprising and disappointing, as it’s an enclosed space everyone must pass through to access the baths. Especially since the bath was lovely itself. 

Overall, the hotel offers comfort, convenience, and friendly service, but the room layout and smoking policy around the onsen detract from the experience.

I'm very satisfied. For breakfast, I recommend arriving early to get a queue number. While the manga collection is entirely in Japanese, it's particularly appealing to those born in the 80s. Coffee and toiletries are provided in unlimited quantities. Overall, I had a great experience, and it's very suitable if you're traveling with children. I highly recommend it.

Location was abit ulu and not much shade was provided during the long walk under the hot sun.

Counter staff was able to speak bare minimum English.

I lost my adidas bucket hat at the lobby. I manage to retrieve it at the counter which the counter staff were so lovely in wrapping it in plastic bag the moment it was lost and found.

For solo travellers. Get the twin beds. The room is freaking huge with the sea view is just best.

Great location, just a 6-minute walk to the city center, and plenty of supermarkets, convenience stores, and good restaurants nearby! Highly recommend. The bed is large, but the room is a bit small, so you can only open one suitcase at a time. The amenities are diverse and good. No complimentary water though.
