The room we stayed is good enough and it has everything we need included. The location was convenient and hotel provided free shuttle bus to City gate Mall and Airport. It is  close to expo convention centre and easy access to High speed train and bus terminal Sky City stop. 

Nice gym room and 12th sky deck with in house go green.

The hotel is located next to the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin, offering great views. It's lovely to go for a run or a stroll along the river in the morning and evening. The room's cleanliness was acceptable, though it was very small, which is typical for Hong Kong. We forgot to bring a travel adapter, and unfortunately, the hotel didn't have any to lend or provide, so we couldn't charge our phones all night.

The hotel is directly connected to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) via a covered, air-conditioned walkway (just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal). That makes it ideal for late arrivals, early departures, or long layovers. I attempted to contact the hotel front desk on New Year’s Eve, but no one answered the phone. The check-in and check-out process was fast and efficient, which I appreciated.

The front desk staff were quite pleasant and patiently explained details about breakfast, the executive lounge, and more. My room was right off the elevator, which made it a bit noisy, but overall it was fine. They were also very quick to deliver disposable chopsticks when I called to ask for them.

The hotel's location is great, just a few minutes' walk to Victoria Harbour for boat trips or a stroll.

However, there were some less-than-ideal experiences. For example, our room was an executive room, which granted us access to the executive lounge. We visited twice over three days. On our second visit, a Southeast Asian-looking server asked us for our room card for a second verification. Firstly, you need to swipe your card to enter the lounge, and secondly, there were Caucasians in the lounge, so why were only we asked for re-verification? Is this extra discrimination against Chinese people? Do they think Chinese people can't afford executive floors and are just sneaking in for free food and drinks?

Speaking of the executive lounge, it's incomparable to executive lounges in mainland China. They offered two small sandwiches, two small dessert cakes, and on our first visit, some apples. Beyond that, there wasn't much else.

The breakfast restaurant had a decent variety, including rice noodles, regular noodles, pineapple buns, and fresh cut fruit. There was a high proportion of Indian dishes, like various types of Indian flatbreads or curries. But one thing was unpleasant: one morning, we went for breakfast and saw an empty sofa seat by the window. When we went to sit there, a server told us it was reserved. This was the first I'd ever heard of reserved seats in a hotel breakfast restaurant. Later, two Caucasians came in and sat there. It's been thirty years since the handover, but it seems some mindsets are still stuck in the past.

Hygienics: The towels were changed, but the trash wasn't emptied. I stayed for three nights, and it seems they only empty the trash on the last day after I check out. Is it for environmental reasons to save plastic bags? Is saving this particular bag so crucial? Did they consider the guest's feelings? Also, when a guest leaves, aren't the duvet covers supposed to be changed and washed? Can you believe there were still bloodstains on mine?

The hotel is located in the city center and close to shopping areas in Causeway Bay. It is also close to the Causeway Bay metro so it is easy to travel around Hong Kong. The hotel is clean, and Ms. Chalette, the staff member, was helpful throughout my registration. My room is on the 34th floor, close to the swimming pool. However, the pool is closed due to the weather. The gym is on the B2 floor, which is in the basement area. I haven’t checked the gym, though. To get to my room, I have to change the elevator on the 31st floor to another elevator.  The regular elevator is slow but the elevators from 31 to 34 are fast. My room is big with a high ceiling, and clean. There is a big bathtub in the room as well. The view is awesome which is Victoria Harbor and Victoria Park. However, the heater in the room didn’t work properly so it was always colder inside. Overall, except for the heater that didn’t work, and the slow elevator, I do enjoy my stay here. If it is not expensive, I might stay here again.

The Regal Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong is a 4-star hotel located in Kowloon City. This hotel offers incredible value! It's just a 7-8 minute walk to Kai Tak Sports Park, making it super convenient for attending events. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the staff are warm, attentive, and always willing to help. There are tons of great food options nearby, and getting around is easy. For Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, the value for money here is outstanding. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

Second time staying at this hotel. The breakfast is excellent and is the best part of the trip. The staff are also accommodating. It’s hard to communicate but as long as you have the translation app on your phone, it will work out. However, the amenities of the hotel is on the older side. They need to update it to become more modern. Bring your own toiletries as the ones they have are drying on the skin and hair. The air-conditioning was not working properly. Though they tried to fix it by wheeling in a portable AC. It still ran hot most days.

Environment: The hotel I stayed at during this business trip left a good impression. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bedding was soft, and it was quiet all night, allowing me, a light sleeper, to sleep soundly.

Facilities: The gym was well-equipped and spacious, and the meeting room was a suitable size with excellent equipment, making it ideal for holding meetings.

Service: The hotel staff were warm and attentive, and the robot food delivery service was thoughtful and convenient for my trip. The location was excellent, close to Jinqiao Metro Station, and a taxi ride back to Pudong Airport only took 30 minutes. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices, satisfying my need to get up early.
