Considering Hong Kong's prime real estate, getting this kind of accommodation at this price is really great! The triple room was spacious, the bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and it was quiet and clean. There is also an on-site restaurant, and we were given complimentary breakfast at check-in. Overall, a very satisfying stay!

Cons: The shower water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold at night.

Apologies, this review is long overdue, but it's one I absolutely had to write. I was incredibly happy to stay here again in August during the summer of 2026 – a place I've visited countless times. Hong Kong after the rain is truly unforgettable, with its beautiful sunset, dinner under the stars, the cruise ships docked in the bay, and the lights dotting the hillside. All of this made the stay absolutely wonderful. Seeing guests cook their own meals added a lovely touch of homey warmth and happiness. It was a very pleasant stay, and I want to thank everyone who works here – the gentle front desk staff and the skilled drivers. A special thanks to the strong gentleman at the front desk who lent me his umbrella when it was raining, trusting me to return it at another store. It was a delightful experience. I will definitely bring my family or friends here at some point in the future to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful time. My sincerest thanks again to all the staff here. I also want to encourage all guests to kindly observe the rules and regulations so we can all work together to make this place even better. Even now, thinking back on it still makes me incredibly happy.

Rooms and facilities are in good condition, tidy and mostly clean. Located in a lush green area, staff have done everything they can to keep out mosquitoes and other insects throughout their premises. This hostel is located at the end of the dam of the Plover Cove Reservoir where it meets the foothills of Pat Sin Leng at the Village of Tai Mei Tuk, making it the most convenient place to stay for hiking, cycling and water sports in the area. Barbeque sites right next to the hostel and numerous food options available in the area. There are frequent minibus service and bus service (20C, 75K) connecting the hostel to Tai Po downtown in 30-40 minutes.

We stayed in the tent for three nights. Upon arrival we had contact via a text message, since no one would be there to welcome us. We had to make the beds ourselves.

We weren’t really sure if the bathroom was cleaned during our stay. The sinks were dirty and crusty.

Some positive things: the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and everything you need to cook. The common room is basic, but nice. There’s a tv available. Outside, there are grills for BBQ and many seats. The location is nice and secluded, it’s also a perfect place if you’re hiking the Lantau Peak Trail.

Good to note: the village and all stores close at around 5:30 pm. Make sure to buy your groceries beforehand or get something before it’s too late.

We had an incredible stay. Peter, the host, was friendly and helpful. He goes above and beyond to make people feel comfortable and relaxed. The place has a great atmosphere, so laidback and friendly and stunning views. The cooking facilities are great. Be sure to bring enough ingredients to cook with! No shops near by or food options, but thi adds to the tranquility if you’re prepared. My only negative is the disposable bedding! It would be much better environmentally and for comfort to have was hable sheets.

Clean and hygienic, the store has a good service attitude, and there are cooking utensils for guests to cook by themselves. Because it rained, the store was late, but the store was still waiting. The only downside is that it is a little far from the exit of the second section of the Macleod Trail.

I stayed here for 5 nights early last month. First of all, the location is really good. It's a twenty-minute walk from must-see attractions like the British Museum, and a thirty-minute walk to Euston train station (I consider anything under a half-hour walk 'walking distance'). It's also close to Great Portland St and Regents Park tube stations.

I was in an 8-bed female dorm. The restrooms are outside the room. They were cleanest right after being cleaned in the afternoon and dirtiest before check-out in the morning. There's a decent-sized pantry downstairs, and I saw quite a few people cooking. I also used it twice to boil water for instant noodles.

Free luggage storage after check-out was a great bonus.

It's a budget accommodation in one of the most expensive cities in the world, so not much should be expected.
The location is perfect, and the hostel is easy to find. Their reception is 24/7, and I've personally checked in quite late (after 8pm). However, this process took very long. I'm not sure why, but the booking made through Trip.com was almost impossible to be found by the receptionist, and I waited about 30-45 minutes for them to find me on their systems. I was then given a keycard to be able to access the building and the room.
The women's only room I was allocated was downstairs from the entrance... A semi-basement kind of room? There were some tall windows facing the street that cars' lights would come through every now and then, and you could hear pedestrians walking by too. By comparison, I didn't find the bells of St Paul that bothersome.
The facilities were old. The communal bathroom that I had to use (before I realised the room itself had its own bathroom) was disgusting. I wish the beds had some sort of curtain, and that the doors made less noise when opened/closed because everytime someone arrived in the middle of the night or got up in the morning it was loud enough to wake you.
In all fairness, for the price I can't fault this place too much.

This place was well cleaned and maintained good customer service at any time. I will highly recommend this place for any kind of trip. The main thing is there is a separate luggage room to keep our luggage there even before checkin and after checkout which makes most of the Travellers feel free which is highly maintained with security service. Even they have each and every amenities in their common kitchen which you can just buy things what you need after that you can cook and enjoy your meal.

Brilliantly situated YHA in London with affordable private rooms, cafe, bar, communal kitchen, lounge, clean rooms and comfy beds.

About a 30minute scenic walk to Tower Bridge, an excellent location for budget travellers.

Enjoyed my stay. The hostel is located close to the train/underground station, has amazing view outside the window. I stayed in a 4-bed room but only shared with one other female during my entire stay. Staff members were friendly and helpful.

Surprisingly good! It’s super convenient to get here from the airport, train station, or by bus—no matter how you travel. The light rail station is just a few meters from the front door, taking you straight anywhere. The cleanliness is top-notch. I asked the front desk for a quiet lower bunk, and they did their best to accommodate me. My roommates were also very considerate and quiet. Aside from it being a bit warm and the mattress a bit too soft, everything was great. For luggage storage, there are both paid and free options; the free lockers allow you to use your own small padlock, which made me feel very secure both in the room and at the storage area. A hairdryer can be borrowed from the front desk by registering, to be returned within half an hour. I only stayed for one night, but I never had to wait in line for the shower or toilet—I could go whenever I needed, which was fantastic. They also screen movies every night, creating a great atmosphere. I didn't try the food here, but everything looked very well-organized. A thoroughly pleasant night!

The Opera House-view king room was excellent. I requested an Opera House view and morning sun into the room when booking, and that is exactly what I got — the Opera House outside the window, and sunlight coming in at dawn.
The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It felt worth it. Staff clearly read the request and arranged it properly, which I appreciated.
Happy to recommend if you want the view and morning light.
