This hotel experience was absolutely fantastic, five stars! It's very close to Erhai Airport and offers a free pick-up service, making transportation super convenient. The hotel boasts stunning views; you can admire the beautiful Erhai Lake right from your room. The service is incredibly attentive, with staff who are warm and thoughtful. The biggest surprise was the dining: the homemade breakfast was prepared with great care, the afternoon tea was exquisite, and they thoughtfully provided complimentary fruit and cake, all of which tasted excellent. Room service was also very prompt, making for a truly comfortable stay. In summary, the environment, service, and dining are all impeccable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dali, and I will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

This stay is the best. The owner is a great human, from greeting us to taking care of anything you need to keep providing us with plenty of drinking water, all the recommendations you need he has got it all, even with the language barrier, he tried his best to communicate which really counts as efforts and how a place makes you feel.
The room we stayed in had a great view of Cangshan Mountain, the balcony is just a cherry on top.
You can get a full 360° view from the rooftop with amazing sunrise views.
The location is very convenient. You can walk to all the good stops or take an electric vehicle from the stay itself as they have it available if you need it.
There’s washing machine on the rooftop incase you need to do the laundry.
Overall we had a really comfortable time here, we will definitely come back here.
10/10 recommended.

JennifercatThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Dali. As someone who's very particular about cleanliness, I was completely satisfied with the hygiene. The environment is also wonderful; our room had large French windows with a beautiful view of the flowers and greenery outside. The service was exceptional too; the staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel very comfortable. On our last night, we were told that the alarm bell was accidentally triggered, and they even gave us a souvenir as an apology – though we hadn't heard a thing, we were sleeping so soundly! 🤣 The little gift was also very thoughtful, including a cute elephant, a fridge magnet, and two packs of roses!
The hotel's location is excellent. Although it's not inside the Ancient City, it's not far – about a 20-minute walk to the South Gate. However, the advantage is the great environment and tranquility, plus it's convenient for taking taxis. A taxi to the South Gate of the Ancient City costs around 11 yuan, and we primarily used taxis, so it was perfect for us! Previously, when we stayed inside the Ancient City in Lijiang, I actually found it less convenient. One day, during a heavy downpour, taxis could only drop us off at the city gate, and we had to walk back to our guesthouse in the rain. Staying outside means taxis can drop you directly at the hotel entrance.
Finally, I'd say for Lijiang and Dali, it's always better to choose a hotel over a guesthouse; guesthouses often fall short in many aspects. 😅

CC_0905An absolutely wonderful hotel! It's located right in the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient to walk to all the attractions. Yet, it's a rare find that manages to be peaceful amidst the hustle and bustle; you can't hear any street noise once you're inside. The facilities are complete, and the interior design is elegant and serene, making you naturally want to slow down, enjoy a cup of tea, and read a book. The service is gentle and thoughtful; the butlers were very responsive to our requests. They arranged our transfers and private tours perfectly. They also carefully confirmed meal reminders, housekeeping, and even bedtime desserts with us every day. And the choices they offered were abundant! From the daily breakfast dishes to everyday beverages and the brands of toiletries, there were so many high-quality options, making each day an exciting and interesting experience. Looking forward to coming back!

Guest UserWe had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, modern, and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The room service was prompt, efficient, and attentive, with the staff always happy to help. One feature we particularly appreciated was the pillow menu, which offered different types of pillows to suit individual sleeping preferences and made our stay even more comfortable.
The fitness centre was also well equipped, with a good variety of machines and equipment, making it easy to keep up with our workout routine while travelling.
Overall, this is a comfortable and well-managed hotel with excellent service and facilities. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Dali.

sjie1118The B&B's location is fantastic; you can drive right up to the entrance, and getting around is super convenient. It's just a short walk west to the old town's core, but the soundproofing is excellent, so it truly offers a peaceful retreat despite being in a lively area. The owner has great taste and an eye for aesthetics. The courtyard is spotless, and they offer a breakfast set. Guests are also very considerate. For this location and price, it's definitely a good deal. Highly recommended!
However, in summer, you do need to be mindful of humidity and mosquitoes. But the owner provided mosquito repellent and an electric mosquito swatter, and surprisingly, we had no issues at all at night. We even turned mosquito hunting into a fun game, which my kid absolutely loved!

Guest UserThis hotel perfectly met our expectations! The courtyard is absolutely beautiful, and the surrounding area is lively with easy access to taxis and restaurants. It's also close to the pedestrian street, yet the hotel itself remains wonderfully quiet. The owner is incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. They have a washing machine but no dryer, so if you plan on doing laundry, I'd recommend bringing quick-drying clothes as they'll be dry overnight. It rained every day during our stay, and cotton items would probably take two days to dry. We stayed for five nights with our child, and our little one never got bored, often strolling in the courtyard or playing with the cats. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Dali.

Our 'butler service' means you get a dedicated butler providing one-on-one service from the moment you check in. They'll contact you in advance to confirm your arrival time, arrange shuttle pick-up, and send friendly reminders about breakfast times and other important notes via group chat.
Facilities: The hairdryer's airflow is really weak, not even as strong as the wind off Erhai Lake! The bedside lamp isn't working, but everything else is okay.
Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and no strange smells – pretty good.
Environment: The space is large and bright. My only complaint is the view from the window isn't great.
Service: The service is excellent; anything we needed was delivered to the room very quickly, and the breakfast tasted good.
Honestly, the view from the guest room window is quite disappointing.

Guest UserDali Hotel, Take Three: Living in an Underwater World!
Bringing the kids to Dali and fulfilling their dream of an underwater room! 🌊
I’ve put together a super honest guide to our stay! I'll cover prices, floor choices, hidden costs, and food and drink, so first-timers can just copy this plan!
💰 Room Prices & Floor Pitfalls
▪️ Standard Rooms: 400-600 RMB/night
No underwater view, great value for money if you just need a place to stay.
▪️ Underwater View Rooms: 1600-1900 RMB/night
Prices vary by floor, and here’s the key thing to avoid!
❌ Definitely don’t choose the 1st floor!
The floor is too low, the window is quite small, you can only see corals and small bottom-dwelling fish. Photos turn out very ordinary, and the experience is poor.
✅ Go for the 2nd floor first! Best value for money overall!
The price is moderate, the viewing window is super large, and the view is expansive. You’ll get great photos effortlessly. Call the front desk in advance to reserve a room with a good view. We stayed in room 8220, and the view was quite good.
⭕ The 3rd floor is slightly more expensive.
The view isn't significantly different from the 2nd floor. If you're looking for value, just go for the second floor.
⚠️ Charged Activities
The mermaid and golden storm performances, which used to be free, are now all charged! 200 RMB per show.
Other self-funded interactive activities:
▫️ Touching dolphins for a photo: 100 RMB
▫️ Feeding seals: 50 RMB
▫️ Feeding penguins: 100 RMB
✅ Perks Worth Praising
Booking a room includes a complimentary diving experience 🤿. There are no hidden secondary charges, which is really thoughtful!
🍜 Food and Drink
▫️ The mini-bar in the room has a rich variety of snacks and drinks, all free of charge.
▫️ There are very few restaurants around the hotel. If you want a proper meal, you'll need to take a taxi for about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can order takeout or dine at the hotel.
▫️ The hotel’s own breakfast is of good quality, and the à la carte dishes in the restaurant are also very reasonably priced.
(It’s advisable to order takeout in advance, as delivery times can be quite long.)
Many people think almost 2000 RMB for one night is expensive. But seeing the kids pressed against the window, watching the underwater world with eyes full of surprise and wonder ✨, makes all the expenses feel super worth it! A true fairy-tale experience exclusively for children! 👧🏻
