Guest UserStepping into Liao Ju, I was immediately struck by the sophisticated yet elegant decor. Every detail, from the fixtures to the furnishings, clearly showcases the owner's meticulous care and refined taste.
The location is absolutely unbeatable. Relaxing in the pavilion feels like being enveloped by a breathtaking landscape painting of mountains and sea. With the lush Cangshan mountains at its back and the crystal-clear Erhai Lake stretching out in front, the air is fresh and the views are enchanting. It truly is a place that makes you want to linger.
The room was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. My overall experience was fantastic!

I specifically chose Xunshan B&B for this trip and was absolutely not disappointed. The overall experience was perfect. It's the most comfortable and therapeutic guesthouse I've ever stayed at in this area.
The location of the B&B is fantastic, built into the mountainside. The environment is serene and quiet, far from the hustle and bustle of the street. As soon as you step outside, you're greeted with lush green mountains and forests. The air is fresh, and in the mornings and evenings, a gentle breeze rustles through the mountains. The sounds of birds and the fragrant flowers create an incredible atmosphere. The overall decor is a warm, natural wood, therapeutic style – simple yet tasteful. The common areas are thoughtfully arranged; the courtyard is neat and elegant, with lounge chairs and green landscaping. Sitting there, sipping tea, enjoying the breeze, daydreaming, and soaking up the sun is incredibly relaxing, perfect for a slow-paced vacation.
The room itself was clean and tidy, with impeccable hygiene. Every corner, under the bed, and the bathroom were spotless. The layout is well-designed, spacious, and airy, with excellent natural light and ventilation. The soft furnishings are especially cozy – warm lighting, soft bedding, and high-quality textiles make for a very comfortable stay. The soundproofing is also good, so it's quiet and peaceful at night, allowing for a very restful sleep. All essential amenities are provided; the toiletries are of good quality, there's ample hot water, and stable water pressure. Attention to detail is evident everywhere.
The owner and staff are incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and attentive. The service is thoughtful without being intrusive; they are gentle and friendly. Any requests are promptly addressed, and they even offer helpful recommendations for local attractions and eateries without being pushy, making for a very comfortable interaction.
Waking up to the mountain breeze and birdsong in the morning, with layers of mountain views outside the window, and enjoying the sunset glow in the evening – it's a perfect escape from the anxiety and superficiality of city life. Here, there's no need to rush your itinerary; just slow down and embrace the slow-paced mountain life. The environment, hygiene, service, and value for money are all top-notch – it's gentle and therapeutic. Whether you're traveling solo, on a romantic getaway, or just need a short break, it's absolutely perfect. I've already quietly saved it and will definitely choose to stay here again next time. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

Guest User12 Clouds was every bit the promotional photos had presented — a rare thing. The view of Erhai Lake is really awesome and definitely one of the highlights of this hotel. My family of three had a great time waking up to the panoramic view before heading to breakfast every morning.
Which brings us to the food — another highlight for us. The breakfast was so good that we wanted to have dinner there as well on our final night. One minor peeve though. We were entitled to a free dinner set for having stayed three nights but the staff informed us only over WeChat about this. Frustrating as we actually preordered two dishes in the morning of our last night. We ended up having too much food — thankfully, there was another family to share the food.
Other highlights:
Location - Right by the banks of Erhai on top of an elevation within a gated compound called Dali Condominiums Phase II or 大理公馆 (二期). Despite the private location, you can easily Didi for a ride to anywhere in the city.
Room - Spacious with good amenities. Awesome VOD system on there if you understand Chinese. There are Hong Kong drama serials available.

Pros: Great location, new rooms, good privacy, and enthusiastic staff.
Areas for improvement:
1. The hotel needs to clarify its positioning. If it's a high-end family-friendly hotel, then the kids' programs need to be well-developed to keep children engaged. If it's positioned as a high-end resort for adults, then there should be clear restrictions on young children to ensure public areas, including restaurants, remain quiet and orderly. For a hotel at this price point, the environment should meet guests' expectations.
2. Improve accessibility for self-driving guests. All three roads leading in and out of the hotel are single-lane, making it incredibly difficult to pass oncoming vehicles. My car was scratched on the way out.
3. Service details need improvement. One day, we returned to our room at 1 PM to find it hadn't been cleaned. On another day, around 3 PM, we found standing water on the bathroom floor – I'm not sure how the cleaning staff managed that. We had three people staying, but only ever received two bath towels. The restaurant staff lacked experience and weren't attentive enough. When settling the bill, they never asked if I had any discount vouchers (which resulted in me paying full price for 4 out of 5 meals, charged to the room, and non-modifiable).

MixiongI found this hotel in Dali on Trip.com for our family trip to Yunnan. We drove from Kunming to Dali, and the Kunchu-Dali Expressway was easy to navigate, though the tolls were a bit pricey, over a hundred yuan. Once we arrived in Dali, we followed the navigation on National Highway 214 and found the hotel easily. It's located on the downhill slope of Cangshan Mountain, directly facing Erhai Lake. You can see Erhai Lake from the room and enjoy the fresh air of Cangshan. Check-in was straightforward; the front desk already had our room ready. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade this time. Our room was on the second floor and had a balcony. Sitting on the balcony, sipping tea, chatting, and enjoying the breeze was absolutely delightful. The room was clean and tidy. We booked a twin room, and the beds were very large, easily accommodating three people. There was also a big sofa in the room that could be used as an extra bed. The room was bright, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing us to sleep in every day. The hotel breakfast cost 98 yuan per person; we tried it, and it was decent. There aren't many entertainment facilities at the hotel, so if you're looking for that, you might want to consider elsewhere. The hotel offers an electric shuttle service to the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple and the Cangshan Gate of Dali Ancient City, but we didn't get to use it this time. The reason was that the hotel only has one shuttle, and it was already booked when we wanted to use it. We would have had to wait an hour. So, in the end, we had to take a taxi to the Ancient City. Also, the sliding door in the bathroom of our room couldn't close properly, leaving a large gap that let in light. On the bright side, the hotel provided a complimentary shawl, free mini-bar drinks, and welcome fruit, which was a nice touch. Despite a few minor flaws, I would still choose this hotel again for my next visit.

MianhuatangYYWe drove there, and there are parking spaces on the ground, plus a large underground parking lot. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the old town, so you'll need a taxi or car to get there, which is a bit far. There's an indoor pool open from 7 AM to 10 PM. We went swimming at noon, and it wasn't crowded. There's also a play area for small children and a gym for fitness enthusiasts, which is great – perfect for relaxing at the hotel after a day of activities. The bonfire party was also lively, from 8 PM to 9 PM, and the elderly enjoyed dancing.

This is my second time staying in this hotel. When I was leaving, I chatted with the owner and she told me that I also stayed there on the same day last year. What a wonderful coincidence!
I stayed here last year and it was very good. I mainly liked the health programs and organic breakfast here. It is very close to the Caspian Sea. I was too lazy to make a guide this time so I stayed here again. The bed was very comfortable, the quilt was soft, the bathroom was clean and spacious, but the faucet was a little difficult to adjust, and the water rushed too fast and it was a bit painful. Everything else is good, the child said he would stay here again next time.
40-minute back healing SPA: The free program was very comfortable, there was no sales pitch, and the service was done very seriously.

The hotel's style is really unique and authentically local, which was a big plus for us foreigners visiting Dali. We absolutely loved it. The room was super comfortable, especially the extra-large and luxurious bathroom with its big bathtub. Overall, our stay here was incredibly pleasant; even during the Spring Festival, it never felt crowded. What's more, the location is fantastic – right next to the ancient city wall, which means you avoid the hustle and bustle inside the old town. The vibe was just right. It's also the closest place to park near the ancient city entrance, making transportation very convenient. Oh, and I really enjoyed the coffee at breakfast; I even went to check the brand of beans and ended up buying the same kind when I got home! 😻
