Hotels with Breakfast in El Segundo

I booked this hotel for a layover in Los Angeles. They offer a free airport shuttle, but be aware: there are two Hilton Garden Inns near the airport. For *this* one, you need to call the hotel for a pickup, whereas the other one doesn't require a call. After collecting your luggage, head to the 'hotel parking' area and look for the red sign. Call the hotel, tell them which terminal you're at, and provide your name and phone number. They'll send a car to pick you up within 15-30 minutes. (Initially, we got on a Hilton Garden Inn shuttle at the red sign, only to find out it wasn't the correct hotel when we arrived!) Bottled water in the room costs extra, but there's complimentary iced water available in the lobby. There's also a small convenience store. Rooms don't come with toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers. About a 10-minute walk away, there's a commercial area with an In-N-Out Burger and a 7-Eleven. Remember to book in advance, as prices tend to increase closer to the date.

I slept like a baby here! At first I found it a bit dark in the room but it was very comfy. Their reception was very accomodating and even helped me print out documents I needed for work. The free popcorn in the lobby was definitely a plus! The only down side was they forgot to put a hairdryer in my bathroom so I had to call them to request one but they brought it up right after. The location is also superb right next to a lot of food options, Walgreens, and Ralph’s.

The staff on the reception desk were very welcoming and friendly. The location was fine for our airport travels with free shuttle to the airport and back.  Positives Free breakfast - Very tasty Free happy hour with nibbles and alcoholic beverages (5.30-7pm) Staff very friendly  Negatives Room were a bit dated - example - flaky paint in the bath room, (but clean) A luggage storage for more than one day would have been appreciated as we were returning to this hotel for an extra night on our return from our 5 day trip. This would have saved us the hassle of taking an extra case and the cost of $80 on the flight
