Sunnybank Hotel Brisbane

Really enjoyed a few lunches at the hotel lately. We have a member of our family though who is Vegan and strictly dairy-free. It would be wonderful if the pub could consider some more Vegan-Friendly options on the menu as it would certainly provide us with a reason to return more often. In this day and age not everyone can eat meat or dairy. The Buddha Bowl is something healthier they offer and it was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately we ordered the Margherita Pizza on the Order At Table on mobile functionality it stated this Pizza came with Vegan cheese. We thought that was great. Of course the pizza came with regular cheese and I had to check with the staff who apologised and said that no, there was no vegan cheese on premises. They were very polite but it was disappointing that both the online menu was wrong, and that this fairly simple alternative wasn't on offer. Hopefully we see some more plant-based options on the menu in the future! The kids meals are great value.

The hotel has the potential to be good but for me, it missed the mark. I can overlook the decor as I feel this can be a personal thing. The room itself is satisfactory - the bed was a king, shower pressure was excellent, had a small fridge and ironing board. The airconditioner is good (but noisy) and there is a lot of light that comes in from the main corridor at night (tip: put a towel against the door to block the lightl). I requested a quiet room and one away from the elevator. Unfortunately I got a room next to the elevator and the room directly opposite me had music playing which I could hear from my room. Most rooms seem to look out on to the carpark/entrance. During the middle of the night (1am/2am) people would sit out the front and have a cigarette but the conversation could be heard from the room. Overall, I found it to be very noisy and disruptive to sleep (which is very important to me).Very limited food options from the hotel but if you have Uber Eats, there are lots of food place near by. Would I stay here again - not at this stage.

We had to find an apartment to stay for a couple of weeks while our house had some work done to it. I am so glad that I canned Airbnb and looked around the brisbane area and found Hotel Chino. Reasonably priced, well located, restaurant on site, EXCELLENT staff (so helpful, friendly). We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was spacious, clean, neat and had all the required amenities and supplies. If we needed something, Woolworths is literally a couple 100m down the road. I also loved the on-site parking. I recommend this hotel for anyone, but especially family! Highly recommend

I stayed here for 6 nights for a training course nearby. I was impressed overall. Room was clean, wifi was very fast with a strong signal and the room relatively was quiet, despite being near a busy main road. Rooms included a pod coffee machine too, with coffee pods free of charge from reception. Walking distance from Rocklea railway station (which is temporarily closed but has stationlink buses to to the next station up the line). Only minor quibble was that reception was sometimes closed earlier than the published hours. I would happily stay here again.

Very good, convenient, the restaurant tastes good, the rooms are clean and tidy, it is recommended, it is more convenient if you drive by yourself. There is a bar at the door, and there are delicious food around.

Couldn’t even bring myself to sleep here even 1 night, the smell of dog pee on the carpets was vile..To be completely honest I went into the bathroom and told my husband if I were to shower here I’m going to the nearest woolworths and buying bleach to bleach down the shower (soap scum and shower muck) everywhere. Still didn’t have a shower there ! And if that wasn’t to top it off we went to the kitchen to put food away the fridge was dirty. Got a plate out of the cupboard to eat and it wasn’t even cleaned properly... very disappointed (as the photos on the internet showed a clean motel room) not what we arrived too...
