Great location, convenient access to the area. The room furnishings are older, and could use an update.
The bathrooms as well.
They do NOT provide shampoo in the room, be due to bring your own.

It does have a nice hotel lobby and the staff were helpful... But there are some rooms for improvement. The rooms are spacious but lacking some basic amenities that we should expect from a 3* hotel. For example, coffee and tea facilities and a glass for brushing teeth. The fridge was also very noisy when it's on. I had to unplug it for sleep. The breakfast costs 30 Reais extra, not much for a buffet breakfast but the quality wasn't great. If the cafes were open outside the hotel, maybe they are better options. The chairs in breakfast bar also need some cleaning, lots of marks from spillage. I guess one problem could be that the hotel seems to have many kids (at the night of my stay anyway). Luckily, they didn't cause me much problem.

Matiz Barao Geraldo Hotel is a friendly, well-situated hotel within Barao Geraldo. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Breakfast is good. The one weakness is that the safes do not seem to work or work well.

Very Good Price, very clean rooms with A/C, the staff was polite and helpful. The breakfast was great, and well made. Close to many conveniences, gas, food, beer. Felt very safe the entire time. For any American visitors, I would recommend.

My first time visiting Brazil from the US: Very friendly and helpful staff, who spoke English where my Portuguese was lacking. Everything was great except that I did not bring my own shampoo and conditioner, and the front desk did not have any to give me or sell to me. Also the toilets say not to put trash into them, but does that include toilet paper? (Yes, that includes toilet paper)

O meu colchão estava com defeito e isso me causou uma forte dor nas costas; o travesseiro de tecido sintético não é bom de dormir, porque faz um certo rangido; o café da manhã é de boa qualidade e os funcionários são muito simpáticos e atendem com muita educação.
