It is a good resort for families.

The service was terrible.
There were hardly any Asians.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
The location is right in front of the bus stop, so you can easily go downtown.
You will need to arrange a shuttle bus or taxi from the airport.

Hated having to move on a Saturday 2 nights into a 6 day stay due to it not being a hotel but a timeshare establishment.
Need a lobby bar for pre dinner drinks not a noisy sports bar

this hotel had no night life. everything closed early by 10pm. With an all inclusive package we still had to pay for certain specialty alcohol drinks at each meal. at each meal even with a wristband you still had to provide your room key for your server to hold and at the each of the meal they would bring you a receipt even if it was a $0.00 total- waste of paper and our time.

The staff was excellent. The Beach, and pool were great. But, if you are younger. There is no night life. Not even close by. Everything shuts down fairly early. When we checked in. We were pressured to attend a timeshare meeting. We were coming off a long day of travel. And, she wanted us to commit to a 90 minute presentation. We, said we didn't want to commit. Later that evening, she cornered us again. Hard Sell. It was a complete turn off. Spent the rest of our stay trying to avoid her. We were also harassed by an owner (of timeshare). This was very disturbing. And, for those two reasons. I would not go there again, nor recommend, The Royal Sands. Again, the staff were amazing. Not for the younger people, who want to really enjoy yourself. And stay up past 10pm. Mostly families, lots and lots of retired people who judged us for trying to have a trip of a lifetime. Frankly we left, feeling like we got cheated.

This was my 3rd visit in 5years. Loved the friendly personal service, cleanliness, and the location, and spaciousness of the hotel.
Disliked the fact that there were fewer waiters than in past visit.
