The hotel: I will start by saying I was extremely nervous of the review regarding stolen money in their room and initially was nervous about booking. Let me ease your mind- I am a photographer and brought my laptop and gear and nothing was disturbed. In general, be smart- lock up items and use the do not disturb if you don't want anyone in your room. Do not leave money out or it could be considered a tip for service. They are respectful of your space. The concierge and check in were very kind and accomodating. Even when I lost by keycard at breakfast today. They made a new one without issue. The spa is amazing and I highly recommend it. I got the "works" so to speak complete with massage, body scrub, facial, and foot massage complete with lunch and tea. It was a very relaxing experience. I even booked another before heading to the airport in anticipation of my 17 hour flight back home. Tobago's Restaurant- The food is good- but pales in comparison to the service, attentiveness, and kind heart of Nadia Hoorn. She is such a light and wonderful person. Each night, it felt as if we were dining and being taken care of by family at home than in a restaurant at a hotel. I loved learning about her and within a week of being here, considered her family and friend. I hope any that read this, make it a point to visit Tobago's just to feel the rays of hospitality she exudes. Overall, this was an excellent trip with amazing staff and service. If we ever have the chance to visit South Africa again, we will definitely stay again.
