Hotel Goldene Traube

I stayed at this hotel numerous times when it was under the Romantik Hotel umbrella. It has since changed hands, and it shows. I should start with a positive. The staff is excellent. Unfortunately, the front desk is not staffed until 3:00. The rooms are beginning to look very shabby. The bathrooms are still great. There are sodas and water in the refrigerator to drink without cost. The breakfast was really mediocre. There was a large selection of dry cereal, but the cheese and cold cut selection was limited, pale, and unappetizing. The fruit was equally disappointing. The hot food was ordinary. Most annoying was that one has to get coffee from a machine. If there is a tour group, there are pots of coffee. Otherwise, one has to get coffee yourself from a machine, and fiddling with a machine is one thing that I do not want to do first thing in the morning. In order to attract a young ”hip” clientele, the new owners are being cute, and I *hate* cute. The do not disturb signs read ”Rabies area. Wild animals is room!” and ”Danger! I am sleeping” There is also a cutesy thing about the staff wearing red shoes. Not an issue for me, but because the hotel is several buildings combined, there are several short flights of stairs. To end with some more positives, the hotel is a short walk from the train station and there are several nice, local restaurants nearby.
Hotel Garni - Haus Gemmer

The hotel is centrally located a kilometre north of the old town on the foot of the West Coburg. The rooms offer enough comfort for a short stay, the staff is very nice, the tasty breakfast buffet does not open wishes (included in the overnight price) and there is a disgusted (free) Parking in front of the house - all at a reasonable price. We are happy to come back! On my travel website toeightycountries.com read more about Coburg with its numerous attractions.
Best Western Blankenburg Hotel

We always visit different cities for a few days. In Coburg we stayed in the Best Western and were pleasantly surprised. The room was very quiet and the beds were good. The breakfast concept with the pre-ordered breads appeared strange at first, but it convinced us fully, as there can be a very flexible re-disposition. The staff at the reception and breakfast room are very premature, friendly and helpful. Thank you again for great tips from the reception.
Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Coburg

The hotel is located on the edge of Coburg, about 20 minutes walk to the city centre. The hotel is ok in itself, unfortunately the staff (reception and service) was not optimal with me. When cleaning, I'm not sure if it is made daily, because on the ground you could see dirt of several days. I was there several days too. The Vienna Easy in Cobrug is completely disconnected from service and friendliness, for example, against the house in Günzburg.
Ibis Styles Coburg

I enjoyed the stay here as the room is very new and clean. The bed is very comfortable. My room was facing the train track, so when I opened the window, I could hear the occasional noise from the passing train. Otherwise, it was peaceful when the window was closed. The location of the hotel is good as it is less than 10 minutes walk to Marktplatz, which is the city center. The breakfast has a nice selection of eggs, cold cuts, cheese, bread, etc. They are freshly prepared and replenished regularly.
