Very convenient, there is an airport transfer. There is nothing nearby, there is a simple breakfast, the Chinese can accept. The bed was very comfortable, the room was large, the facilities were quite complete, but it was very old. The price is really not expensive.

Arrived to my room and realized I didn't get the room I booked 5 months ago. I went to the front desk and only then was I told they were overbooked and the I could not have the 2 double bed room and could only get a room with a pullout. They could have/should have told me that at check in. Tara told me there was nothing they could do. Finally she told me that since I used a corporate rate they could do nothing about the rate (which is NOT true), but she could give me points towards a future Marriott stay, so I had no choice and apparently them overbooking was my problem. So I agreed and she asked me if we needed anything. I told her that since we now have a pullout I would like an extra blanket for the pullout which she said she would have delivered to the room. We left the hotel shortly thereafter to go to the concert. When I arrived back at 11:45pm, I found that not only was the blanket never delivered, but there were NO sheets for the pullout. I called the front desk. He told me that he could get the sheets and blanket, but I would have to come get them, and not to come for 15 minutes. Really? So, I went down and waited for someone to show up at the front desk. Finally a saw the gentlemen I spoke to sitting in a chair in the back room at a desk on his phone. I asked him if anyone was getting sheets for me. He told me he was just about to do that. Really??? So he went to get them. After about 5 minutes he returned. No blanket. I asked him where the blanket was. He said ”right here”. I said no, that is a mattress protector, not a blanket. He said ”oh, come with me and I'll get you one”. So on the way to the housekeeping room he said ”I only saw some old brown blanket, do you want that?” Really??? So he handed me the old brown blanket that I'm pretty sure was made of sandpaper, and I returned to my room. So this is the service you get at Marriott? I was quickly reminded why I almost exclusively stay at Hilton properties. Additionally, the HVAC in the rooms barely works. I had it set at 67 all night and it never cooled off. This huge hotel was overbooked, and they have one person on staff for the entire place. What a disappointment.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was VERY comfortable. The breakfast had one of the best waffle stations I have ever experienced. The location is less than 10 minutes from some of downtown Columbus’s best restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great to see the improvements that Sonesta has made at this hotel. We have stayed here in the past and this was an improved experience for sure. Assistance at the front desk was good. When requested to make a change in my room it was facilitated without any problem. Rooms are well equipped and spacious. Quality of WIFI in the hotel is good. With 2 elevators you can get up and down quickly enough. It is nice to see that the inhouse bar / restaurant has remained. Good menu and options. The morning breakfast is Okish; not really worth the money at the moment. So definately room for improvement here. All together a good hotel to stay if you are in Columbus!

The hotel is connected to the convention center through a eating area. They provide free breakfast and a ”snack” at 5:30 with drinks that probably works as a meal for many. Checking in and out were easy and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were good sized with clean bathrooms. A microwave and small fridge were in the room. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature could be easily adjusted. Would stay here again.

How can I summarize the wonderful experience at this hotel?! Well to begin, the valet staff is a great team of people. I was helped by Taylor, who had a great personality and was such a warm welcome for the weekend. The front desk was swift, kind, and accommodating, and they provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities! The rooms were clean… but if I must be honest, the hotel could benefit from a little updating here and there. I know it’s an expensive ask, but in order to stand out in today’s world, that could be a huge plus! Other than that, everything was super!
