Room was very tired and right above the kitchen with the fan on from 6:20am to 10:30pm. Food was tasty and plentiful. Staff lovely. Views fantastic. Just a shame such a beautiful building is so run down. However, for the price it was ok. If renovations were done, I’m guessing the price would double.

Our wedding day was wonderful. It was only a small group of people but Odett gave us her full attention from when we booked through to the big day. Nothing was too much trouble and the day went without a hitch. Our room was lovely overlooking the gardens and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the maes manor as a wedding venue. Absolutely beautiful and would not change a thing.

We had our wedding day here on 15th June. Everything was perfect, from the moment we stepped into the hotel the day before until we left the day after the wedding the staff could not do enough for us. Odete the wedding planner really did go above and beyond with our requests and made sure everything ran smoothly. Emma the chef went out of her way to ensure meals were changed at the last minute due to changes in the wedding party. Every member of staff was just so lovely and helpful. The food was beautiful and given it was a big wedding everything was served hot. We couldn't have wished for a better day, it was everything we dreamed of and more. I would 100% recommend this hotel, think we may just have to have annual vow renewals just to do it all over again. Thank you all we had the best day ❤️

Maes manor is a beautiful building set in a magnificent ground. My daughter had her wedding there. I stayed in 2 rooms over 2 nights. 1 was a family room, the other was an executive double room with a four poster frame. Both these rooms although spacious were tired looking, the walls needed repainting in both rooms, skirtings needed repainting and cleaning. The furniture was dated and old. The bathrooms need retiling the bath in the family room has had a bad job of waterproofing around it. These rooms could be spectacular if just a bit more care and maintenance was carried out. The prices charged warrant these updates. The wedding room looked pretty and well presented, and the tables looked fab.The food was served, vegatable soup soup was ok albeit lumpy, but children’s starters were largely left, fruit berries is not a choice that most kids like. The main course was a breast of chicken, overcooked cabbage a small carrot and cold mixed of peas and beans, very bland looking and tasting, one of the guests was a chef and didn’t touch his! As did most of the guests left there’s. Luckily my son who hadn’t eaten for a week, and who will eat anything demolished most of people’s left overs. The children’s sweet was to lumps of hard cake and a chocolate looking thing which none of the kids ate! They would have been better off with the adult profiteroles! The menu was a big let down, I could have done better and my cooking isn’t great! The evening do was ok, the room looked good the DJ was distant and had no emotion, if you see an empty dance floor put music on that you know will get people dancing, she done this once, then put un-danceable music on! So floor was cleared, I almost felt she wanted an easy night! The evening buffet was served and cleared with lightening speed, I didn’t even know that wedding cake was on the bar cut up! The last dance started to play for bride and groom without checking that they were in the room, they came running in after a guest went to get them by this time the dance was nearly over! Why would you do that? The wedding co-ordinator was fab and attentive but was gone by this time. The blonde lady behind the reception desk found it hard to crack a smile but the younger girl was fab and helpful. On the whole the venue is good but attention to detail, cosmetically and personal details/touches has got lost along the way, but despite this it was an enjoyable day. I’ve tried to write this review with honesty so that improvements can be made.

Visited the beautiful Maes Manor for a mid week roast this evening. As always, our meal was delicious and the service was excellent. Our plates were full, the meat was tender and there was an excellent selection of vegetables. Very attentive service from Ryan and Jacob.

We sometimes come here for a Sunday Lunch as it's by far the best value you'll find, it's all home cooked and you get loads, beef is lovely and everything cooked to perfection! Price is amazing as it's only about £11 or something, really can't fault it. We came recently for the two course 'mid week' roast on Wednesdays which they've just started doing, again all home.cooked, loads of it and I think it was main and desert for £14. Please check it out, book the mid week as it's much quieter and you won't be disappointed!!

We stayed here for two nights the night before our wedding and our wedding night We were put into the coach house Dragged all our cases up the stairs , then had to move rooms to the main building as the radiator was faulty and wouldn’t turn off and we were boiling For the money , the rooms need painting and the bathrooms need a revamp .shower was awful

We had our wedding at the Maes Manor in April of 2024 and can honestly say it was a day to remember, from the very start Odett helped us organise and plan all the details from start to finish including a few face to face meetings to ensure its exactly what we wanted. The staff and manager on the day were absolutely superb they couldn't have done anymore for us if they tried, they were tentative and polite and ensured the day ran smoothly, all our guests and family had a lovely time so we couldn't have asked for anymore from the venue, we will be returning soon for afternoon tea. Thanks to the whole team - Ryan & Lauren

As a party of 11 we celebrated a family Birthday with the Wednesday night Roast Deal last week. We were allocated a large table together at the back of the Restaurant . We found the service excellent and the food was great - plenty for all and really good quality. Everyone enjoyed their 2 courses and the waiting staff were professional , friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely evening for the family- would recommend - we have already booked for Christmas!
