I felt very uncomfortable on the site. I am a confident, well-travelled, mature female so this is not usual.
The site was likely a fine place for family travel in the 70s but needs a momentous upgrade both on the property and in the rooms.
The parking area had snow through much of it so it was evident only a few vehicles had been around. After checking in, the access was around the side (unshovelled) and through a keyed double door into a courtyard that was dim & unused. Both times I accessed my room I felt that someone could readily be lurking and there was no support if I encountered trouble.
After dinner out I returned to my room at 9:30 and again felt very uncomfortable.... such that I hardly slept and was up and packed by 8:00. The room was adequate but fading and I'm sure the bed was the original one!
I had booked for 2 nights and chose not to stay any longer. Unfortunately (because I booked through *******) the receptionist was not at all sympathetic to my concerns and said I would just have to pay for both nights even if I checked out.
Bottom line was $310 for one night!
