Don't ever fall for room number one, the kitchen extractor is outside the window, which wouldn't be so bad if it was decent double glazing but they seem to have fitted the only double glazing that doesn't keep out noise or keep in heat, which may not be so bad if they weren't on a main road with noisy traffic and an extractor like a jet engine. The food was average but more than average price. The first room I got, the lock didn't work, the curtains are tissue paper so most will wake at 6am and the TV is unfathomable. Impossible to get a programme out of, even Netfix which is allegedly on it. I drive trucks and my office books me into some cheapsh😄t places, this is worse than motorway services at a much higher price. If it's not raining, better to sleep in a field 😥

Great food, excellent service. Had lunch here yesterday and couldn't fault it. Portions were big and everything was extremely tasty. Fantastic value for money. Will definitely be coming back to sample more of the menu.

I stopped for breakfast and it was unreal! A lot of options on the menu, a lot of add on options which I like when it comes to breakfasts. Staff were very friendly. Was even given a paper to read when my order was taken. Food was lovely 👌

We only stayed one night but everything there was amazing. The room was small but had everything that we needed, the mattress was really comfortable and the shower was great. After we dropped our things into the room we had dinner, which was very tasty. We ordered the vol-au-vents and the leg of lamb roast. Which we are still talking about now. It was absolutely amazing. And also the pints of Guinness were top class. There was a problem with the electricity in the rooms, we ended up having no power for around an hour. But the staff more than made up for that small inconvenience. Completely out of their control of course! Special mention to Paddy, who went above and beyond to help us in anyway. Gave us free drinks while we waited in the bar that did have electricity, told us that there was a room free of charge in their sister hotel only 10 minutes away if the problem was not fixed within the hour, provided my partner with a private area with electricity so she could finish doing her hair and make up before our night out etc. Electricity came back on within the hour and they couldn't be more apologetic and accomodating for us. Will definitely be back again for our next trip to Killarney hopefully very soon! My partner even forgot her license in the hotel room and the hotel posted it back to her free of charge to save us driving a 4 hour round trip to get it back.

Unfortunately our stay turned out to be terribly disappointing. No hot water whatsoever, no TV connection, and exposed wires. Even the most basic camp site has hot water and to pay this price to have none at all is so wrong. Had to wait firstly more than half an hour for the hot water to be reset (lie) then told a plumber would work “all night” to fix it. Ho hum … more lies. We wasted a lot of our evening waiting for the leprechauns to fix the issue. What made everything so so much worse was the constant stream of lies from Paddy the manager (or owner?) re trying to fix the issue. All made up. Followed by phone calls and WhatsApp messages that we would receive some or all as a refund (he offered off his own bat). All absolute rubbish. Even told to stay by the phone all day as his “accountant” would call to get our bank number. What a liar - a slimy toad. This is not a new issue it turns out from the reviews but he acted conciliatory and that he was sorry. Many folk staying there this year have no hot water or TV. A 2 * establishment at very best. *********** has all the WhatsApp messages (why would you put the lies in writing!? ) and are chasing compensation (for the lies and deceitful behavior). Felt unclean being there - and not just because of no ability to shower. Staff were nice but miserable - no wonder. I recommended they keep the bar and restaurant open but shut down the hotel as have no care and no interest.

We chose to stay at the Kerryway as the prices were more reasonable per night (after a couple of €25-30 taxi journeys to Killarney, the money we saved was negated anyway! Big room with en-suite but the impressiveness was to the naked eye only. Long hairs found on the bedspread, floor was filthy - walked around in bare feet for 5 mins and my feet were disgustingly dirty and full of hair! Cobwebs and spiders in the bathroom, a god awful rug in the room which EVEN to the naked eye was filthy. Just felt dirty, dirty, dirty. Complained and was told it had been cleared. What a joke! Tv in room but didn’t work, bed was uncomfortable. Honestly folks, just don’t.

This place was like a welcome beacon on the road as the first thing we saw was a sign which read “Food served all day” and it was exactly what we needed after a long and rewarding day’s hiking in gorgeous County Kerry. The food was excellent, delicious and very reasonably priced and we were well looked after by a lovely waitress called Jessica who was attentive, helpful and good humoured. Ticks ALL the boxes and will be our default stop henceforth on visits to the Kingdom.

It was horrendous! No hot water, no towels, no heating! No reception staff after last couple checked in. Left to our own devices. Awake all night with the room next door fighting and slamming doors from 1a.m. until 6a.m. Felt like we were in a prison and had to put chair up to our door because it felt so unsafe.
