The location is good as it is right in front of the train station. There are many restaurants around. The facility was clean, but there was a lot of smell because it was under construction when I visited. It was disappointing that there was no information about construction before checking in.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown across from the Amtrak station and the walking bridge to the other side of town. The room was spacious and well appointed. They are in the midst of an extensive renovation, so if morning/all day noise and paint smells are bothersome, perhaps look elsewhere temporarily.

Great 1-night stay on a Thursday. Riviera Scratch Kitchen is 1 block walk away and a few other good dining and brewery options.

There was someone with a bird that kept us up half the night, and due to paper thin walls we were kept up the rest of the night from very loud intimate activities. After explaining the situation and when we asked to be moved they told us we would have to pay more for the other room. Will not be staying again.

We thought the rooms would be older looking but they were more modern with slightly older decor accents. The bed was a bit too soft for me but I'm sure it would be comphy for most. I'm a back sleeper.
I would give it 5 stars but it was under renovation's and wasn't aware when we booked it and they started hammering around 8am and stuff torn apart.
The parking wasn't too convenient, it was around the building across the street and the back door wasn't unsable. They did pay for parking which was nice.
The staff was friendly just not over the top, just basic customer service. When we left to return the keys, the front desk was explaining to an in coming guest that they can get discounts for the Iron mountain hot springs and a few other places which was NOT disclosed to us at all. I was annoyed that we could have saved some money going to local places with our stay.
I would stay here again, and look forward to when it's all updated.

We love this historic gem. The rooms are comfortable and have an old time feel. We always stay here when we are in the area. And it’s great having an excellent restaurant/bar right next door.

Lobby was unfinished, no breakfast of any type, no parking, room was tiny, no water pressure in the shower, no amenities to the hotel whatsoever for around 500 a night after service fees and taxes. Even if the lobby was finished, I'd never stay there again

Lobby completely torn up under construction, which was NOT advertised. It was fine, but part of what I was paying for was to see the beauty if the historic hotel. Instead, it was covered in sheet platstic and painters tape.
