I recently found myself in a pinch and needed a cheap motel room fast! I found Norwood Inn and suites in Roseville Minnesota through a quick google search. I was able to get a room for under $50 a night through Trip. To my surprise Norwood Inn and suites was a full functioning hotel with a pool, continental, breakfast, and modern amenities, comparable to any major hotel chain. Very spacious and modern rooms, very cool design of public areas and rooms! Unfortunately, we had some difficulties communication with the hotel twice. First, we wanted to learn more about parking and hotel put us on 10 minutes hold and after that they did not pick up the call for more than an hour! Maybe they are busy, but still leaves an impression. Secondly, we called at the reception to ask about the places open for a beer or wine and they simply hang up on us twice. Moreover, there was something with the lock- we could not leave the room without asking for help outside. I’m glad we were not in the rush in the morning. Not sure why is that so haha! Generally great area in the city center and pretty design!

Perfect place to stay and leave a vehicle when flying from Minneapolis. Rooms VERY clean, love the big shower and good light in the bathroom!! Airport Shuttle is KEY.

We were in this area for a wedding. Other parties stayed at the embassy and we chose to stay at this particular hotel. I would have to say this was my first stay at a Home2suites and this stay has me looking forward to staying with them again to where ever my travels take me. This particular location was clean, beds were comfy, the pool was great as well. We were here only for 2 days but I was pleased with the large room we had for our family of 4. We did the 2 queen bed studio room and it was one of the most spacious hotel rooms I have been in. The common areas we were well upkept and the complimentary breakfast (although) similar to other hotels was stocked so it was ready when we were ready. The following week in July I stayed in a different Home 2 suites and although it didn't hit the benchmark of this location it was also a great stay.

POSITIVE: This is my second time coming to this hotel for a convention. My first time here was quite pleasant. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was tidy and clean. I love the fact that we have complimentary access to the athletic club. It's small but it was pretty nice and more substantial than other hotel fitness center I've seen (so far). The breakfast buffet was excellent! I do appreciate the fact that they let me check in as early as 10am because I overestimated how long it'll take to arrive from the airport! Check out also went pretty smoothy. I am an IHG rewards member so I got to checkout at 2pm, which was nice. NEGATIVE: My second visit was not so excellent, unfortunately. My card kept getting deactivated. Thankfully they were able to reactivate it quickly, but it has happened 3 times during my stay. This is more of a mild frustration: my friend also called in the day before we arrive to check if there were complimentary toothbrushes. Unfortunately when we arrived there were none. While it is a minor issue, I'm surprised they didn't check before telling us there were actually limited supplies or none at all. I'll just make sure to bring my own toothbrush to avoid this minor inconvenience in the future. VERY NEGATIVE: We had some unusually warm weather in Minneapolis where temps were up to the mid 80s. Unfortunately, they could not turn on the AC due to the building being old. I can understand the weather being unusually warm and not prepared, but what I do not appreciate was how the situation was handled. Fans were limited in supplies and people at the top floor had it worst. Some windows could not be opened the entire way, so air circulation in the room was very limited. Perhaps this is more of a design issue of the hotel but it's honestly time it's updated. Climate changes overtime and it's important to adapt. I'm sure my experience would have been as pleasant as the first time if the weather was closer to average but this situation really proved to me how the hotel chain prioritizes profit over the comfort of their clients. So, I don't blame the staff. They did their best, so thank you for your hard work, staff!! I'm more frustrated with the company as a whole. Please, update the heating and cooling system.

I travel for business a couple nights per week and stayed in room 329 on September 15th of this year. I checked in around 7:15 pm that evening and was greeted by a VERY nice staff member. She was very polite and took good care of me. I asked for a 2pm checkout and she granted it with no issues. I went to my room and the temp in there was 76 degrees. WAY too hot for me. I like my room to be 60-63 degrees. It never got below 70 with the a/c running all night. The mattress was VERY comfortable, but it was way too hot to sleep much. I don’t expect to walk into a room and it be 60 degrees, but how about 68 or so? Can’t housekeeping be told to check room temps when cleaning? The morning comes and I go take a hot shower. Shower pressure is EXCELLENT and the water temp gets plenty hot for me. There’s so much steam and zero ventilation in the room so the smoke alarms start going off. Shower is cut a little short. I see on the ceiling above the shower is a large rectangular spot that maintenance put spackle on, but never painted in any way. It was a good reminder that this room is in dire need of some updating. I leave for an 8am business was meeting down the road from the hotel and get back around 9:30 to the room. When I walk in it is WAY too humid in my room, brutally so. The a/c is barely blowing any cool air at this point and it’s about 10 degrees cooler, and significantly drier, in the hallway. It’s so unbearable that I contemplate working in my truck in the parking lot in lieu of spending the next four hours in the room. Great staff, one of the better shower temps and pressures I’ve seen on the road (until smoke alarms start sounding) but certainly a place I won’t stay in again.

The room was spacious and clean. A separate area where the desk was placed that anyone can work privately. A small lake 5 mins walk away from the hotel that you can walk or jog. Exercise room was a bit simple and the coffee machine in the room wasn't working. Overall, a good place to stay and happy to go again.
