Hotel Meisnerhof

Well kept property from the 1600s . In a quiet neighborhood. Nice clean rooms and great freindly staff. We had dinner in the cellar and the food was good.breakfast was complimentary and was great.

We really enjoyed our stay at Meisnerhof: the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room very clean and comfortable. The interior and exterior of the Hotel itself were very attractively furnished and decorated in the Bavarian style, providing a "gemuetliche" ambience. The restaurant and Biergarten offer a selection of local speciality dishes, beer and wines at reasonable prices.

This is a friendly, family run hotel in a quiet village on the banks of the river Main. The times of availability of hotel staff is limited but there is a bier-garden style restaurant as part of the business. The restaurant is popular, so it is wise to book. It is hired out for private functions so you do need to check whether you can eat there, particularly at weekends. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The room was clean, and the double bed was comfortable being a typical continental configuration of two single mattresses with two single quilts. The décor of the room is rustic with beautiful wood. There is no safe. We were resigned to the inability to satisfy the British need for a cup of tea – there was no provision for refreshments in the room apart from a welcoming bottle of mineral water which was not replenished by housekeeping. There was no mini bar and no room service. There was a good range of continental breakfast with hot scrambled egg to go with the cold meats. It is conveniently located for the city of Würzburg and other tourist attractions such as the Schloß garden in Veitshöchheim in which we spent a very pleasant afternoon. Recommended.

Nice hotel outside of Wurzburg, quiet and quaint, good breakfast.

There was an awful smell in one of our rooms, probably a dead rat or mouse hidden in the wall and it was noisy due to the restaurant down below. That was a BIG disappoin**ent! Otherwise, they seem very friendly and the restaurant is pretty cool but very noisy. Great service tho.

Stayed here for a few days while visiting friends in the region. The food was wonderful and the local beers and wines fantastic. The hotel is located in a seriously beautiful part of Germany and is only about 12kms from the delightful town of Wurzburg. The hotel is a traditional building, oozing character and seems to be well staffed by very knowledgeable and enthusiastic people who all could speak great English! A large comfortable bedroom ensured a good night's sleed too.
