Hot spring Hotels in Hakuba

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. The lack of vegetarian / vegan food options was disappointing considering this is a Marriott Hotel. The resteraunt may not be theirs, but still expected better. The staff were very helpful, although the hotel shuttle to drop us to the station was only available for a 30 minute timeslot in the morning. Strange, but not a problem. Location is good, still has a feel that it could be a lot better by just making small improvements. Its the details that matter, at least that is why we booked Marriott. Still, we would stay here again (and maybe bring our own food).

The location is on the mountain, a bit far away. shuttle bus only a few hours, inconvenient. But the relative environment is very quiet. The women's bath can't find the sauna but the men have it. There is free self-service. There are not many breakfast options, but it is acceptable. Overall, it feels good.

the impressive property to accommodate for the winter season around Hakuba Mountain. the hotel room is traditional in Japan Style and perfectly in a comfortable size for a couple or family of 4 person including all amenities with refrigerator and water kettle to taste their inclusive green tea in the room. the hotel shuttle bus is very accommodated for the guest who might be missed the public transportation outside the time schedule which the guest would call the hotel for the shuttle bus to be picked up any place around the hotel property any times. the best services are at the selections of breakfast and dinner which can choose lots of restaurant to be in the hotel property and might need the reservation at some restaurants. If the guest would come for the winter sport without own equipment, the store is next door of this hotel property to be able providing all services; the rental, the set up and the wax for all types of winter equipment to be ready before heading up to Hakuba Mountain any times.

In the summer of 2023, my husband and I were around 50 and stayed for one night on a trip for my wife's birthday. We were both very satisfied. I believe that they have made good use of the large site, and that their investments in water, plants, etc. have created a wonderful landscape, a sense of space, and a sense of satisfaction. This might be my favorite point about this inn. The private bath was quite full when we checked in at 4:30 pm, so if you want to enjoy that, we recommend checking in early. The same goes for dinner. If it's a late inn Dinner started at 8pm, but we had a private bath (not a hot spring). Afterwards, enjoy the time until dinner time while relaxing in the lounge where light meals such as wine, cheese, and olives are served. I think these efforts to keep people waiting are very good. And dinner was Japanese-style French⁉️It was delicious. Return to your room and take a whirlpool bath on the terrace while looking at the night forest and stars. bliss. The next day, as soon as you wake up, take a bath in the hot spring bath. The best hot spring in the open air. The breakfast was also delicious. After eating, we took a walk around the grounds. Creating a wonderful space may be difficult, but I thought it was wonderful. I want to use it again. Thank you for your wonderful time.

One night on the way from Tokyo to Hokuriku region. I stopped at the return of Mt. Fuyu mountain climbing. Although it is not large as the size of the inn, the lobby is relaxed and traditional, but it is very clean and very clean. Yamano Hotel is the ultimate ski chalet in Hakuba. It's situated right across from the 1986 Olympic ski jump and just a short stroll to the Happo-One chair lift. It could even be considered a ski-in and ski-out chalet. The rooms are big and comfortable with gorgeous views of the mountains and the valley. This hotel is a family-owned and run business. The owners Mr. Keita and his wife Monica will greet you from the time you get off the bus to the time you enter the hotel parking area. Mr. Keita is an incredible concierge, always attending to any of your needs and willing to assist you with any information. He also provides a free shuttle to the lift, and if you're tired at the end of the day you can call him and he will be happy to come pick you up, even though it's a short distance. For the additional ski resorts, he is happy to make a reservation for the free morning shuttle. They will pick you up right at the parking lot of the hotel and will drop you off at the same place. So you have easy access to the 7 resorts in the Hakuba Valley right from his doorstep. Once you return from your day in the mountain, you can walk straight into a very spacious heated ski room where you can put your boards and skis on a special rack, warm your boots, gloves, ski pants and jacket so all will be ready to go the next morning. After leaving your stuff in the warm room, you can either step across the hall to enjoy their beautiful onsen inside the chalet that has a hot mineral bath, a cold mountain water plunge bath, and a fantastic wooden and hot rock sauna. An additional perk is the two massage chairs in the laundry area that you can enjoy for free. After relaxing in the Onsen and/or massage chair, you can go back to your comfortable and spacious room and relax until you're ready to have dinner at his restaurant at 6pm. And if you choose to go to other restaurants, several of them are just 5-10 minutes walk away, or there are shuttle buses you can take. The hotel also includes a delicious and abundant breakfast buffet that includes traditional Japanese breakfast of miso soup, fermented beans, Japanese rice and more; traditional American breakfast with several types of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sausage; and traditional Continental breakfast including orange juice, freshly made apple juice, cereals, pastries, and fresh fruit. To summarize our stay at Yamano Hotel, Mr. Keita and his wife Monica made us feel at home and part of their family. That's how well they treat you. This will definitely be the place we stay next time we come to Hakuba.

Good value for money, very nice Japanese-style rooms, decent breakfast, very nice onsen. True, it needs a makeover. We were a family of 6, sharing 2 spacious rooms. The tatamis are really comfortable, and the onsen après-ski is all you can wish for. It is conveniently situated: the shuttle stop is right in front of the hotel. It’s neither too close nor too far from the heart of the town with restaurants and bar.
