We had a great time visiting The Sinbad hotel. Great location and beach front. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. Room was great, Very spacious and comfortable also very clean. Ladies left fresh flowers daily. And were very polite. We dined in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meal. All staff again were extremely helpful and polite. Lots of smiles from them all. Nothing was a problem. Great service , Well done to you all. Great food choices every day. Very tasty food.

Lovely stay! wonderful staff, especially hafedh at the buffet - very friendly and attentive. Good variety of food at the buffet each night and some lovely restaurants to choose from if you’d like a change. The beach is lovely, the staff are again very attentive and will always help find you a spot on the beach. Would recommend.

We booked The Sinbad hotel in Hammermet, Tunisia as a last minute deal and as part of my birthday celebrations and this holiday did not disappoint. I was dubious about booking Tunisia after reading some reviews online however I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. The Hotel: The hotel itself was lovely, right on the beach and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much for them. We feel that the hotel and the staff made our experience as positive as it was. Our room was very spacious and always kept clean and tidy thanks to our wonderful cleaner, Nadia, who was a joy despite not understanding English. I cannot say anything more positive about Nadia. In the main restaurant, the staff were polite, friendly and again, very accommodating. Hadef, the head waiter, provided us with 5* experience single-handedly. Nothing was too much for him and he went out of his way to lay out a beautiful display on the table for my birthday, despite us opting to go outside of the hotel for dinner that evening. He was always on hand to help with anything, be it pouring our wine for us or be it taking the bones out of the fish for us. He was always pleasant and up for having a laugh whilst remaining truly professional. He’s an asset to the restaurant team. In terms of the food, we felt the menu was quite limited in its variety but quality was good, not sure it was of 5* standard but seemed better than the average all inclusive hotels. The only negative experience we had was in the beach bar on the first day of our arrival. Our room wasn’t quite ready and so we went down to the beach bar for some late lunch. We did not realise the culture of providing tips at first and when we did not leave a tip on buying our first meal, one member of staff became quite verbally hostile and appeared the slam down the payment box onto the bar area. We also noted that the French guests appeared to get a better service than that of the English guests in the pool bar area, but it didn’t impact our holiday, we just avoided the beach bar and opted for different lunch options. The beach bar also seemed quite expensive compared with prices outside of the hotel. We had an afternoon in the spa and the spa staff were amazing and gave us a very relaxing experience. The staff at the “pub” were also very friendly and took the time to get to know us as guests and had a game of pool with us. Location: In terms of location, it was remote enough to be peaceful and close enough to both the old Médina and the new Médina which allowed for venturing out on some evenings. Taxis were very cheap and taxi drivers were very friendly and helpful in terms of places to go and see. Food outside of the hotel was much cheaper and very good. Overall: We really enjoyed our week at the Sinbad Hotel and it was exactly the type of week we were hoping for as a last minute booking. 5* rating in terms of staff but unsure in terms of food quality. Overall, a very enjoyable stay at

Best hotel in Tunisia! The hotel is beautifully clean and the grounds are kept pristine. The hotel is right on the beach front and you are always able to get sunbeds with staff always on hand to help out. The staff at reception spoke multiple languages and organised our trip to Carthage and Tunis- our driver Atem was excellent and gave us a brilliant tour. Thank you Atem! The food was excellent and there was always lots to choose from. Thank you to the chefs making all the fresh waffles, crepes and omelettes to start our morning right and having great conversations every day. Our waiter Sami looked after us extremely well, recommending us wine and always being on hand to answer any questions we had. It’s a great hotel and we will be returning! Tunisia is a beautiful place with amazing people and culture.

Far from the standards of a 5 star hotel. During the first night we found 3 cockroaches in the space of 10 minutes (see pictures). It was explained to us "this can happen and it is normal in this country". We requested to change room and even though we did not find roaches in the new room we were in fact downgraded (the most important for us was to not sleep with roaches). The next day we complained because we had paid for a room close to the beach, and we were then transferred to a new equivalent room as we had paid for it. What I find quite surprising is that nothing was done to remedy this experience, e.g. they could have upgraded us (the hotel was almost empty so rooms were available). If we forget about the event with the roaches, we found the room confortable. Having said that the bathroom is a disappointment, you will find mold in the shower (see picture) and our bathroom was equipped with a shower curtain. During our last night, water started dripping from a crack in the ceiling (see picture). On top of the above, you have to pay for water (half-board stay), whether it is in the restaurant or in the room, even though the water in the room is not drinkable. More generally we found the hotel not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. You will find a lot of dust dust (inside and outside) and dead leaves everywhere. You will also find a lot of dirt in the pools as well as mold. Finally, and as you will read it from other feedbacks, the beach staff reserves most of the beach chairs for non-residents. On a Saturday I went to the beach at 8 am and all the chairs were booked. I had to complain to the beach manager that this was unacceptable and only then the staff freed up a spot for my family. On the positive: The hotel staff and restaurant staff was very friendly, most of them always with a smiling face. Also a solution was quickly proposed to the above listed issues. Their beach is clean and the beds are comfortable.
