Nema Design Hotel & Spa - Adults Only

Hotel is amazing. The staff are so friendly they attend to your every need. I would love to come back with family. No complaints about the food there is something for everyone it’s all fresh and made very well. Ishmael is great he greeted us when we arrived and has taken care of us everyday since. He also made my birthday special with wine and cake. My room was the comfort with the independent pool best rooms in this hotel, I wish I could stay longer

I had two wonderful packages including two types of facials and massages. Both trea**ents were with Inelda and were perfect. A very relaxing experience. Would recommend a visit to the Spa to complete a relaxing holiday in Crete. Thank you so much.

Lovely experience at the Nema design Spa & hotel. Staff were welcoming and comforting throughout. The variety of food was amazing, with lots of choice suiting all. I had 2 packages of trea**ents including massages and facials provided by my wonderful therapist Kate. Spa trea**ents were provided with care and attention. Feeling thoroughly relaxed! I would definitely recommend visiting Nema design spa and hotel.

I selected this hotel for a trip away on my husbands Birthday. I decided against a neighbouring hotel that looked bigger, this was smaller and looked more intimate and thought the staff would be therefore more a tentative, How wrong were we. We checked in and greeted by the receptionist who asked us to take a seat, then took a while to come over to explain we needed to self check in on the QR code, which i did. We then waited (bearing in mind we were the only 2 checking in and the hotel was very quiet) and waited.. for me to then walk back to confirm i have checked in and now what? i was asked to take a seat again , and then she came over and took our passports and returned with our room keys. We stayed in room 1103. We were All Inclusive - which now it seems isn't an option and prob' explains why the service we received wasn't the best.. The receptionist told us arriving at 4pm there was no food options now other than going down to the poor bar and ordering from a snack menu, so given we had been up since 3am and had only plane food we decided that would be a good option. My husband selected a burger and me the Caesar salad. Before the food came we were presented with a bill for food and drinks, which when i queried and said we are AI were told this wasn't now included. I cancelled my salad but we went ahead with my husbands order and were happy to pay 13 euros for that. Our room was as we wished, clean, and the pool was warm. They kindly bought him a birthday cake and a bottle of fizz. Nice gesture but something you'd expect really at this style of hotel. Its the small things that go along way. Prior to arriving i had contacted reception to ask if it was possible to arrange a floating breakfast and as advertised a dinner for two, I had several emails back and forth from Ioanna Frantzeskaki who shared me the link for the dinner, and after reading it i emailed back asking if there was a charge for both and she replied " we can arrange a floating breakfast with a cost of 35 euros and a 10 euro room service fee" NOTHING about the meal for two.. so on that basis given i had asked the question and the link she had sent me had nothing about price on (it just detailed Candlelit dinner for two (it wasn't they just move a light on a table so you can see your food, no candles) it reads " enhance your experience with our exclusive private dining for two in your room. A 4 course set menu based upon fish or meat will be severed to you in your room in a candlelit romantic scenario. 1) in room private dining , 2) course set menu 3) 1 glass of sparkling wine per person 4 ) vegetarian options avail Couldn't of been further than this ! Reception woman knew i had booked this but went on to say rather than doing this on the beach (beach? who asked for the beach) we could sit in the pool bar and do it the next eve as it was a bit windy, so we agreed. We sat for this meal, it wasn't private, we were at the pool bar where people can walk in off the stree

We booked for a 1 week stay at the start of the season at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We needed a much needed break from the stresses of work and the crappy weather of London so thought we would return to Crete 1 year after we had visited the other side of the island (Chania). We were the very first guests of the season. We received a very warm welcome from the Hotel Manager Antonios as we walked up to the property. He was very welcoming, talkative and interested in us as a couple and how we had heard of the property and came to the decision to stay with them. This personable approach was very much the theme of our stay as all the staff had this in abundance. I’ve read some reviews here that speak of the great staff at this property. I 100% agree and endorse these claims. The staff here are really good. The front desk manager was incredibly helpful on a number of occasions and recommended an OUTSTANDING restaurant for us to visit for lunch in a nearby town they also recommend we visit. We barely left the property as we booked the trip purely for relaxation, rejuvenation and a break from the pressures of our careers and the dire weather in London. With that said, should you need to hire a car or take any trips or tours, there are plenty options available and the staff are readily available to assist in booking and sharing options with you to cater to your specific needs. We booked a Design Room with Independent Pool. The room had everything we needed and more. The bed is big and comfy, the shower is excellent, there’s quality toiletries in the room, a safe, ironing board, coffee machine, fridge and we had our own private heated pool, sun bed and a hammock. There’s options to have your minibar refilled every night and you can order a floating breakfast if you fancy it. If you’re looking for more privacy I’d recommend this room or perhaps the suites since the other rooms with pools are less private from your neighbours. My only criticism of the room is the trickiness getting out of the pool to get into the hammock due to the lack of a ledge or steps at that end of the pool. Which would’ve made it easier. Given we visited at the very start of the season, there were a few teething issues but that was expected and there wasn’t anything that dampened the enjoyment of our break. We had a couple of lengthy waits for food in the A la carte restaurant in the first 3 days but that’s due to the fact the property had just opened to guests for the season. Despite the wait, the food was worth it. We had some delicious dishes at the A la carte restaurant before the buffet restaurant opened and amazed us. The quality of food was so much better than we had expected. Ordinarily you do not get such good quality and varied dishes in a buffet half board offering. Crete night was an excellent way to open the buffet restaurant which had a different theme each night. We truly stuffed our faces with authentic Greek food. The chef deserves

Had a lovely time at Nema! My friend and I came for a relaxing weekend in the sun and treated ourselves to a spa day. My massage therapist Inelda was fantastic and the overall experience was exactly what we were looking for - rest and relaxation! All of the spa ana hotel staff are very friendly and the service was fantastic. Not too crowded and had the e best time tanning at the pool all day.

Room was excellent, location was very nice. We weren't too impressed with the service level honestly. Although the staff was very friendly, they just did not follow up on a couple of small requests. Example; I e-mailed 2 days before arrival and asked if they could make sure a nice cold bottle of champagne would be in the fridge upon our midnight arrival. Nobody followed up, nothing was in the fridge. Not even the bottle of raki which is promised with this room on their website. A bit disappointing. We booked the executive maisonette with hot tub. This is an amazing relaxing room. We booked trea**ents in the spa which were very nice, would recommend this. Watch out by the way when they offer you a free 15 min massage, in reality they did not have time for this as they were fully booked. NEMA did not compensate for this in any other way. All in all we think the room was 5 stars, the service level was 3. A 4 star rating in our opinion. Insider tip; when looking for good food or cocktails, go to Areya. This is only 300 meters from NEMA (when walking out the hotel turn right, it's at the beach front).

Firstly we arrive and our door to our hotel room in broken and we are left waiting an hour to get in till they found the actually key. In this time we wasn’t offered so much as a drink after our long travel and was told no where to get a drink we would have to wait till the morning. The city tax in the hotel was €70 which is the most I’ve paid anywhere. The shower is the room on arrival in addition to the door being broken was also broken and only put out cold water. The bathroom and room were dirty and unclean and the room was so tiny! I had organised the balloons directly for the hotel for my boyfriend’s birthday that they never did. The bed was just two singles put together and would come apart all the time. The private pool was dirty and although on there website it says the heating in the pool is free this time of year (April to may) they tried to charge us €100 a day for it. They heated it the first day then turned it off and said it was on when it clearly was not as the pool was ice cold. The All inclusive was FAR from all inclusive very small select a few things on it. Because we were all inclusive, they would make us wait two hours for drinks! So we had to go out and spend more money on food and drinks else where. I feel as those the staff would ignore us because we were all inclusive! Or maybe because we are British. The one day at breakfast I asked for a ice coffee to which I was told they don't do they when it's on the all inclusive menu and the girl on the table next to me had one. The spa was rubbish and very loud. Overall the stay was extremely disappointing and not worth the Money at all! Would never go back or recommend it to anyone awful holiday.

Had an amazing time at the nema design hotel all the staff were very professional, the girls at the pool bar Maria and Soumaya made our experience even better , thank you guys will be visiting again 👍🏾
