Busan Hostels

I was quite worried because the accommodation seemed to have been built only a few days ago, so there were no reviews and it didn't show up on maps. However, unlike the exterior, the interior was well-maintained, and it was incredibly quiet despite being in a busy area. The bathroom and shower room were spotless, and I was surprised to see a body dryer in every stall!! I also liked that breakfast was included and there was an unlimited alcohol time, albeit for just one hour!! The location in Seomyeon is excellent, and the subway isn't too far away, which is great! Everything was thoughtfully prepared, including a water dispenser, a small exercise area in the basement, towels, pajamas, a water dispenser, cotton swabs, and a comb. It was excellent!! If they just maintain it consistently, it would be a truly great place!!

We loved our stay at The First Ocean Gwangan! The location was great. We had a good view of Gwangalli Beach and the stunning Gwangan Bridge. It took us less than 10mins to walk from the nearest metro station. There were bus stops and plenty of shops and eateries nearby. The room was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We really appreciated having a washer in the room. The bathroom was small. Response from staff were fast and helpful. Check in and out were easy. Luggage storage was available for early arrivals. Just follow the instructions given by the staff.

The place was a bit dirty when we arrived, hair in the bathroom in the sink and some stains on the walls as well. Walls are extremely thin, you can hear people outside of your room and your neighbors enjoying their night. For the price I paid, I’m not going to complain. However, the workers were extremely nice, if you don’t mind the transportation time, I would recommend.

It was easy to understand the location because it was close to Exit 2. There were olive young, mega coffee, GS25, etc. nearby, so it is convenient for shopping. Two bottles of water and towels were replenished every day while I was out. Recently, there are many hotels with amenities that do not have toothbrushes, but it was in this hotel. There was no shower curtain, but if you were careful, the toilet wouldn't get wet and the floor was dry the next day, so it wasn't bad.

This hotel provides the basic amenities that you will need. The hotel was more like a boutique hotel located along a restaurant district. It provides good access to the subway and the grand Lotte mall. Unlike what people had commented, the hotel was easy to locate. We were greeted by a beautiful row of cherry blossom trees the week of our stay. The owner of the hotel was very responsive to our needs and gave us what we needed to make our stay comfortable. We had difficulty trying to hang out clothes or bath towels in the bathroom as there are no hanging bars or hooks. There is also no shower curtain so do request for more floor towels to prevent the water from getting to other areas of the bathroom. The host had found a side table for us to use in the bathroom. A point to note is that you would need to climb a flight of stairs to get to your room. The owner was very kind to help us carry our luggage to our room. The hotel is not for the fussy. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Check-in is at 4 PM, but you can check in an hour early for 10,000 won. However, the bed had a lot of hair on it, so I couldn't possibly sleep on it and asked for it to be cleaned. Room cleaning requests must be made at the front desk by 3 PM. I asked for a gown replacement, but only towels were restocked. There's only one key card; an additional one requires a 20,000 won deposit, which is refunded upon check-out. The parking is mechanical, and you have to operate it yourself. It's best to ask the front desk for instructions when someone is there, as there are times when no one is available. If the cleaning had been done properly and it was clean, I would have thought this was a good hotel, being close to Seomyeon.

As a ********* exchange student in Korea, Billy Hotel has always been my top choice whenever I visit Busan for holidays or weekends. I'm a loyal, repeat guest! This hotel was originally operated by a management company, but recently, the owner made a very thoughtful and decisive decision to switch to a new management company. To my surprise, this change has led to a significant upgrade in the overall quality and cleanliness of the entire hotel! Especially in the 'cleanliness' aspect, the meticulous attention to detail is truly and distinctly different from before. Whether it's the spotless metallic luster of the bathroom fixtures, the impeccably dry and comfortable bedding, or the maintenance of tiny details in hidden corners of the room, everything shows an astonishing level of professionalism and extreme care. The moment you open the door, you're greeted with a refreshed and incredibly clean, comfortable feeling. As budget-conscious exchange students, we already highly appreciate the excellent value for money, superior location, convenient smart home appliances controlled by a mobile app, and the consistently warm and friendly service. Now, with the added comprehensive upgrade to impeccable, top-tier cleanliness, every stay truly surprises us and gives us 100% peace of mind. Every time I come to Busan to travel or relax, this place feels like a cozy second home in Korea, completely easing the fatigue of studying abroad. This is definitely a top-notch lodging that I will continue to return to and always support. I wholeheartedly and strongly recommend it to all friends visiting Korea!

I stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days, from April 30th to May 4th. As some other reviews mentioned, I was charged an extra fee upon check-in (^◇^;). When I refused to pay, the lady shockingly told me to 'cancel after the second night and go to another accommodation!' I firmly refused that too. When I told her that this was not what we agreed upon and that I would immediately complain to the booking site, she kept saying 'Mianhaeyo, Mianhaeyo~' (I'm sorry, I'm sorry~) and dropped the extra charge. Apparently, she had forgotten to set the holiday rates when she took my booking... She apologized profusely, and there were no other issues after that, so I think I'll stay here again if I go back to Busan. (All communication was done via a translation app.) The location is fantastic – you can walk to Jagalchi and Nampo, and there's a bus stop right in front. The room is old, but it's not dirty for the price. Both the room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. There's also a refrigerator (with 3 bottles of water). The TV can play YouTube and Netflix, the Wi-Fi is great, and they even provided an electric blanket, which was much appreciated as it was a bit chilly at night.

I stayed here just a few days before, and chose to stay here yet again after coming back from an excursion to Busan. The self check-in process is smooth even after the check-in counter is closed at late night. Perfect location if you arrive into Seoul train station at midnight, either from Korail or airport train. Even if all metros lines are closed. You can just walk to the guesthouse within 10 mins from Seoul station. During the day, there is a metro station at your doorsteps connecting to Seoul Station in 1 stop. The room is clean and warm. The owner is very friendly.

I stayed here for an extended period with my wife and our 3- and 4-year-old children. There's a convenience store, a tonkatsu restaurant, and a pizza place nearby, so it was great for the kids. My family and I walked to the laundromat to do our laundry. It's a little far, but it's a good place to stop by on your way out for dinner.
