During the Chuseok holiday, I booked Hoshikage Ryokan at a price higher than a 5-star hotel and came here with high expectations. The group before us even upgraded their room, but they didn't even apologize to us and just greeted us with a sullen expression until the end. At this price, there weren't many rooms, so it wasn't crowded, but I was really disappointed that they could treat guests this well. I didn't expect great treatment, but I never thought I would be ignored and treated this badly. I was satisfied with the welcome tea, the room condition, the jacuzzi, the dinner, and the breakfast, but the only thing I remember is the rudeness of the female employee at the front desk.

I came for my birthday. Unbelievably, I had forgotten my wallet in my home country (China), they helped me deal with a taxi driver and gave me cash off of my reservation. I had the breakfast one day, which was good, but I had to pay extra since my room price didn't include it, I guess. The location is RIGHT NEXT TO the beach, which is lovely. I could see it from my room and walk to it. Restaurants and shops are very walkable to the location and the point which is beautiful. Must say but also get the breakfast. It's on a few floors of a hotel with multiple hotels on different floors. Beautiful view of the bridge. Drone show every Saturday at 8 and 10 p.m. The restaurant is closed on many days that are not the weekend.
