This hotel has recently opened in the area and has the brand new feel to it. The rooms feel and are very clean. The beds and furniture are in new condition and very comfortable. The rooms are fairly spacious and have a large flatscreen TV mounted to the wall that easily pulls out and adjusts to any direction of the room. The bathrooms are spacious, bright, new and modern. The water temperature and pressure are very good. My only issue with the room and, this is nitpicking, is that the toilet is a small standard circular shaped toilet. I traveled extensively and it is my experience that most hotels have a spherical, larger shaped toilet. So if you are a plus size/bigger person I would keep that in mind. The towels and sheets are new and clean. The on-site complementary breakfast for this price point of hotel was very good. The coffee was surprisingly fresh and the food was pretty good. They do offer a very long period for breakfast which I thought was very nice especially if you are not traveling on business. Monday through Friday the breakfast stops at 9:30 AM and during the weekends, it goes until 10 AM. The staff at this hotel is very nice and super friendly. If you are an IHG member, they will definitely acknowledge that and accommodate all privileges according to your status, if available. The business center has two brand new computers, and a laser printer that were functional the entire time that we stayed. There are some reviews that complain about noise due to the fact it is located next to two major highways beltway 8 and IH-10. However, the hotel is pretty far back away from the highway that I could not hear a thing. Our room was located in the front of the building, facing the highway and had no problems hearing any external noise. Bottom line would highly recommend this hotel to business travelers and to vacationers as well. This is one of the best Holiday Inn, Express hotels, and other hotels at this level/price point we have ever stayed.

Did not have breakfast, eat a few days each person 12 knives a day, children half price. Self-service, average American breakfast. Not expensive or cheap. It is not convenient to have no car in the United States. So staying here is much cheaper than downtown. Drive to the museum area, follow the morning peak for about 40min-1h, and go to the space center for about 1.2-1.5h. Can be tollway, less than 2.5 knives for each of the 7 seats, not expensive, take the right cash channel, below 20 can be zero. Houston is planning very well, the museum areas are all together, naturally, children are close.

The valet service at Westin Memorial City was very polite and very helpful with bags and car retrieval. Levent and Tommy were excellent! Thankful for their efficiency. They had great manners and were eager to assist.

Nice hotel! The bed was comfy, the room was nice and a good size, and the staff were friendly. Only docked a star because the pool hours were weird and we waited for over 15 minutes for a luggage rack for checkout and when they didn’t show we just carried it down ourselves.

This was our base during our last visit to Houston. Same area as last time but an upgrade in accommodations. Checkin went ok and I did manage to change our room to two beds even though the hotel was full. Our one bedroom was roomy with up to date furnishings and colors. The kitchen area was quite compact but met our needs. Did not hear much noise in the hall or from rooms next door so checked the box for a nice stay. The main lobby and breakfast area were brightly lit and floor to ceiling windows. Breakfast options were good with hot and continental offerings. Coffee and tea were served all day. Disposable gloves and face masks were readily available to everyone. The gym was well equipped with all the equipment I use: dumbbells (complete set) and a multifunctional weight machine. Treadmills, ellipticals and bikes faced the pool. A filtered water dispenser was a plus so we did not have to keep getting bottled water. I was the only guest each time so I enjoyed having the gym to myself. Good value and location for our stay.

We checked into the Candlewood Suites (Houston CityCentre) in early-Sept for a 10-day stay. We have stayed at this Candlewood Suites location before and really like the location due to its proximity to many restaurants and close to CityCentre and Memorial City Mall. Also really enjoy the clean rooms, in-room kitchens and the free washers/dryers that are provided. Our check-in was handled by Anjunnette Campbell in a very prompt and professional manner. We were tired after a long flight to Houston and our keys were ready when we arrived at the hotel and Ms Campbell had us checked-in and on the way to our room within a minute. We were given a lovely room but unfortunately had a small air conditioning issue during the course of our stay. Anjunnette Campbell was working the front desk when I notified the hotel of the a/c issue. Ms Campbell came to look at the a/c but noted it was something that could not be resolved that day. So she quickly arranged for us to move to another room that was equally as nice as our initial room. The quick response by Ms Campbell towards investigation our a/c issue and getting us relocated to a new room was greatly appreciated.
