Wakka

Conveniently located about halfway between Onomichi and Imabari along the Shimanami Kaido, WAKKA is much more than a halfway stop. Staying here is an experience you won’t forget for a while. Between us we had a cottage and a dome ‘tent’ both with views of the water & the Tatara bridge (across which we had cycled). We opted for the BBQ dinner on our deck & it was wonderful: sashimi appetiser, local seafood, vegetables & meat (amazing steak, boar sausages, chicken) as well as rice, dessert and mint tea! The hospitality here is so warm that we felt immediately welcomed. All the staff were lovely. Reika (from reception) suggested a trip to the local onsen (public bath) and provided a voucher as well as minibus shuttle (10 min way). This was a great experience and good way to relax after a day’s cycling. We enjoyed breakfast sitting on the cafe deck (great coffee) before we set off for another day of cycling. As well as cottages & dome tents, there are dormitory beds for a more economical stay. WAKKA also offers support to cyclists who aren’t staying at the hotel.

1. Dinner and breakfast are delicious, and it will be a bit supportive. It is very pleasant to watch the sea view while eating. 2. There is free wifi, the room is very clean, the view is very good, and you can watch the sunrise. 3. You can borrow bicycles (limited number, must ride back), very close to the bicycle lane. 4. Walk about 2.2 kilometers from Bozhibin Station. Bozhibin Station is an unmanned station. There is no taxi schedule. It is recommended to call the car.

It was so small that the threshold was not high, and it was a very cozy inn for me of the common people. Because it is a partial meal & snack, I disturbed you with the cheapest cooking plan. Still, I had a lot of items and delicious things! In addition to the bath in the inn, I installed a bathtub on the veranda and felt that I was taking measures against corona. I was surprised that the bath was equipped with THREE oil cleaning and lotion. I'm worried that I'm not stolen. The bath of the sports center facility in the neighborhood is 5 minutes by bicycle, and the convenience store is 10 minutes. After! There was also a flute concert of Mr. Itaga during dinner, and it was fun.

Truly excellent facilities. My friends and I were so impressed. It’s a hostel but you do get private spaces, basically giant cubicles with blinds and curtains to give you some privacy. Facilities were basic, but exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well, despite seeming quite busy. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the perfect hostel is still a hostel. You get people talking late into the night keeping you up with their mumbling. You have people snoring. It’s nothing the hostel can really do anything about, but it’s something to bear in mind.

The location is a bit biased, but it happens to be above my travel route. The boss and his wife are very nice. If there is a chance in the future, they will come to set their home.

Located on Bofang Island, a very traditional Japanese-style hotel, the service staff is very kind, there is a supermarket next to it, it is strongly recommended to buy dinner, very delicious, the washing equipment is located outside the room, the room is full of tatami fragrance.
