"Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!"

"Super friendly and helpful boss. The room is clean and has air conditioning, although there is no need to turn it on at night. It is quite cold at night when I was here in mid September. They serve a sumptuous breakfast and provide free laundry service. Beautiful view of the rice terraces especially at night when the lights are turned on. The price is not the cheapest in the village but definitely value for money. The hotel is up on the hill and can be a quite tiring climbing to it."

"Almost missed this place because it was not in the ranking list. It is a hidden gem. To me what make this place stands out compared with the many highly rated lodging in the vicinity is its design (the unit I booked has a floor to ceiling window, raised platform w cushion seat and bean bag to chill and have tea, no silly bath tub at window). The view is to die for, exactly same as the photo displayed in trip.com (I thot the photo was enhanced but turned out it is exactly the same on site. Even the photo I took looks surreal. The rice terrace looks so near and the cascading stepped layers look so distinct) and the price is less and even half of the other listing. Definitely value for money. Only downside is the shower water pressure is a bit low and hot water needed a while and smart WC not calibrated well w zesty sensor at work. Additional plus point, sunrise scene from your room if the clouds is in your favour. Good local home cooked food and attentive service from owner and family. Very near and easy stroll to lookout 1 and but tough yet short trail to lookout 2."

"This hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering a view of a small terraced field from the room. While it doesn't offer the breathtaking, expansive terrace views you'd get from a mountaintop, I think the location is quite good. It's not far from Observation Deck No. 1, just a 10-minute walk, so there's no need to worry about steep climbs if you're not a confident driver. The owner and their family are very welcoming; they called to guide us to free parking even before we arrived, and after we settled in, they took us to see the terraced field light show. The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, with two spacious tatami beds. We arrived late (after 7 PM), so we missed out on the rice paddy fishing. The kids only got to play briefly in the hotel's outdoor pool, which had very clean water but was a bit chilly at night, so they couldn't stay in long. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the hotel!"

"This was the best experience I've ever had with an hotel. First of all the place is very new, and you can tell. It is extremely clean and technologic (the toilet had a worming seat option) and the bathtub, the sofa and the bed were all super comfortable. The location is the best in the Longji park, close to view points 1 and 2. And from our room we could see the rice terraces. But the best thing were the owners. They got in contact with us before we arrived to make sure we knew the way. They welcomed us with hot tea, and explained to us where all the sightseeing points were. We had many questions and they patiently answered all of them. The service was amazing! Last thing: eat in the hotel! We ordered everything in the morning and in the evening we had the best dinner we had in China so far. The breakfast is also very good. This is really a gem, and we liked our stay very much. Thank you again for the hospitality!"

"Excellent location , in the Dazhai village center, easy 7 minute walk to the Dazhai parking lot for the cable car and the local buses to Ping'an and long hair show village (forgot the name). You can also walk to three observation platforms from the foothill to hilltop. Room: spacious, clean, with all the amenities as described. Hosts: a young couple with kids and mother, nice, welcoming people. Although they do not speak English, you can easily communicate via WeChat. They helped me with booking a bus to Guilin. The hotel is recommended for nice views and local village experience. I would like to have a menu, as well as a sketch map of the area with observation platforms, villages, hiking routes in English. Information on local events and local but routes/ schedules would also be helpful for non-Chinese tourists."

"Meeting Xintian's service was incredibly warm! They helped with transfers, carried our luggage, and even planned our terraced field sightseeing route. The guesthouse's home-style dishes were absolutely amazing – spring water stewed chicken, bamboo rice, and rice paddy fish. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were authentic; we ate there three times and never got tired of it. The room was spacious and bright. I thought facilities wouldn't be so complete up in the terraced fields, but there was a dry/wet separation in the bathroom, hot water, and air conditioning. The hygiene was spotless. Staying in the terraced fields felt as comfortable as being at home. We'll definitely come back next time!"

The wooden structure of the room exudes natural warmth, the bedding is as soft as being wrapped in mountain clouds, and even the hot water in the bathroom carries a hint of refreshing herbal scent. The housekeeper, A-jie, would quietly bring freshly ground soy milk at dinner, saying, ”This warms the stomach for those who wake up early to watch the sunrise.” Following her along the small path to the viewing platform in the early morning, I learned how many generations of stories are hidden within the terraced fields. The biggest surprise was lying back on the balcony recliner at night, looking up to see the Milky Way cascading into the folds of the terraces; I didn't even want to touch my phone. This isn't just staying in a hotel; it's living within the heartbeat of the mountains."

The photos and videos are originals, without filters or editing. 1. **Room**: The actual room matches the pictures online, and the window view is also consistent with what's advertised, so feel free to book with confidence. The king room features a tatami mat and a floor-to-ceiling window (which can be opened), while the twin room comes with a balcony. All bathrooms are designed with separate wet and dry areas, and the entire room is equipped with smart home features. Most importantly, the guesthouse has an elevator! An elevator! This is incredibly convenient for guests with luggage, seniors, or children. 2. **Cleanliness**: The lobby, restaurant, terrace, and rooms are all very clean and free of any peculiar smells. What's even better is that it didn't feel damp even when I stayed after the Qingming Festival (this is a big plus). 3. **Environment**: The guesthouse boasts a modern, minimalist decor with a bright overall color scheme, excellent natural light, and ventilation. All facilities and equipment are well-maintained, and the soft furnishings and decorations are thoughtfully chosen, making you feel right at home. There's a children's play area in the lobby, which also looks clean and tidy. Next to the restaurant, there's a public outdoor terrace with lounge chairs and tables, where you can comfortably relax, play, chat, or dine. 4. **Transportation**: Whether you drive yourself or take a chartered car/taxi, you can drive directly to the guesthouse entrance, which has its own parking area. For those traveling by bus, the guesthouse owner provides pick-up and drop-off services at the bus stop (Jinkeng Dazhai Parking Lot). The owner also offers rides to Viewing Platforms No. 1 and No. 2, or Cable Car Station No. 3. It's incredibly convenient and hassle-free (transportation in the villages of Longji Terraces can be quite inconvenient). 5. **Service**: The service absolutely deserves high praise; it's very thoughtful and attentive, with every request met. On the day of check-out, my chartered driver wasn't scheduled to pick us up until 4:30 PM, leaving our group of four with nowhere to go. We ended up staying in the guesthouse restaurant and on the terrace after checking out. The owner's family didn't mind at all and continued to host us warmly, which made us feel a bit embarrassed. In the end, they personally saw us off at the door. Throughout our trip, my parents kept raving about the place, and after returning home, they urged me to write a good review to express our gratitude. 6. **Food**: Breakfast is a freshly prepared set meal per person, consisting of a cup of soy milk + 1 corn + 1 bowl of Guilin rice noodles + 1 boiled egg. It's filling and delicious, and the eggs are from their own chickens. For lunch and dinner, I ordered à la carte at the guesthouse. All the chickens, ducks, fish, and vegetables are home-grown or raised by the guesthouse itself, killed/picked and cooked fresh on the spot. Everything is incredibly fresh, and the portions are generous—definitely not pre-made food! The chickens and ducks roam freely on the owner's own land. What's more, the guesthouse owner's cooking skills are excellent; even my parents and aunt, who are experienced cooks, couldn't stop praising every dish. It all tasted great and suited our family's preferences perfectly. The owner also offers complimentary homemade rice wine, which is delicious, truly delicious—you must try it. If we weren't planning to spend a few more days in Yangshuo, I would have definitely bought some to take home. You absolutely must try the guesthouse's home-raised chicken, especially the chicken soup. After leaving, my parents kept talking about their chicken, saying it was different from any chicken we had at other farm-to-table restaurants in Yangshuo later on. Their chicken was tender and fresh, with the natural sweetness of chicken, not just seasoning. My parents kept saying that after our trip, they wanted me to contact the owner to order some to be delivered home. Because we had already tried the local specialties in the first few meals, for our last lunch, my parents just wanted some fresh vegetables from the field, and the owner didn't mind at all that we only ordered two vegetable dishes. Their homemade Luo Han Guo tea is also very good; the tea is rich. When we checked out, the proprietress even specially gave us two packaged bags as a parting gift—so thoughtful! I'll be contacting the proprietress to buy passion fruit after the National Day holiday when they ripen. 7. **Local Ethnic Attire**: The guesthouse provides local ethnic costumes for free, with several sets to choose from, including headwear. The clothes are new, clean, and you can wear and photograph them as much as you like. Furthermore, the owner has a beautiful wife and a pair of lovely sons, along with kind and honest-looking parents. The entire family is incredibly warm and sincere, making our stay very comfortable, reassuring, and pleasant. Happiness is infectious. Jinkeng Dazhai is truly beautiful, and I highly recommend everyone to visit!"

When staying at guesthouses, you always worry about things not living up to expectations, and while the online photos looked great, this place really nailed the details. From the bedsheets to the toiletries, from the tea to the food at their restaurant – I highly recommend their spicy chicken and rice paddy fish – everything shows the owner's dedication. It felt just like being at home, very reassuring. The staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly accommodating.
