"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the rice terraces. They even help with luggage transfer, which is a very thoughtful service. The room is very clean and comes with a super large balcony. You can see vast rice terraces as soon as you step out onto the balcony, and the view is absolutely stunning! My family loved it and felt very comfortable staying here! We'd definitely come back again if we have the chance."

"Very comfortable stay in this hotel. Very big and clean room, service staff are very helpful. Provide local cuisine menu in their restaurant. Walking distance to a few viewing locations. Perfect view for sunrise from hotel room if you don't want to walk to see sunrise. I willreturn to this hotel when I return again."

"Almost missed this place because it was not in the ranking list. It is a hidden gem. To me what make this place stands out compared with the many highly rated lodging in the vicinity is its design (the unit I booked has a floor to ceiling window, raised platform w cushion seat and bean bag to chill and have tea, no silly bath tub at window). The view is to die for, exactly same as the photo displayed in trip.com (I thot the photo was enhanced but turned out it is exactly the same on site. Even the photo I took looks surreal. The rice terrace looks so near and the cascading stepped layers look so distinct) and the price is less and even half of the other listing. Definitely value for money. Only downside is the shower water pressure is a bit low and hot water needed a while and smart WC not calibrated well w zesty sensor at work. Additional plus point, sunrise scene from your room if the clouds is in your favour. Good local home cooked food and attentive service from owner and family. Very near and easy stroll to lookout 1 and but tough yet short trail to lookout 2."

"Let's cut to the chase: I'm absolutely thrilled with my stay! **Price:** Incredibly affordable! The owner even upgraded my room when I arrived. For the same room category and window view, other places would easily charge 400-500 yuan. **Service:** Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and welcoming. Even before I arrived, they went out of their way to help me plan my itinerary and give directions. They were super patient too; I was so exhausted from sightseeing those days that I kept asking the same questions multiple times, and the owner always answered patiently. You can really feel that the entire family is genuinely kind – his wife, his mother, they all had smiles on their faces every day, and their eldest daughter was adorable and played wonderfully with my son. **View:** Words can't do it justice, just look at the photos! I didn't even want to get out of bed in the morning. What viewing platform could possibly be as pleasant as watching the terraced fields from your bed? **In summary:** Just come here, you won't regret it!"

"Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!"

"We just had one of the best stays we ever had. A few things that made up to that: The couple that manages the place is absolutely lovely. We were treated very nicely, we were cooked excellent food and they would make sure we were comfortable all the time. They helped us with some bookings, offered us some of their home made rice wine and cooked a variety of typical dishes. All delicious. Location-wise, we couldn’t have been hosted in a better place. Between View-spot 1 and 2, and with a very nice hike to spot 3. The village is super quiet and chill - there’s nothing to do there besides relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The Hotel has very nice views of the Rice Terraces too, so if it gets rainy or just want to be in the room, you still enjoy the setting. And of course, we have to mention the little hosts that moan around the place: Mi Huan, their cute poodle; and quite a few cats, 5 of them being born when we arrived :) Genuinely a very nice experience and definitely a place we would like to come back to in the future."

"The B&B's location is fantastic, offering breathtaking views directly overlooking the terraced fields – truly picturesque! You can tell the owner has put a lot of thought into it. You can drive quite close to the B&B, and they'll help you with your luggage up a short flight of steps. The B&B's car provides transfers to the cable car station (for viewing platform 3 and Jinfo Peak). Viewing platform 2 is just opposite; they'll drop you at the foot of the mountain, and it's a 15-25 minute climb to viewing platform 2 (the Thousand-Layer Heavenly Ladders). We had dinner on the first day and lunch on the second day at the B&B, and the food was delicious, especially the egg-fried rice, which had that wonderful 'wok hei' flavor. They served complimentary rice wine with every meal, which was sweet and had a very low alcohol content. The B&B also offers coffee and other beverages. They even gifted us two bottles of rice wine at the end! We booked two rooms; this particular room faced the terraced fields directly and had a balcony. You can also try catching fish in the rice paddies, which was a lot of fun."

"A hotel in Longsheng – an unforgettable view of the rice terraces. 🌾 Dates of stay: March 2026 Room type: Double with panoramic view We stayed in the village of Dazhai, in a hotel right next to the rice terraces. And it was the best decision of the entire trip. Out the window, you can see endless steps of terraces that descend into the mountains. In the morning, you wake up, open the curtains, and before you is mist creeping down the slopes, and somewhere below, the village is already waking up. This isn't just a room; it's a view you'll want to take pictures of every five minutes. It's not yet the high season (we were there in March), so there were almost no tourists. It was quiet, just the birds and the sound of the wind. Some of the terraces above were already flooded, and when the sun came out, the water sparkled so brightly it was breathtaking. The hosts were very hospitable. They picked us up from the bus stop and helped us with our luggage. The room was clean, with hot water—everything you need after a long day with varying weather. In the evening, we sat in the hotel restaurant, ordering local dishes. In the morning, we were served breakfast with local noodles. Main life hack: get a room with a view of the terraces. The price difference is small, but the experience is much more powerful. Even if it's raining (and we had a downpour with thunderstorms), sitting under a blanket and watching the fog cover the mountains is a special pleasure. The observation decks are easily accessible from here. We hiked up the ”Thousand Steps” (about 20 minutes) and took the lift to the ”Buddha Gate”—the views from there are incredible, especially when the water begins to shimmer in the sun. If you want to see the terraces in their true, living beauty, rather than in the crowds, come in March or April. And be sure to stay here. Here you feel not like a tourist, but a guest in the mountains."

"Excellent location , in the Dazhai village center, easy 7 minute walk to the Dazhai parking lot for the cable car and the local buses to Ping'an and long hair show village (forgot the name). You can also walk to three observation platforms from the foothill to hilltop. Room: spacious, clean, with all the amenities as described. Hosts: a young couple with kids and mother, nice, welcoming people. Although they do not speak English, you can easily communicate via WeChat. They helped me with booking a bus to Guilin. The hotel is recommended for nice views and local village experience. I would like to have a menu, as well as a sketch map of the area with observation platforms, villages, hiking routes in English. Information on local events and local but routes/ schedules would also be helpful for non-Chinese tourists."

"If you're visiting Longji Rice Terraces and Ping'an Village, this is definitely the place to stay! Everything about it is great! The service is excellent, and the homemade dishes are delicious, especially the rice noodles – they're the best I've had in Guilin! For a scenic area, I think it offers good value for money. Two of us had dinner and breakfast for less than 150 RMB. The hotel also offers traditional clothing rentals for photos, which I loved! The owner is super friendly and even picked us up from the tourist center after we parked, and dropped us off again. Their cat is adorable and not shy at all! PS: The sticky rice wine is really good and surprisingly potent – I actually felt a bit tipsy, haha! Definitely worth trying!"
