After accompanying my wife back to Heilongjiang to visit our elders, we stopped for a night in Ji'an on our drive back. We stayed at the Guomen Hotel and were pleasantly surprised: firstly, the hotel was newly opened and the environment was exceptionally nice; secondly, the staff were exceptionally attentive, helping us with everything from check-in and settling our luggage to arranging breakfast for the next day and seeing us off at the door – every little detail touched us deeply! The hotel is near the Ji'an Port Guomen Scenic Area, although a bit far from the city center, it's only about 7km away, making it perfect for those traveling by car. The hotel is right next to the Yalu River, right next to National Highway 331, with North Korea on the opposite bank, so there's no need to go all the way to the river to see the sights. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, the best hotel I've stayed at in years! Highly recommended!

You have a restaurant but otherwise you have restaurants at the bottom of the hill, if you arrive late like me you have the wallace (like KFC) which closes at 11:30 p.m. The train station is a 10-minute walk, you have a slope that is really not that hard to climb, otherwise the taxi is stuck at a minimum price of 5 yuan so you will pay between 5 and 8 yuan.
