Hotel Rajmandir

When we booked this hotel , several doubts were in mind since it is into the Jaisalmer Fort itself. But belive us , it was osam experiance staying in Fort and have look towards city from top ,day time and night time as well...Very well maintained, clean, hygienic....staff is extra ordinary...our doubt of carrying luggage up, was sorted out by staff very quickly....They also arranged auto while leaving place....keep in mind , there is stiff road, to reach up with luggage is not easy....we also had dinner in open tarace ( actually Buruj ,what we called it ) and food was good.small kitchen provides excellent breakfast / tea- coffee/ lunch and dinner with smiley face......worth having experiance to stay in the fort.....Thank you Suresh ji for your warm welcome and making our stay mesmerising.
Hotel Himmat Niwas

I booked Himmat Niwas for 2 nights in last week of Dec 2023 for family. This is homestay rather than a hotel. My stay was comfortable It's inside the fort but unfortunately there is no city view (outside of fort) from rooms window (for which you want to stay inside fort). The owner Upendra ji is very supportive and reachable at anytime. Read full review to know in detail. During booking, I wanted room only but Upendra ji said breakfast will be there(added) with room. But the breakfast was ”arranged” & was really bad. Very less quantity, cold and average taste. As I booked directly so I had no option to opt out. There are pros & cons of the stay. Pros: Property was neat & clean, spacious clean bathroom with geyser & bathtub. Home like feeling, peaceful, decent size comfortable room, Terrace available to sit and roam and have some city/inside fort view. And owner Upendra ji himself is a big plus. He is very helpful & reachable at any time. He may also help in arranging cab for safari or sightseeing auto etc. Cons: Lack of professionalism. No toiletries provided.. not even soap. No complimentary water bottles in room. (I got water complementary as b/f was included in my syay). Bed was noisy and joint of two single beds. No restaurant or kitchen. No city view from room window as the property is little inside of the fort. Conclusion: This could be nice, value for money place to stay only if you get it in between 1k to 3k per night max. Above this tariff, its not worth it. (I paid 5k+ in the peak season but its not justified at all). Book room without breakfast and through travel portals only. If you need city view right from the room window, this homestay is not for you. Also there is no restaurant or kitchen so think accordingly. To Upendra ji: Thanks for your nice support. Please don't offer breakfast to guest as it requires special attention to get satisfaction. This will ultimately decrease customer's stay experience if not handled properly. Example - tea must be in thermal pots to keep hot or should be served hot exactly when needed. (We drank cold tea both days as it was directly served in cups with b/f). Water should always be served first. (Children need water just after first bite if spice is high). Quantity given was less & should be satisfactory. Spice level should be customized. And many such things. Rest all good. Thank you!
Hotel Garh Jaisal Haveli

Absolutely good value for money, the best place to spend in India for a few days, the hotel is at the top of the castle, overlooking the entire ancient city on the rooftop. From the airport, take a taxi for 800 rupees (back to the airport is 700). Since the car at the hotel is not accessible, the driver needs to contact the hotel in advance. The hotel will arrange a waiter to pick up at the gate of the city. The hotel can make an appointment to arrange a camel charter 2000. Other items are another. Be sure to tell in advance which items you want to play and what you don't want to play. There is a shop near the city gate to exchange for the brand on the rupee road. The exchange rate is the highest among the four cities I have visited. Don't miss it. There are residents living in the ancient city, so the price is still relatively moderate, the locals are very enthusiastic and very talkative, and there is a feeling of a tourist village. The hotel is very beautifully furnished, the food is very delicious and the price is not expensive. The best is the waiter. The service is very good. It is very humorous. It’s just that my English is really shameful and he can’t understand if he can’t talk to him. Although I don't know his name, it has added a lot of goodwill to the Indians and it is worth coming again.
