Plus side: In the lobby, they have artistic art gallery. Then I know that they will hold art exhibition. If this situation happened in early pandemic, I trully understand. But these situation happened after ppkm loosened up, means occupation rate also rised up. When I checked in... There was two ministry held the event there. I asked the occupancy with one situation, they said full booked for that day and tomorrow. So forgive me that I can't tolerate these things: -When I checked in, the key machine was broke. So the concierge assist me to open the door manually. The machine finally can be operated view hours later. -The tv wasn't working. Needed to call engineering first. Then the exhaust in front of the door was loud. Already fix but still loud. The engineering said when the temperature gows slow it became like this. -They only provide 1 mineral bottle at first. Need to ask for abother one. -Water keetle was leak. The water I poured soak into the tray. -They only provide one towel. I found the hotel provided 1 toothbrush set, but not towel. And the towel...wow...is it 4 stars hotel? When I ask another towel, they gave me the proper kne. Ah.. They also didn't provide toilet mat. I had to request it and it also didn't come. -Their idea to put shampoo and soap in the vanities completely blow my mind. So when we shower, we need to go out to pump the shampoo and soap? What are you trying to do? Dear Grandkemang, Imho, I think there won't be a problem if you focus on the goverment who will spend their annual budget, moreover on their year end budget. Their need to spend it, so maybe they won't complain like me for the service and situation. But for people like me... Apologies for being hars, but this situation make me never want to stay in here again... Except the goverment pay me for that.

1. The location was quite strategic. It was near Jakarta’s Golden Triangle (central business, shopping centres, cafes, and traditional markets). It was also accessible by Transjakarta. 2. The interior of the room took me back to the 90s. The cupboard, TV Desk, and work desk were made of blackwood, and there were several table lamps spreaded at every corner. The room was spacious. I booked a Deluxe Double Room. Unfortunately, dust was everywhere. You could even feel it glued into your skin, and breathe it into your precious lungs. It was so dirty all over the place. I also found some rubbish hidden inside the drawers. I found so many yellow spots and some holes on the linen and blanket. The bed itself was actually an attached-twin bed, and not a Queen/King size bed. The Air Conditioner was dirty and smelly. The Wifi wasn’t working and many TV channels had lost signal (I called a technician for help, but they didn’t come). I didn’t know why they needed to hide the refrigerator, coffee maker, glasses, teas, coffees, and sugars inside the drawer of the TV desk, which was so difficult to be found by the guests. The balcony was only made for the fan of the Air Conditioner, and the window couldn’t be opened, so I couldn’t enjoy the view there. 3. The bathroom was so spacious. The sink was attached into a long marble desk. The hosed spray attached to the toilet flowed a low-power of water. The shower tube was so large (I could even lie down on the floor). But there were only hosed shower and rain shower, with no faucet. 4. The restaurant was closed, maybe because of the pandemic and they hadn’t opened it yet in the New Normal Transition, so they didn’t serve breakfast of any kind. 5. I checked-in into the hotel at 2PM, and I checked-out of the hotel at 4PM on the same day. I couldn’t imagine myself having a night and sleeping inside the dirty and smelly room. There were only a few of the hotel’s attendants, and they weren’t wearing uniforms. Perhaps, the hotel was knocked down by the pandemic, and they weren’t ready yet to reopen to the public (but in fact they did). It was a very unpleasant thing I’ve ever experienced in the hospitality industry, and I could assure myself and everyone to not have a night there, ever again.

Overall, 6.5/10. Plus 1. Strategic location for a person planning to hang out in South Jakarta 2. The room is spacious even for 3 people and somehow clean 3. A fridge is available 4. Smart TV 5. It designed well so that the sun lighten my room in the morning. 6. There is a balcony, so someone with a concern for air circulation would like it Minus 1. I am the spotless type, so stains on the floor and wall disturbed me 2. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but still tolerable 3. There is no green scenery to enjoy from my room 4. Errr the curtain was too transparent

Staying at Tendean Residence was an unforgettable experience that I wouldn't consider returning to regardless of the price. Unfortunately, my sleep was greatly disrupted due to the excessive noise from the nearby road and the two mosques, which felt as though they were right next to my ears. Additionally, the room itself was poorly maintained, with many cabinets and items appearing old and rundown. If you value a peaceful night's sleep and cleanliness, I would not recommend this place to you.
