LURES HOTEL

A week holiday as part of a UK yoga holiday. The pros: Stunning scenery and coastline Beautiful decor Good value and cheap room upgrades Friendly staff Large enough to not feel crowded Clean and well kept Do-able commute time from the airport. Small array of shops and restaurants in walking distance Good buffet and cooked breakfast options. Varied lunch menu. Luxury feel to it Lovely big rooms (even the basics) all with hot tubs The cons: Very steep in places and a lot of steps (I couldn’t over 120 from my room to lower sun bed area). Golf buggies on offer but this too even bricked a hassle if you just want to pop back to your room Some staff don’t speak English which is fair enough but could be an issue if they want to attract more UK guests. Gym for a new hotel is below par and offers very little in equipment. Air con never on and a staff member kicked me in it one day. Staff need a bit more training in some areas such a concierge Taxi ride to get into town centre which (and this is an issue at bookend of the season) if it’s raining taxi cabs cannot get down the hill to collect you as too dangerous with slippy roads. When raining hotel flooded very easily in communal spaces Food very limited in hotel restaurant for dinner. Mainly meat and wouldn’t give us anything off the lunch menu which had far better choice. Dogs barking can make this tranquil location and little annoying but I think that’s the case for a lot of this area. Stray dogs everywhere. Whilst all rooms face the stunning sea view. Some of the basic rooms are eye level with the bungalow buildings in front therefore you see rooftops instead of sea. Overall I would return as you do get that sense of luxury for an affordable price (although I know we got reduced rate as first few months of opening). Would be keen to see if teething issues are ironed out and staff better trained just to compliment the luxury level it’s aiming for. Was glad we had the rep from Discerning Collection Travel Agents from the UK who also spoke Turkish and was beyond helpful.

Wonderful stay in this new property in October 2023. A beautiful hotle with stunning views of Kalamari Bay with Kalkan and Kas within easy distance by car or taxi. Some nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (and the hotel restaurant is very good too). The rooms are very well appointed and the breakfast is superb! Hotel has large infinity swimming pool and then a sun deck area with access to swim in the sea. Would not hesitate to recommend. Juts be aware the hotel is at the foot of very steep hill so quite a climb to local restaurants or bars but then that's good exercise to work off the enormous hotel breakfast! CHRIS

I stayed in Lures Hotel Kalkan for a week as part of a yoga holiday. It was one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It has only opened recently and whilst it had a few teething problems they were sorted quickly. The rooms are huge with fabulous sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good but the evening restaurant needs improvement. It’s within walking distance of the town but mostly uphill. A very short taxi ride will bring you to the town with lots of shopping and eating options. The Lures is definitely worth a visit.

This hotel will surely soon become the finest hotel in Kalkan, if not the region. The rooms are large with high class furnishings and breathtaking views, and these same views are shared by the stunning Infinity swimming pool and two restaurants. The Beach Club is spacious with easy access to the sea and a day in one of the cabanas was a great experience. Without exception the staff were so helpful, attentive and professional and helped make our 14 night holiday one of the most relaxing, stress free experiences we’ve had. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel or recommending the Lures to anyone who appreciates a first class hotel with breathtaking views.

Spent 3 days at the beach club. We though good value as the set amount paid at entry acts as credit for food and drink. Fantastic location, views are amazing. Service excellent with friendly , attentive staff. They work hard providing food and drink and keeping the areas clean. The lunchtime restaurant has beautiful views. We chose to be down on the lower decking to be close to the sea, which is so clear and warm. Would have been 5 stars however the lunchtime menu, although well cooked and presented, was too much of the standard burgers, pizzas , wraps, pasta etc. Being in Turkey, we would have loved more local fare, meze , traditional dips etc for a light lunch. The wooden steps that are covered by the sea are already splitting ( cable ties have been applied already to keep them together) and they are incredibly slippy . They need rethinking or maybe matting applied before someone has an accident on them . And the music! Why so loud. We heard the same 1980s loop on repeat every day. Luckily we were by the sea which covered up most of it. But we wouldn’t have stayed if the only sun beds available were higher up near the speakers. It also marred our lunchtime experience too. I’m honestly not sure if music is needed while people are sunbathing, chatting, reading or listening with earphones to their own music. Them maybe some quiet background music in the restaurant. However, we were shown around the hotel and some of the rooms and they look amazing, very spacious. We are actually considering staying a few days there next year.

Went for a drink. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. Service a bit amateurish but I guess early days. The real downside was the music. It was blasting out of the speakers. Not a tranquil experience! I simply cannot understand why the music is so loud. None of the other Kalkan beach clubs have anything like such volume. Gave me a headache

Arkadaşlarımızın tavsiyesi ile keşfettik instargam sayfasında da inceleyince çok beğendik ve deneyimlemek istedik. Dekorasyon olarak çok şık ve huzurlu bir ortam vardı. Kahvaltı bol çeşitli ve taze ürünlerden oluşuyordu biz beğendik. Plajı temiz düzenli ve güzeldi. Çalışanlar çok kibar ve güler yüzlüydü. Biz havuzlu oda seçtik çok memnun kaldık ama ortak havuzu da muhteşemdi büyüklüğü temizliği manzarası çok güzeldi. Akşam yemeği için de alakart restoranı tercih ettik inanılmaz lezzetliydi kokteylde de başarılılar sessiz sakin huzurlu keyifli bir tatil geçirdik tekrar tercih edeceğimiz bir otel her şey için çok teşekkürler.

We booked one of the hotels shore line Cabana’s and had lunch at the hotels beach club restaurant. Görkem coordinated everything for our family and made our last day in Kalkan a day to remember. If you want a special location to spend the day and watch the sun go down, I recommend the Lures Beach Club
